Good morning! Matt.Just received some tying supplies yesterday.Expecting bad weather here in Maryland.Perfect weather to be indoors tying.I am working on some micro jigs for the spring run of White and Yellow perch. Also some shad flies.Nice looking pattern.Hope i don't have to go outside and shovel snow.Stay safe.
Good morning Matt. ☕️. Interesting pattern. I had never heard of silver pheasant until this video and this is the first fly I’ve seen that is tied with it. Hope your weekend has gone well. The cool weather is moving off from here but home was -40F/C yesterday. Glad to be down here. Take care Matt.
I love finding new books on tying, and finding interesting flies to tie, like this one. I'm going to to look for this book and add it to the collection. Thanks Matt!
Good Morning Sir Matt, this Bottle Brush fly looks so cool. I don't have any silver pheasant feathers, but I still have that pheasant skin from way back when and I'll be putting that to good use on some variant patterns, stay safe in all that crazy weather your getting, a good time for coffee and fly tying. Congratulations on reaching a mile stone on 20k subscribers 🎉😊 your the man and a great friend. I like to see a Dragon Fly Nymph tied on the channel some day. Thank You Sir Matt.
Interesting looking fly. I'd never heard of silver pheasant before so you learn something new all the time. I've made it to Florida and only a couple of weeks until the big lake for a month. Keep the good stuff coming buddy.
Good morning matt great looking fly probably good for bass. The old rule of thumb for adding wire was it should equal the diameter of wire of the hook hope that helps you 😊
Great video Matt. The other day I saw video showing how to use large feathers in a dubbing loop to make collar hackles for smaller flies and I’m wondering if I could use that technique with my silver pheasant tail feather fibers stripped off as a substitute for those cheek feathers?
Thanks Mark! A Lady Amherst *might* work but they're usually used for tippets (unless you have some body feathers). I probably wouldn't use the tippets for a hackle as they're too expensive! I'd try this with some light colored hen first. Or some other upland game bird like a quail or maybe partridge.
Hey! 20+K subs! Congats Matt Cool pattern, with $ilver Pheasant no less, beautiful bird. Pink is a popular color for Alaska. Good idea on using a different hackle like grizzly. Those bronze - like iridescent breast feathers from a wild turkey would look great too. I tied some small jigs for a friend's son with some feathers he gave me. They were short stemmed but wide so I had to use two feathers to hackle the jig, no way you could palmer them. They did catch bass for the kid. Thanks Matt, have good long weekend
Morning Matt, thanks again for your time. I really like this fly. Sorry, but I'll be doing variants. I am not Rockefeller. Lol.
Good morning ☕️☕️
Beautiful as always and hope you are having a relaxing weekend 😉
Gidday Matt. You dure do find some cool looking flies to tie. Thanks.
What a great attractor pattern. I will tie it in a smaller size and use for pan fish. Thanks, matt.
Another nice one for my list! Thanks for sharing. Have a blessed day my friend.
Great pattern. I think a silver pheasant skin it in my future. Thanks for sharing Matt.
Awesome pattern and good to see something different.thanks Matt
Another nice looking fly. Thank you once again for the video.

Heading to my sisters to put in a hot water tank and it’s pouring snow, but I do t care cause I’m listening to Savage Flies on TH-cam 😂😂😂😂
20 thousand wow
So this is a wholly bugger soft hackle ish cross bred, I can see some color variations working for other trout
Awesome bass pattern, Matt! I most definitely could use this one for local bass! Thank you! Tight lines! 😎🎣

Hello Matt! Cool and easy fly, thanks. Enjoyed watching. 👍
Definitely a cool pattern Matt 👍
Another wonderful fly. Thx Matt.
Great looking fly Matt.
Great fly! I'll tie this in chartruse and purple, too, for coastal cutthroat and summer runs. Thank you. And I just ordered the book!
It's definitely a cool looking fly, Matt. Love the colors on this one
I definitely need to try this one out. Thanks for the video Matt and keep warm
Thanks Dave! It has certainly been a chilly week down here in Maryland. :-)
👍💪
I think that would be a real Steelhead catcher!!
Exelente thanks for sharing
Thank you for another excellent video. Can you let us know the vice that you are using? thank you.

Neat fly
Hi Matt. Thanks again for all you do for our sport. I don’t have any silver pheasant. Do you think a Lady Amherst feather would work?

I have plenty of partridge so perhaps I can use that. Thanks again
I was the 200th like I win
