Pouring the batter in the butter is a trade secret, never seen that in a recipe before 😊yum

I love baking cobbler batter by melting the butter first. My blueberry lemon cobbler has this style batter also and it is amazing. I got this butter method from Nathalie Dupree in her New Southern cookbook. Hope you'll give this apple cobbler a try. It is lip-smacking delicious. Thanks for your sweet comment.

You have a down to earth calming presence. I guess I'll make my own self rising flour since I can'y find organic anywhere. NIce recipe!

Thank you so much for the recipe ❤
I just have a quick question if you don’t mind, do we use salted or unsalted butter 🧈?
    Thank you !

Great question and thanks for asking. I would try to use unsalted, but it doesn't matter that much. If you don't have unsalted, just use salted. This apple cobbler will be delicious either way. Enjoy

True confessions: I love apple desserts, but rarely make them because I get so intimidated about peeling and coring the apples.

I feel ya. If you slice your apples thinly enough you don't need to peel them. When apples are thinly sliced, the peels cook and soften, so they're barely noticeable. Try this and I'll be over to taste test.
