- Last weekend saw us in Essex. As we have not run at Clacton Seafront parkrun before we decided to take a trip down to the coast. This 3-lap course offers many interesting features as well as beautiful sea views.
We filmed the whole course on a point of view Insta 360 3, and included information about the things you can see en route.
It's a lovely Parkrun and good to see you there. Harwich is also a beautiful Parkrun and Mersea Island. Coming from Essex, it's great to see all the beautiful places we have.
We did Mersea Island last year, so Harwich is probably next on the to-do list. 🙂
282 different parkrun venues is an awesome achievement. Those 4 different gardens on the top promenade look beautiful! Great delve into your ancestry there John, really interesting. Never been to Clacton so must go now, you've inspired me👏👏👏
It's a really lovely course. Many other nice parkruns in Essex, too. You'll have to keep going back like we do. 😅
Really like this video, looks like one of the best parks runs you’ve filmed yet, fresh air beautiful seaside views & a sense of Freedom, cool ✅👊🏼👣🥳🌲🏃🏽♂️✌️
Yes, it certainly was one that was good to visit! 👍
@@tworunningbrooms Looking forward to visiting the parkrun at Clacton tomorrow (it’s where the Pet Shop Boys made some of their film years ago). Cheers for uploading.
Just love the Essex coast. So much variation. I am so lucky to live within easy reach of it. Nice video but I still can't believe that you would do a park run the day before taking on a full marathon, even if you were taking it easy. Did you ever check out Brooms Farm in Marks Tey when you were looking for ancestors in this lovely county? I did send a link but it may have been blocked.
Running a few miles easy the day before a marathon isn't unusual and something we always do as do many other folk. 🙂
I'll look up the farm, thanks!
282 different courses. Jeez, I think I've done 2 different courses.
Great running guys, well done.
Thanks Neil. I think we've done one of your two courses. Malahide. We've also done St Anne's in Dublin when we took a day trip to Glasnevin Cemetery.
@@tworunningbrooms both Malahide and St. Anne's are beautiful parks. I run in Malahide park for 90% of my running and I ran through St Anne's park today.
Clacton was my go to seaside resort when I was a kid in the 70's, a short hop out of London
Good memories, then. 🙂
That was a fantastic video. The quality, wow! You've got me looking into insta 360s now 😂
Yes we've really enjoyed doing these POV parkruns.
Looks wonderful. Reminds me how lucky I am to live and run in a similar seaside town.
Yes, you are. 🙂
That’s incredible to have done that much tourism and park runs. Have you guys done Horsham yet?
Not yet. I think Tilgate is the only Sussex one we have done.
You two get about a bit. Fair play 👌
Doing the parkrun 400 yards from our front door tomorrow for a change 😀
