First, if you haven't voted. Stop watching this video and go do that. Please prioritize this country and our democracy before anything else. If you have already done that, let's learn to wash and condition our hair properly. Also Sephora's semi annual sale is happening so may as well try a better shampoo & conditioner now... www.sephora.com/brand/jvn/shampoo-conditioner

J, do you think my hard issue with dandruff recently ( dang, 😂s super bad) could be due to bad habits at washing my hair?there is not much, I’m old by the way 😂 but I left it long on the back… I don’t know what to do… God bless you and your family 😇😇😇

Hey, question, what's the difference between the hydration nurture mask and the nurture conditioner?
I love the pre-wash scalp oil (my hair doesn't get as oily when I use it compared to when I forget to use it), the hair serum is GOD to me (my loong fine hair has never had so few split ends ever...my hairdresser said my hair was in top condition and she had no idea about JVN products). The shine oil is great for when I cannot wash my hair but want it visibly looking super cared for - love it. The blowout cream is good but I think I need to use it more aggressively. I was far too minimalist with it but it was great!

It's interesting how many "hair washing tips" videos that I watch as an adult, and I already do most of the things mentioned (just looking to min/max my routine with tips I might not already know), but then I find when I talk to other adult women about how they care for their hair, how many of them do NOT do these things that I would honestly consider common-sense. All of that to say... good content and I do think it fills a niche which is needed by a good deal of people.

Yeah, or how many professionals do things that are No-nos. The last time I had my hair done, the woman washed with really hot water (even after I spoke up), scrubbed with her nails, immediately rinsed out all the conditioner, and then rubbed my hair with the towel to dry it. 😵‍💫 Ordinary folks needing some pointers is understandable, but if it's their job that they trained for, how do they not know?

I adore it when you talk about the behind the scenes of JVN hair because your passion, investment, knowledge and vibrant personality shine through so beautifully 💕 It makes me feel more connected to the brand to know why or what’s been happening for you behind the scenes as an entrepreneur. Your pre-wash shampoo oil remains one of my holy grail products and has been since its first launch in Canada.

I loved the undamage line! I used to use it religiously then couldn’t find it anywhere. I tried the new nurture line, the mask and shampoo are both really good. I liked the scent for summer. I’d like to come back to JVN, I’m trying out fenty hair right now since it’s also silicone free and a repairing line.

    • @jvn
      @jvn  9 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

Sounds like I need to make a video for this! I keep getting asked. But the two major things, make sure you moisturize your hair with clean ingredients as to not dry or coat your hair. A hair mask too. This is so important for the integrity. Also, please please use heat protectant because the hair is already delicate from the color treatment.

Do you recommend emulsifying your shampoo before applying shampoo to the head? I've heard both but I heard that if you emulsify first you're not getting the shampoo right into the scalp and that the emulsifying is what helps cleans your scalp better when you do it after applying bits of shampoo on the crown, in my part, then on the sides and emulsify once it's on my sections of the scalp. Please, I'm so confused about this washing tip!

Hi Jonathan! I’ve missed you so much!!! Your entire line is fantastic. I’ve used Embody, Hydrate, and Undamage. I love all of them. I was kind of skeptical that all of them would work on my hair but you’re 110% correct! If I could only choose one product from the line (that’s extremely unfair 😮) it would be the Pre-Wash Scalp Oil. I loved the first bottle and the fifth bottle. I know it was recently reformulated and it is even better which I didn’t think was possible. Stay fabulous and we will get through the next few years together. ❤

Love this video and love that you’re back! Totally agree with the rebrand on “undamage”. I might suggest using a color palette generator to hone in on a new color. I’ve always viewed your branding as “natural and empowering with a touch of fun” I don’t really think the bottles reflect that so much. They’re a little too “80s power suit”. That said, I know you’re going to take this in the right direction. So excited for your future!

I actually got a delivery of more of it today coz there’s no going back now!! 🙌

Thanks for the updates on the JVN products. I started buying all the JVN products because I loved the scent of the original purple conditioner. But, after the conditioner changed to a floral scent (florals give me migraines), I stopped buying JVN because that product was the most important to me and the change came so quickly after the release of the line that I didn't want to rely on products that would be changing frequently only to have to try to find something new again. Unfortunately, I still haven't found a conditioner I like since then.

💙🖤🧡🤍And can you change the color of the fine hair items? That dark green is reminiscent of 80s decor, second only to taupe. It’s depressing in my shower among all the other colorful soaps and body washes! It’s somber and we know you aren’t somber (sober yes, somber no). We need a fun color! Red? Baby blue? Hell, even all black or all white? 😢

Hi there Jonathon! Love your channel. Do you recommend any one specific or type of filter for the shower head? I have well water and I had a Culligan system installed, and a mineral filter attached to the water coming into the house, which I change monthly. However, my blonde hair is STILL on the orange gold tone. My highlights fade and golden, and my natural darker blonde turns honey. UGH!

Ooo I will def try the water hack with my hair cleanser.
I was the one who left the feedback about the Air Dry Cream. I really did appreciate your team getting back to me with tips that I actually did find a deluxe sample of one and gave it another go. 😊 I was unfair in characterizing it as not having enough moisture for my hair. It did leave it touchably soft and light and bouncy. But since I diffuse my curls each wash perhaps I misremembered it as being drying because the frizz was everywhere for this cream. It did not hold my curl clumps smooth in one place and maybe that’s why my brain may the association with drying when it wasn’t. But yes, it was like day 3 hair on day one all my short hairs were poking out. 🫨
But I am curious about your shampoos and conditioners so I’ll def give those a try in the future!Love that they are aluminum! Better than what I currently use! 😭
