    Just ordered the Boba U4! I appreciate every single one of your reviews. My farvourite switches so far: 1. Cherry MX Clear (hand-lubed), 2. Akko Penguin.

    Dude just wanted to say; great audio! Your voice was clear and crisp and wasn't annoying with any mouth sounds or anything like that. First thing I noticed about this very well made vid! cheers!

    I would be really interested to see what you think of the Haimu Whisper tactile silent switches in comparison to these. They don't use rubber legs on the stems, opting for a more unconventional method of reducing volume. From what I hear, they feel more like a traditional switch, just much quieter.

    If I could suggest another silent tactile to review, i’ve been very interested in more reviews of the Durock Shrimps since it’s always been described as a “silent T1”.

      Thank you for this comment! After seeing this I gave them a plunge and OMFG!!! I think I've found my forever switch. Shrimps are like heaven for my fingers and should definitely be reviewed on this channel. I already ordered a another set for my second workstation, thanks again!

      I've been looking at those... they're definitely one of the best "silent" tactile switches. They have a whopping 35g difference between the peak and valley, which makes them very tactile, but with a peak of 70g, they're a bit firm. And it kind of sticks on the upstroke, with a return valley of just 15g, so it takes extra work to lift the fingers afterward. As far as I can tell, the Boba U4 is more like a "silent T1" than the Shrimp is, since its response curve is much closer to the T1.

      Hi did you have any issues with the spacebar for the shrimps? I saw in keebworks' review his spacebar got stuck because of the spring in the shrimp T1s :(@@MrDazmo

    I am starting to really like the sound of damped switches. I love my SGI granite with white damped alps and those switches are awesome. I wonder if the mx world silent switches will be good as well given how I am familiar with the sharp tactility of alps

    Hey, ik this isn't related to this video, however, I am stuck between buying the Akko lavender blues and the Akko jelly blacks. I have watched both of your reviews on them, any recommendations?

    • @KeebWorks
      @KeebWorks  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven’t reviewed Akko Blues, I think you meant the lavender purples. But both are great switches, although keep in mind that the purples are tactile and the blacks are linears, so they aren’t directly comparable.

    Serious question: Does the boba U4 actually has zero pre travel? I bought some zlient v2 switches which I believe is similar to boba U4. I heard that zilent V2s don't have any pre-travel but when I put them on they actually do have a very tiny bit! That really bothers me and I considering switching to boba. Can anyone who tried both can inform me plz?

    • @KeebWorks
      @KeebWorks  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I can confirm there is no pre-travel on the U4.
      I’ve yet to try the Zilent V2s, but it would make sense that they have a little bit of pre-travel since the regular Zealio switch have pre-travel too.

    sorry for bad english but i need your help ❤️:
    i'm going to buy a new keyboard tomorrow "gamakay mk68" and i'm confused about what switch should i choose between gateron optical silver switches and optical red switches , i'm afraid to choose the silver switch because it may be too light for me , which leads to missclick while gaming (fps games like valorant,apex,csgo ..) and typing (programming)
    banggood doesn't offer red switches to black keyboard and i want the black version

    Shame about the tactile event at the top. I suggest the mushiness would not be noticeable if the tactile event was lower, synced to the switch event instead of being divorced from it. That is how you get a traditional switch feel.

    Nice review. 7/10 for a silent switch that is silent because you don't like silent switches, huh?

    • @KeebWorks
      @KeebWorks  ปีที่แล้ว

      In the sound category, I was making a comparison of how I'm not a fan of how most silent switches sound compared to other (unsilienced) switches.
      As with all things in this hobby, personal preferences play a huge part. The score I give shouldn't really be the main focus if anything.
      These are still great switches, mind you. It's one of the best silent tactile switches around.
