Nuno sits on the thrones reserved for only the greatest guitar Gods.
Love this. Especially the 'I am going to listen to that solo again, sorry' bit. Cheers!
Yus!! Nuno is top 10 for sure…. Top 5 in my books. Love all your reactions, keep up the good work Justin! P.S. I think I am I Ever Gonna Change is probably my fav Extreme song
I’ve been a fan of Extreme since day one, they never disappoint, Nuno is a monster player and band and songs are epic, glad to see them back.
Been an Extreme fan since their first album, and this new song is BADASS! Looking forward to hearing the rest of the album!
im so glad Extreme is back my favorite song well one of my favs its Rest In Peace i love the video too
MAN O MAN… out of this world! So pumped to hear them again! True story, Gary Cherone was my gym teacher in High School. 9th grade 1984. I think they were still called The Dream. 🎸🤘🏻
Thrilled to see the return of Extreme. 2023 needs them. Also, this channel must go on forever. Absolutely addicted.
I literally cannot get enough of this solo!! It’s eargasmically amazing! 🤘🏻💫
Nuno amazing, always be one of my favorite guitarist. My first time that I listened Extreme was on the Freddy Mercury Tribute and I fell in love. Hope to see them soon.
Have a serious soft spot for Extreme. And Nuno is so, so talented.
Can’t get enough of these videos. Thank you, Justin.
I love Nuno, and Extreme harmonizes like no other band. Three sides to every story is one of my favorite albums.
You haven't heard of Alice in Chains?
@@spill1t yes, I have one of my favorites as well.
Love your show, Justin! You always bring out the positive, and that's such a great thing in these hard times.
Awesomeness!!! Had no idea they had released a new record... absolutely f**king awesome!!!
Wow Nuno is incredible. I have never heard him play before nor did I listen to Extreme. Fantastic band.
I first discovered Extreme all the way back in the Bill and Ted days and have seen them live multiple times, they never disappointed.
Been waiting for this for so long, it's brilliant, the solo is ridiculously good, can't wait for the album. Extreme have always been underrated and largely misunderstood in the mainstream. Been a major fan since the beginning.
Extreme's first album was 1989 and the solo's were unreal! where would the World of Rock be without Nuno Bettencourt!?
Amazing return from an amazing band
Nuno is one of few guitarists who still surprises me. Fantastic!
I love Extreme! This is an awesome new song! And awesome takes by Justin!
Extreme is a great band! That solo is fucking mind blowing! Can't wait to add this new record to my collection hoping a cool vinyl is part of the release
Great show once again Justin👍❤️from Liverpool 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧👍
Gary Cherone, one my favorite singers!!! I will always love his vocals on Hammer to Fall at the Freddie Mercury Tribute back in '92!!!
You are just Fukin gold mate. Great to hear a Great player talk about a Great player. You Rock.
I always liked Extreme. They are so much better than the songs they are most widely known for. Love Nuno's playing and style. He's instantly recognizable. Not sure I like the new single, but I'm glad they're back.
You the man, Justinooo. Hurrah!
I love the interview with Brian May where he dissect one of Nuno’s solos, think it’s: Get The Funk Out" actually. And he is just in awe over how well played/creative it is. Nuno is a little overlooked these days, but his creativity is next level even in todays standards. So glad he is back!
how cool is that? :) Thank you for your funny and cool "song description". Best wishes from Luzern, Switzerland and I'm curious for more vids from you.
Love Extreme, and Nuno was one of my absolute heroes when I started to play. Just a really great and talented band.
Love when you talk about your favorite things. So amped up, dig it!
Extreme are amazing what a band .. years ahead of their time
Incredible band, great song. Can’t wait for the album
I just said to a mate, Rihanna having Nuno on guitar is like having a Ferrari to do the school run. This solo is next level. Shades of Play with me/Flight of the Wounded Bumblebee. Brilliant. Keep up the good work Jhawk
He man women also - the muted repeated bit
@@cc_1983 good shout, great song
I have seen weirder things like Slash playing the guitar for a Spanish pop singer...here you have it th-cam.com/video/dVMoEnpl66Y/w-d-xo.html
Nuno was/is Rhiannas music director for the live shows. That's my understanding anyway!
@@djw8133 yeah, he's worked with her for a long time. nice gig in fairness, but I want to see rock solos!
Dude! this is the second time you have brung my awareness of awesome songs in the music ether. First one was your Tyler Childers video, loved the song and ventured further into other songs produced by the artist to find an array of amazing music! And now this! tbh I did hear the song on Planet Rock radio but didn't know the artist and I am so glad you pushed this video live to give the music the positive credit they so rightly deserve, who says rock is dead....long live rock and roll!
Sorry, tell a lie, third time, Billy Idol : Caged, what! a! song!
Weird! I only know one Extreme song - More Than Words - and happened to be listening to it today and thinking “I wonder what happened to them?” Clearly this is a sign to go check them out. This new song sounds ace! Can’t go wrong with a double ostinato! 😁 Thanks Justin! 🥰
My god, you don't know what you're missing...!
@@baolbardotbulsara I’m checking it out! I’m checking it out! 😂 Better late than never! And to be fair, I was *2* when More Than Words was released! Gimmie a little credit for even knowing that one! 😝😂🥰😁
@@NinStardust Hahah! Well, it's never too late!
III Sides to Every Story is an album to blow you away. It’s Extreme’s Sgt Pepper
@@mikeimpressionsreviews Thanks for the tip, I’ll have a listen! 🥰
I was hoping you would do a video about this!!! Yes!!! Thank you, Justin.
Nuno is just marvelous.
Amazing! Simply amazing!!!
Nuno is a guitar god. Also seems to age much more slowly than most humans.
1966
He's the Paul Rudd of shredders...
@@Moveplaylift Paul Rudd mirror scene wanderlust? If yes, then I agree.
soo excited to find your channel ... going to tell everybody I know that doesn't know .. and then I'm gonna give them shit for not telling me 1st
I discoverd them on the Freddie Mercury Tribute VHS ( yes 😁 ) they did a Medley of Queen songs...it was in 1992...I don't really know their music but Nuno is a legend ! I discoverd Metallica as well on this video, they opened the gig...I knew at this moment I wanted to be a musician ! It was on April 20th 1992 , the video came out in December...the attitude of Jason Newsted on stage changed my life forever ! I was 14...
I was there ❤
@@ragman1960 Respect ! 🙏 I was already a huge Queen fan back then ! But 14 years old living in the South West of France didn't allow me to see big gigs at the time ! 😂
Did you make it as a musician? I don't necessarily mean professionally, just would you as a 14 year old look at you now and think you rock hard enough?
@@AstromarineCorpse I m satisfied, It's my job now ! In a modest band but I have enough money to live ! I sing and play guitar...I just wish I had spend more time practicing in my 20's instead of drinking and that kind of stuff....partying too hard until the addiction came...anyway, things are what they are and I m 12 years sober
@@sebastienfayemendie2514 Double congratulations then! for the sobriety and the fulfilling your dreams. I never had the professional musician dream, but I always loved playing in a band, especially live shows. I did it as a kid but then life happened, happy to report that now at 47 I am back on the bass and playing with a band again, even gave a tiny tiny concert again. Music is fucking magical, man
FIRE! I cannot wait for more. You made me laugh really hard during this one. Thank you. Here is to "Ten".
You asked a few days back about content. Would love to see you and Luke Spiller doing duets and/or covers of your favorite songs together. You guys have a great vibe together and your vocals are AMAZING!
How about a Struts, Extreme, The Darkness triple bill tour? Yes please. Pat Badger LOVES The Struts too.
Sadly the licensing fees for doing cover tunes have gotten stupid expensive.
first time ive had to pause your video to go watch the actual video. WOW ! talent just speaks .. no screams for itself. They were such a favorite in my formative years! good call on sharing this one for sure! so excited to hear what next from them
Whoa, the verse vocal melody and tone remind me heavily of Stone Temple Pilots.
Velvet Revolver
He even moves like Scott W..in this vid
Silvergun Superman that is.
It’s been my first thought as well.
Verse and pre chorus actually.
Great song though.
Not a big fan of the mix myself.
But hey…right about time for a comeback, Gary’s singing better than ever.
And Nuno…come on…🫣🤤
Absolutely. Silver gun super man?
It’s like a tribute to weiland and Nuno has said the whole album is a tribute to EVH
Thank you so much for sharing the story of the amp fail. Haven't laughed that hard in quite a while and I needed it.
Nuno is badass, always has been!
Been bouncing between the video and an extreme album on my phone, it’s so heavy for them, it’s sounds like they hit the deep button on the amp. Can’t wait to hear more! Interesting post, thanks!
The hidden song on "Waiting for the Punchline" has one of the sickest riffs of all time. Nuno is an absolute legend.
The Darkness Rocks! Love you guys! one of the greatest guitar bands of all time! Nuno's new solo is beyond insane!
Another guy that rarely gets mentioned is Steve Stevens. Another incredible guitarist. Nuno is the definition of “cool guitarist” Reverse headstock, painted finger nails, long Fabio hair. And insane chops. Too cool
Cousin Steve!
THE extremely gorgeous unique Steve Stevens🤩
Oooh...long hair and painted nails! Too much, huh?
Steve Stevens is one of my favourites. Originally found out about him when my old man showed me the Top Gun anthem - then I heard Atomic Playboys and that was one of the songs that inspired me to play guitar a few years back. Now I can play it too, not as well as Steve, but I’m always improving 😂
Painted nails on a man. Definitely not normal
Justin, that’s a simply lovely jumper!
Just when you think you’ve heard it all. Nuno comes out with something fresh.
I only just found your channel (thanks to the Charasmatic Voice!) and I’m loving it! Love your humour. 💗🇦🇺
