- This is a custom build of mine, and I quite enjoy it! There are two things that don't get utilized with Germany enough...cannon and doppelsöldners!! Here I pair them together in an FF build that gets 3 cannons! Let me know your thoughts!

I think you can optimize this build by going for Quartermaster in lieu of the Philosopher, and keeping your economy on food gathering instead of switching to chopping. I don't believe access to the earlier market upgrades are worth the loss in resource efficiency from those food crates compared to wood. Also, just use a single wagon to unpack crates. Ganging up on crates is a waste of villager time, as it makes them less efficient, and wagons can gather quickly and efficiently.
I like the dopp/cannon strat, it's very effective, and as usual your unit control and tactics are top-notch. I particularly like the flanking action with the uhlans, it really froze the enemy, making them choose between protecting their exposed villies and trying to fend off your frontal assault.

@dansil92 It's not fast enough in most cases from my practice, I've tried it! I liked this variation more, but I'm sure it can work given the right scenario
@dansil92 That's what I thought too when I originally made it but can't remember why it didn't work as well as the food. Every time the food age worked great, the wood one would sometimes take longer I think. But I haven't done this build in a long time, this was a few months ago, so I have absolutely no memory lol. I'd love to see the math!

Dopp kills cav, cannon kills all type of inf, this strat looks great! In addition, it is cost effective! I loved it!

Recently got a new girlfriend and she said she was into WoW back in the day. Kept my AOE3 gaming to myself which meant I was missing some videos for the sake of playing games whenever I have time. Well, I showed her your recent insane merc army video and she loved the whole hour. Now, she’s texting me that you’ve posted videos and her cpu is running AOE3 a couple hours a day now. So, thanks for making such easy to digest content that I could show a random video to my girlfriend and she turned into a player and a fan!

I'm genuinely confused by people who dislike videos like this. Like literally this is your only content, if someones watching they are watching literally for AOE3. literally you use the same formula. With such a niche channel like this why would someone waste their time trying to attack this channel lol

@@uluomu I understand how channels that often upload good content end up posting something disturbing or clearly clickbait, or anything in between, which deserves the downvote, but such a niche and small channel like this, you'd literally have to hunt dislikes. Literally anyone who watches this channel does so exclusively for AOE3 content. Like why downvote when there are millions of other youtubers with varied content.

lol someone tried doing this strat on me in a 1v1 last weekend. a french musk/hus rush is a good counter to this if ur quick enough

I never understood why they are called Doppelsöldner. Roughly translated it means Double mecenary. Turns out it was because they volunteered to be on the front and they got double the payment as usual for that.
Same I looked that up too! I expected it to be something to do with their double handed swords but no. Those swords were apparently called ‘Zweihänder’
Do a Portuguese Mortar Strat with the card that gives them extra range.

This is the most fun ive had watching ur videos man.
I dont know how any body will counter this raid without knowing before. would it make a difference if he had calvs? Only things comes to my mind is culvs. If he had walls fieldgun would destroy them,if he if he had fieldgun/cuvs, cavs gonny destroy them and normal troops cant stand against 3 cannons.

Dopple/uhlans is one of the strongest melee combos in game. Possibly even better than lancers/rods cuz dopple have splash damage.

I did this build three times today. Twice against otto and one time against Germany. Lost all three matches because of Janis/Pike rush. I hit age 3 before 8 minutes but they had my town center destroyed by 9 min. Any advice?
Hey Julius! Thanks for trying it out. It is fortress attack, so it's not the best against rushes. I'm surprised that all 3 rushed and did not go to fortress. I would make sure you have your age 2 8 xbow shipment in there along with the age 3 skirm shipments. You should be able to hold off any infantry rushes with those.

Hey! I just got into aoe3 and I need some help. I play with my cousins and we always play deathmatch, not supremacy. Can you tell me what country is best to use and what strategy to use with that country
All of them are good in their own way. China has 220 population, so they can be good late game, france has a good army, so does japan, germany, india, portual, and british.
Dear SamuraiRevolution - are Grenadiers worth going for, or are other options for say the British better?
Grenadiers are really strong, but underrated. Brits have a whole strategy that uses grens to their full potential. SR made a video about it and the result was spectacular.
