The Great Hall of the People and The Monument to the Peoples' Heroes along with eight other projects for a total of ten was built in 1959 to mark the tenth anniversary of the founding of the PRC. All the projects only took only ten months to complete prior to the October 1st National Day in 1959 !
A fine use of money at a time when the People were living in abject poverty.
@@8964TS Those ten projects still stand and being used today to inspire an entire nation and people that is more than what I can say for the West and Europe that squandered their taxpayer's dollars for building silly bike paths and installing flower pots on lamp posts that does not even inspire a bird would use ! The Chinese people paid all their debt to the Soviet Union even at the expense of it's own people suffering a lesson that Wokeists like you will never understand !

(how many houses and servants A lady would need??) when UK asked UNICEF for food aid last year while children in many other underdeveloped countries ARE still living in abject poverty today!

Yes it takes some time to get the duck..Half hour is normal.
我以前爱吃北京烤鸭，也经常去吃，最长等过2小时，如果不提前预定。你又是周六晚上6点半过去，等个2小时实在太正常。
我说的等不是上烤鸭的时间，是安排就座的时间，因为满客了，需要等待空桌，经常要等2小时，等你2小时后终于入座，你还要在等1个小时上菜。

I like the restaurants in China where the ambience looks very polished but yet customers can just wear casual clothes and dine there. But in many western countries you have to dress in a suit or proper dress and shoes to even get in. It's very segregated in that sense.
西服和皮鞋本身就不属于中国服装，而中国也没有那种文化，普通出去吃个饭就算是去5星级大酒店里吃饭也从来没有非要人穿正装这种文化，而是你喜欢穿什么就穿什么，你穿什么舒服就穿什么，是很随意的一种文化，只要你舒服舒适就好，当然裸体你想进去肯定会被打出来。
一天吃一顿，和我一样，间接性断食！怪不得身材很紧实没有赘肉！
