Nice video and all but we need to know what you’re saying the music is too loud and we don’t hear your voice well. I had to stop watching just because I couldn’t hear you.
Thank you Driver. Appreciate the video however my only problem is hooking to the rub rail. I was trained in flat bed 28 years ago and DOT regulations changed about securement. The rub rail is not meant for securement. Hooking behind and under the rail to the structure of the trailer. Either the lip or the chassis.
He is hooking the rub rail and that is wrong. Should hook under the trailer instead. He is half strapping on the winches and that is illegal. Strap goes all the way through the winch slot first then fold up your slack. He should be using edge protection on his straps to prevent damage to the transformers.
@Facustoms. have 28 years experience. Securement to the rub rail is not the right way. So what happens if the rub rail is damaged for any reason? Most important it's not rated for actual load bearing. Can you use it yes. But just because you can doesn't mean you should. Humility is a great character attribute. We are all subject to flaw. Blessings to you sir. Thank you for the video.
This is absolutely NOT how you tie down 3 phase transformers, I do this a lot, I have 3 phase on right now, this will get you banned from every shipper I know of from Jeff City to Laurel Ms to Dyersburg Tn. Do not do what this guy does.
@@Facustoms Rub rails are normally designed to protect tiedowns, not support them. In fact, most rub rails are not rated by the manufacturer for cargo securement purposes. Even though it’s not prohibited 🚫 in U.S. DOT is fighting against it.
thanks for sharing your knowledge excellent, safely is first nice 👍 job safely trip !!!

The rub rail is not meant for securement.
Hooking behind and under the rail to the structure of the trailer.
Either the lip or the chassis.
Re-read the regulations. The new revision allows securement to the rub rail.
So where's your twist on the green ones?
The twist is supposed to be on BOTH sides of the load lol.
It’s going 20mi away to yard
@@Facustoms
It's just that it's a tutorial, and there's people seeing that and thinking it's OK.
They don't know it's going 20 miles.👍

I actually disagree with that....
@@Facustoms hopefully anyone watching this video and several others on here wanting to learn will look into the rules enforced by the DOT.
