Hey! Thanks so much! I forgot to mention that in the video haha. There is a laundry room in one of the buildings on the ground floor. There are washers, dryers and irons. When you first move in, you get a laundry card which you use to put money on and pay for the machines. I can't remember the price, but it is a few pounds to wash and dry your clothes!
Hi Tysm for useful content! Currently at home for first year (didn’t get into accommodation) but what wondering how early to apply for halls for second year?
Hi bro...here I have a witty question for u....just for fun....one day, there was a group of scientist(Einstein, newton, abdul kalam,Edison etc...) playing hide and seek...edison start to count down with his eyes closed. It goes like 12345.....10. And newton stand behind Edison and drawn a square around him. Once edison finished counting.he turned back and said that newton OUT.....but newton refused. can u say Why he refused?😉( there is an appropriate reason behind his refusal)
Hi Kenji, applying to GDS this year for accommodation during med 😛, just wondering if you had any info about the laundry situation there? Do they have washers and dryers? If not how did you manage?
Yes I would definitely go for the smaller option to save money that you can use elsewhere! You’ll be spending more time in the library and out and about enjoying London so unless you really think you require more space, I would go for the smaller option which is what the majority of people went for
In the first year and second year did u live with undergrad or postgrad students?? Are there many graduate medics who stay in GDS for the 1st year? And why not move out of halls in the 2nd year?
I lived with undergrads, but most of them had taken a gap year. I wouldn't say there were many postgrads in accomodation, but they're were a good few of us! Most of my friends lived at home so it was easier to just move into halls again
Great video Kenji!, I'm going to miss chilling with you there!
Omg yours is white😍😍 I saw the manky yellow ones on the website,. This is the BEST video for gdsa ever cause the photos don’t show all of it
Hehe thank you!
Your accomodation is bringing back PGL memories
Hahaha I hope they were good memories😂😂
I have my Skype interview for Mphil/PhD in two days for medical bioscience research at Kings . Wish me well.
Love from Kenya.
A fellow Kenyan, amazing!! 😁 All the best and I'll see you in Kenya or King's one day!
And baraka njema!

Thank you so much, I appreciate you! ♥️
Nice video Kenji sir !!!
Thank you!!
My daughter is going to join in medicine at KCL.
We booked GD last week.😊
Amazing video so inspiring thank you so much 😊
You're very welcome! Glad that you liked it 😁
Hi! Great video, really helpful! What about the laundry room? Is there one? How does it work?
Hey! Thanks so much! I forgot to mention that in the video haha. There is a laundry room in one of the buildings on the ground floor. There are washers, dryers and irons. Well needed video 👌💙
I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Hi Tysm for useful content! Currently at home for first year (didn’t get into accommodation) but what wondering how early to apply for halls for second year?
You're very welcome! I think I applied early at the start of the year (Feb/March time). Double check with the website to confirm!
Is that a night lamp on top of your notice board?
How did you manage to stay at GDS for 2nd year? On the KCL website it says it’s only for 1st year undergrads?
They do offer 2nd years as well but only if they have space after prioritising year 1s
@@DoctorKenji ahh makes sense thank you! Did you apply at the usual time in March or did you have to wait and apply at a later date? 😊
it’s wonderful.👍🏻
Thank you! 😁

You wash your clothes in the shower! Only joking, there's washers and dryers haha :P
Kenji Tomita thanks so much! Hope all is well with you and your channel and hopefully see you sometime next year at Kings
just wondering if you ended up going to gds and if you like it?
are the king's residences catered like the inter collegiate halls??
I haven't come across a residences in King's that offer catering!
How big is the music room? and are the pianos next to each other? or is there space? and is it sound proof?
It is a fairly good sized room. The pianos are on opposite sides of the room and there is ample space. I believe it is sound proof
Hey Kenji, do y ou think getting the 10 sq fr and saving that money for activities in London is better than getting the larger 16 sq ft room?
Wondering this too
Yes I would definitely go for the smaller option to save money that you can use elsewhere! You’ll be spending more time in the library and out and about enjoying London so unless you really think you require more space, I would go for the smaller option which is what the majority of people went for
@@DoctorKenji thanks sm, appreciate it!
How is it for sleep in the apartments- are the walls paper thin or not too bad?
In my memory, there was quite a bit of space between the rooms so I didn’t have a problem
Hi~ I was wondering if rooms in Orchard Lisle are similar or are they older than the room shown in this video?
I think they're quite similar!
What made you decide to stay in halls for second year rather than move out with friends?
The majority of my friends are postgraduates like me and live at home with their family, so it was just easier for me to stay in halls!
Do you recommend the large ensuite or the usual one?
The usual to be honest, it's just a little more space!
Which is the closest place where visiting family can stay ? Any recommended Airbnb or any other option nearby ?
Sorry I am not too sure!
Was there any storage place in your shower?
It was definitely too small
how common is it for second years to be in kcl accommodation? i'm going into my second year but i kinda want to stay
Very common! I and a lot of my friends managed to stay on
@@DoctorKenjido you have any tips on how to book gds for second year as well?
Does it has rooms for girls also
How much was it to live there per week ??
It was £204!
How much did it cost per week?
Have a look at the website, the prices have changed
Do you have any info on tower bridge ?
Which accomodation is this?
Urbanest Tower bridge, nearest tube station Tower Hill
What's the music room like?
It just has 2 pianos and that's pretty much it
Great video👍 btw What's the price per annum bruh???
It has changed since i was there so have a look at the website!
How many floors/ levels & how many lifts pls?
8 floors and 1 lift
Is Stamford street relatively the same?
It's quite similar from what I hear!
Did you have dishwashers in the kitchen?
I wish haha!
In the first year and second year did u live with undergrad or postgrad students?? Are there many graduate medics who stay in GDS for the 1st year? And why not move out of halls in the 2nd year?

Kinda a strange q, but are most of the rooms yellow or white?
Most of them are yellow hahaha :)
🥳🥳🥳🥳
I am looking for accommodation for a family with 2 kids..is it possible in Kings London College?
Unfortunately I don't think King's offers accommodation for families also!
Are you allowed to pick you’re own room
Unfortunately not!
Any free car parking for student or their visitor pls?
Unfortunately not. Only to drop your stuff off
@@DoctorKenji Ok, where may a parent or partner park for 1-night if visiting King's student pls?
Does they include meals with the rent?
Unfortunately not!
@@DoctorKenji and do you know how much extra is for the meals?
They don't offer meals unfortunately, you have to cook for yourself :P
5:00 😀😂😂😂😂😂
Look the same as Stamford street one
Yeah very similar!
I wish my son will also get selected to study abroad one day. One of my major concern is place. U solved it.
