  • After months of that terrible, cringeworthy sound of the wheels rubbing, I decide to finally bite the bullet and clearance the Evo. In this episode, we'll roll the rear fenders and add some negative camber up front. A lot of patience needed but the results are worth it!

    Wheel specs? Did it fully resolve your contact issue

      Yes it did, they were 18x9.5 all around. Don't remember the offset but I can try and find it. I've since moved on to 18x10 Volk TE37s et39 all around. Rolling the fenders was absolutely required (along with some other things) to get those situated.

    Great process and your patience made the job turn out great. I need for my CRX as its showing I've gained weight as every time I hit a slight bump in road tires rub. Ordered from Eastwood today. Thanks for sharing your process sire.

    Damn, car looks SO good man. Loved the shots at the end. Great job on showing the process, you did a really good job of explaining each step. This is why I started watching your channel in the first place, clear, concise instructions!

      Dude really appreciate it! As always thanks for the support. Haha yeah tried to be a little cinematic there, didn't want you guys to have to stare at a fender for 20m w/o anything else lol.

    Did this stop the wheels scraping as im currently waiting on a set of 18” 9.5 et30 wheels and thinking i may have to do my arches aswel 🤦🏽‍♂️ ill be running 245/35/18 tyres on ohlins coilovers

      Definitely! It made a big difference for me (also 18x9.5 with a similar offset). I feel like I don't have to worry about rubbing anymore (unless it's full lock and big bump). I'm glad I did it - but it was time consuming for sure.

    So here’s the thing, this is a great video. But you wouldn’t be able to search this on TH-cam to save your life. You have some great content but need to work on making your titles more searchable! As a tip, I would rename this “How to Roll Fenders on an Evo 8/9”

      Really appreciate this good piece of advice. I'll definitely go through them and update - guess it's hard for me to think about it from a viewer's perspective - if that makes sense. In the meantime, check out the title of this video now 😄Thanks again

    Bro I got 18x9.5 +15. What should I do about the rear lol

    • @supercarmio
      @supercarmio  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      that's gunna be tough lol. Depending on your tire width and suspension height, you'll probably need to relocate the bumper tab, i.e push it back an inch. If you're not trying to put a lot of tire back there, you can just roll and pull the rears.

    Subscribed. What are the wheel dimensions and offset? And spacer size? Sorry if you mentioned that somewhere.

    • @supercarmio
      @supercarmio  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      🙌appreciate that! 18x9.5 et38 + 7.5mm spacers all around.

      @@supercarmio It looks great. I thought they were even more aggressive than that. I have a set of wheels on the way. 18x9.5 +25 front and 18x9.5 +35 rear. According to my measurements it should put me at the outer edge of the fenders.

      @@BLADES1320 Yeah definitely! Esp the fronts - will look awesome. What brand/model?

    • @BLADES1320
      @BLADES1320 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@supercarmio I went with the Konig Ampliform. Flow formed, not expensive, and no need for spacers. Can't wait to try them out. Right now I'm running stock 17" BBS with 20mm spacers. Also, I don't want to say you're wrong, but at 9:43 in the video. Your front spacers look much larger than 7.5 mm. Looks like 25mm?

    • @supercarmio
      @supercarmio  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BLADES1320 Those look awesome, really dig the design. I like the stock BBS but those can now be good backup wheels hah. Gosh, my apologies man, I knew that sounded wrong. They are 17.5mm up front and 7.5mm in rear. Sorry!

    Great video Carmine!!! Why not cut & shave plus relocate rear bolt? Awesome stance & I have similar wheels to you!!!! I was riding low at 100mm at the lowest point but decided to go back up to 110mm! Best decision I ever made!!! I still get a lil rear tyre scrub but I will eventually go get my guards cut, shaved & relocate rear bolt!#LuvdemBrideSeats

      Thanks man! That is a good technique, I might have to try it out, so far rolling has proved to do the trick. Haha I know, sometimes it's almost not worth it being so low. Glad you like the car! The seats are awesome. Driver's takes a while to get used to (super tight), passenger's is like a boat in comparison lol.Thanks for watching
