Those first rolls remind me of my 2nd week into gt5, i built a dihatsu copen, hit the curbs a little too hard apparently on autumn ring, and rolled it like 3 times

There is mechanical damage and also damage from the outside but you can turn it off. It doesn't look like a lot of damage but the details are cool tho , like your lights can be cracked , there can be a lot of dents in your car ,....

In Gran Turismo, a funny fail is just an ordinary crash. In other games, the physics completely break, the car gets sucked into a parallel dimension and shoots away at a million miles per hour.
NO DAMAGE/COLLISION PHYSICS is pretty nasty...But it's GT, so, legendary.
There's damage if you turn the damage settings on.
0:52 35 seconds penalty is TOO WILD.

Lucky you lol. Ive had my cars turn into airplanes for no reason and do 360s while doing front or back flips.
Like physics wise the game is pretty bad, like worse than nfs pro steeet I think. Its fun but yeah definitely not great physics.
I've played all of the gt series. I just flipped a car. Wasn't even a fast car or hard to control but just the right grip on the one tire?!? I was like "Woohoo!!..Woo-hoo!!!.... " after thought was "Well that's done with so the rest is progress in the right direction!"

I used to be a MASSIVE GT fan, but after seeing how monumentally bad GT7 is with 'realism', it's just become a HUGE joke with plenty of comedy value.
Have you played it or just watched these videos that don't have the damage settings turned on?
I bumped a car and had to pit for a wheel realignment for example, annoying as, huge pit stop to sort that out.

good attempt but hard to watch with all those unnecesery sound and visual effects. You have a button called "sound equaliser" if you're using something decent for editing. I don't know why you think the static transition needs to be used in all contexcts. Even if you do don't make it longer than 60-80ms, it's just painful and cringy.
