    I Am a professional Cleaner Window cleaner in Germany. What your doing is and will be a great help for more efficiency..it will be worth its weight in gold.... what many are doing is having a false floor and sliding draws and then building around on top of that ..

      I thought about doing that but it would have made it to high for a shelf for my hose and extension cord reels

      Quick question bud! Have the exact same van but an 18 about to start laying the wood in side, just curious did you just bolt down the plywood to where the original tie downs are with longer bolts?

    What the name of the 12 volt water pump you used? Not seeing link for it!

    Very nice craftsmanship in a quest for excellence indeed. So my thinking if it was me, I'd definitely use not paint but polyurethane which may help rotting and eventual degradation of your wood surface in that water and liquids will be utilized for detailing. I'm going to subscribe to watch your design evolution! Happy New Year's 😊

    Are you using 2x4 for the framing?

  • @jackkasparian522
    @jackkasparian522 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey, great work! I’m just curious, at 1:37 you’re securing the plywood to what looks like the tie downs. Did you remove the OEM bolts and replace them?

    • @TheDetailingBusiness
      @TheDetailingBusiness  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I did. The factory bolts weren't long enough so I pick some up at the hardware. Cant remember what bolt size but I took the original bolts in and matched them up

    I like your set up i have a question I would do something similar to my mobile detail pick up but just something small like a shelf on top of my water tank what kind of wood did you used

    • @TheDetailingBusiness
      @TheDetailingBusiness  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you. I used 2x3 for framing and about 1/4 inch plywood. I tried to reduce weight as much as possible. I didn’t use treated wood but I painted with bed liner in part 3 to protect the wood

  • @swaveyymike
    @swaveyymike 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    What thickness plywood did you use

    • @TheDetailingBusiness
      @TheDetailingBusiness  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I used 1/4 inch. Worked well and less weight
