Agreed. Backing up trailers, whether single or multiple, is actually quite simple in concept, but a little [cough] more difficult in practice. One isn't too hard to learn. More than that ... bah ! I know the -how-, but the doing ... I can barely handle a 5th wheel, [censored] anything beyond that. =)

I just found this channel a week or so ago and now have watched quite a few of his videos. I am not in this industry. So for someone like me this guy is great. He makes it a learning experience and entertaining with all the excellent explanations he provides. Aside from the content itself, the "production" of these videos IMHO is among the best. From the usage of many camera angles to show what is happening all around to the use time lapse when appropriate combined with the always great selection of music this is a great channel.

Nice to see the early dialog between you and the pole/escort regarding how to do things and his attitude towards such commentary. This helps him learn if necessary, and just as important, it helps him understand how you think which makes it easier for him to prepare for what you'll want.

Bridge height and width might be something that should be revisited in North America. The size of machinery and structural parts has been going up, and contractors would most definitely increase the size further if they could. Fewer but larger parts makes for quicker assembly and reduces the amount of work that has to be done up high, or over water bodies. Its also easier to control quality in a factory than on a construction site. Newer bridges should be built with that in mind.

Great video so far Doug. As you explained about the road narrowing, and what we in the UK call the camber (the curvature), I can totally understand it. I have noticed that the load seems a touch "bouncy" (may be the camera that makes it look as if it moves), so obviously have to drive carefully. Some lovely pieces of real estate🤣. Must be very frustrating having to slow right down to get under the power lines though

The worst part is driving in Quebec. I have a regular delivery at the Maxi in St-Jean-Sur-Richelieu, just through the first lights where you turned left, and I hate the roads. There are no good driving roads in Quebec. The 30 used to be good bit even that garbage now
