I too have a small plant .these flowers are offered to Ayyappa Swami.l like nattu flowers rather than orchids.now a days flowers like arali which is slightly toxic is used in temples which is grown in large extent in our neighboring state.

When ever I get it I make blue tea.Its used for cosmetic purpose also.Powder is available in medical shops.I am from cherpunkal but my brother lives in kanakkary.Lots of love and regards to you.Get well soon
