After stabbing my left index finger with the screwdriver and applying a bandage, I successfully replaced my battery. And, of course, I inadvertently pressed the alarm button and woke up the neighbors at midnight. But all is well now.

mine looks just like this one except it doesnt have the tailgate popper and uses the same battery. im guessing your fob doesnt look like his.
Mine also took a 2032 and the fob is exactly like this one in appearance and my 2019 Ram 2500 has the same features as described here.

Sure thing. Some take the 2450 others take the 2032. Not sure why there is a difference
My 2019 1500 Limited takes the 2450 as well.

2032 battery here also - 2018 RAM 3500 Limited, also the place to insert one's screw driver was the next slot down.

Thanks. Maybe my key fob battery was low. Sometimes when I try to start my truck I get a message that says "Key fob not detected", and I have to take the fob out of my pocket and use it to push the start button. Well, the truck's only 3 months old and I can unlock my truck from 200 feet away, so I doubt that the battery was low. So anyway, today I had to use the fob to push the button so I took it out of my pocket and placed it in the cup holder because it's kind of a pain to get into my pockets while I'm sitting. Anyway I forgot to grab it when I got where I was going. I always use the button on the door to lock the truck. It's not supposed to allow you to be locked out. I got locked out. High five for (AAA), because they got there in 15 minutes, and it took the young man about 15 seconds to open the door. So anyway, I have a good assortment of button batteries which I picked up at Tractor Supply for $6, so I thought I'd just go ahead and change the battery, which led me here to leave this long story. Thanks again.

My 2019 Ram 3500 took a CR2032. I found out after I ordered a box of 2450s. My 2019 Durango also takes a CR2032.

My 2019 Ram Tradesmen uses a CR2032 battery and my 2019 Ram Laramie uses a 2450 battery. Open your key fob BEFORE ordering the batteries!

What's that spring mechanism just next to the battery?
That holds the mechanical key in place. When you pretty the button on the side, it releases the physical key.

Most of these take a 2450. Some do take a 2032 but not this one

This battery is becoming the new norm since it has more mAh. Newer GMs use this battery as well.
