    Are all the rooms in Julian Markham like this? Because on the King's College site there are some photos with rooms that have some kind of older furniture, but they are labeled Ensuite, even if they are different from your Ensuite room. I am confused.

    • @UKbiebsfever
      @UKbiebsfever 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      angel lane is nice for the price, however, you gotta consider the 35 minute journey just into London itself as Stratford is the furthest accommodation. Also, the sharing of ensuite is 7-10 people unless you get a studio ofcourse

    Which accommodation do you prefer between Julian Markham and GDS? I stayed in GDS my first year and am contemplating between GDS and Julian Markham for my final year. I will be based at Guy's campus and I know JM is slightly further from Guy's than GDS.

    • @DoctorKenji
      @DoctorKenji  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      JM is better in terms of the room and accommodation but is further from campus but if you can afford it I would go for that! Otherwise if youre on a budget and want to be close to campus I'd say GDS

    Are London unis very social bc I've got offers for medicine (from KCL,UCL and Birmingham so far) and I was wondering what is the social life at London unis compared to other places like Birmingham and Nottingham where they have campus unis? And how is the nightlife as well

    • @DoctorKenji
      @DoctorKenji  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      In my personal opinion, socialising is much easier (and somewhat better) outside of London. Although there is a lot of social life in London here, it's a bit more difficult with non-campus unis and where most people live a bus/train ride away from you whereas outside of London students tend to live together in particular areas. The nightlife is great, but also quite a bit more expensive. Both options are great though, just down to personal preference!

  • @TA-os2ru
    @TA-os2ru 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Hey Kenji, I heard the area around JM isn’t very good and that there’s a silverfish problem? 😭😂 other than that I wouldn’t have thought twice about picking it, i have until the 24th to decide and I’m soo stuck between it, GDS and Angel Lane which i like the most but it’s far from guys campus (med). What would you say?

    • @UKbiebsfever

    Hej Kenji. I am moving into this room in September! Really excited.
    The only question is whether the bed is a double or a single?
    On your video here you show that bed size is 137x189cm, but when i go on the Julian Markham website currently the bed size has moved down to 120x190cm. Do you know if anything has changed? I was a bit annoyed that I couldn't book a viewing to see my room in real life because of COVID, and I know have 3 sets of bedding all as a double as a few months back I read that Julian Markham has double beds??
    Thanks! :)

    Stamford street accommodation looks so much better than the Great Dover street one. The location is better (it seems to be closer to Waterloo campus and there's a library nearby) and the room is much larger. The shower is separated from the toilet area which is such an IMPORTANT part for a girl. But I just got Great Dover accommodation offer and the allocation said I can't change it to Samford Street one. 😞
