Everybody should get into the habit of wet towels and hand sanitizers. I think I'll try out those pens. I say "sure" to the bullet-journalizing idea if you're totally ok with it. But... if you could consider discussing some day what about managing is so appealing...? I mean, as opposed to remaining technical. I just want to know, if you have an opinion on it. Thanks for sharing your backpack content with us.

Cool backpack contents! Good idea to bring hand sanitizer. I also try to avoid touching my face 🙈. Just curious, can't you use the macbook as a powerbank as to have one less thing to carry? What about the audiobook version for the non technical book. Not only will your backpack be lighter, but you can listen to the book with your eyes closed (thus resting your eyes) and you maybe save the environment by not purchasing a paper book hehe
My god how do you arrange everything in that tiny backpack? 😱 I have a bigger one and neither a Half of your stuffs inside ! Lol
god. youtubers can talk about a simple backpack for 3 minutes and i cant talk about my research project that i've done for a whole freaking year. thats allways intresting.

It takes me around an hour and fifteen minutes to commute to work, I just bring my phone and wallet lol.
I got my High Sierra bag from Costco here in the UK. Paid £30 for it and I can fit absolutely everything in it. Usually things are found cheaper online but in this case High Sierra isn't easily available in the UK and after currency conversion, Costco sold it to me cheaper than the US High Sierra website. I never thought a rucksack would get me so excited!
I love those pens. I am obsessed with the smallest possible millimeter tip possible and I love all Japanese pens! So nice to get so many at Muji here in Berlin!

I just wonder... Is it normal for ppl in USA / Bay Area to commute 1+h one way every day? Finding a flat that is close to my work place was my priority so now I need about 15min to get to work on foot. I live in Poland tho. I can't imagine spending so much time on the commute.
My backpack is rather empty. Most of the time it's an umbrella, a book and I grab some food on my way and that's all. Rarely I take some clothes to change, if it's cold early on and I think it might get quite warm later on.
I like to watch your videos. Can you make something like "What's on my laptop?"

I was looking at my backpack and I thought "Wow, so messy...". When I watch your video, I remembered that I had a lot of pencil cases scattered around my house. Now my backpack is much more organized! A big thanks to you Mayuko!
I'm a really scattered person and that's why in general what's in my backpack are two kinds of things: The ones I forget to take out (like some cookies I found the other day xD) and things I need to use or use very often. In this last category is my inseparable notebook of ideas, which is literally where I write down all the ideas that come to mind (I like to create stories and things like that, and work slowly but surely on making some game one of these days or a book or something like that). Also after many tragic accidents I decided to always carry tissues so there they are (I think). And last but not least, a pencil case (which slowly gets thinner every year and I have to buy a lot of it again), a deodorant, a bottle of water and a flash drive that I always forget is there. That's at least what I always wear, because depending on the day there may also be my orchestral scores, my university notebooks (yei computer studio) and maybe a jacket if I feel that it will be cold. And yes, I think that would be it.
(I use deepl to translate because my english is not that good (vocabulary at least) but i think its fine(? )
I'd love to see a video on bullet journaling - for a co-op placement I worked at a wearables company in the software department and usually used my bullet journal for writing in meetings like stand-ups, community meetings, etc. I haven't seen a lot of videos around that showed spreads/use of bullet journals with a work focus (or even specific to you, engineering) and I think that'd be cool to see if that's what you use it for!

I also carry my water bottle from Stumptown Coffee in Portland, a smaller insulated bottle since I drink a lot of tea through the day, a book (reading The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People), a binder/notebook, and a pencil bag. Ahhh! Bullet journaling! I love it! I started in college and it used to serve only as a place to keep everything in my to-do list straight. Now, it's partially a to-do list, a gratitude journal, doodling space, creative outlet, etc. I'd loveeee to see a bullet journal video

Mayuko! So the link to the backpack says the laptop pocket is 12.5" in length but it can fit a 15" Macbook Laptop. Am I correct? Also! how thick of a laptop can fit in that space?(i know it says 0.75" in the website but it looks like more haha)
