FODMAP was very helpful. Then moved onto Keto and things were even better. Lifetime of medication eliminated.

Eliminating kale salads w/cukes, tomatoes, nuts, & seeds, and most all veggies, completely eliminated a lifetime of bloating, gas, & constipation -- as a result of being open minded with a "What do I have to lose?". Switched to nose-to-tail ancestral eating w/ modest butter & heavy cream in my coffee, and was set free from my sugar/carb bondage....dropped from size 12 to size 8 w/normal walking, gardening, & chores.
Have heightened sense of smell & taste; no bloat/gas; pearly white teeth (remineralization occurs w/eating carnivore grass-fed meats/organs, bcuz cells pull calcium from bloodstream and put it back into my (vegetarian-weakened) teeth & bones, despite 30 years of calcium supplements).
    Peace & health to all.💜🙏🙂
God bless you Dr. C, for sharing your own stories about carb addiction and making helpful, educational content.

@ Melissa M. fantastic. Are you pure carnivore? I have been living a Keto lifestyle for several years. Though, for the last 2 1/2 months, I have been strictly carnivore. I wanted to try it. I miss my homemade fermented sauerkraut and homemade fermented pickles, I must admit. I am curious whether you are pure carnivore or if you add veggies into your daily or every other day meals? I do IF and also I fast on/off for several days. Doing 5 days of simply water fasting as I type. I am on Day 4 today. Appreciate your response. By the way, I used to be a vegetarian and later a vegan for several years. Never would I do that again. Have a healthy New Year.

Saturated fat and salt was what the Dr.’s told my husband not to eat. Being that I control the food in the house (I do all the cooking and shopping) he gets more. His numbers were great at his dr visits this past month. They were so happy with his weight loss too. Wish we could break through big pharma and the food companies grip on the country.

The classic medicine is not a conspiracy about big pharma. But rather some misconceptions from the 60s and 70s about saturated fats and cholesterol which still, unfortunately still are tought in classical medicine I'm afraid. But I hope that better nutritional advices will be given as time goes on, but it takes many decades to change such things.

I've been an IBS sufferer since the age of two years old (I'm now 68), but had no idea what exacerbated it until just one year ago. Went to the keto way of living, but things actually got much worse, and I was nearly a prisoner in my own home, unable to leave because of needing to be near a bathroom all the time. I listened to you, and to one video Dr. Berg did at about the same time (about six weeks ago, but I also had COVID right at Thanksgiving, so am not sure of when I saw/heard them), about changing to a completely carnivore diet for 30 to 90 days to see if that might help the issues. It's made all the difference in the world for me; while I love most vegetables, especially the cruciferous ones, there's just no way my body can process them without hideously painful, terribly debilitating effects. I really do miss the allium vegetables, too, but not being in pain all the time, and being able to go outside my home for several hours at a time is so freeing, if carnivore is the way I have to eat for the rest of my life, then so be it, I'll do it.

i developed UC after years of NSAIDs to manage chronic pain from Hypermobility type Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. When I was no longer able to use NSAIDs, my opioid use increased exponentially. My Auto Immune doc wanted to put me on Humira and methotrexate when my UC turned into Enteropathic Arthrits. Thankfully she gave me 2 months to try dietary changes. Going paleo got rid of my visible inflammation from the EA within 1 week. I was a believer. When I then went paleo-keto, I got rid of my fibromyalgia flares and then finally was able to get off of opioids. That's when I went dairy free keto carnivore b/c the sugars from low sugar/starch veges were still triggering opioid cravings. My UC flares are mostly triggered by emotional trauma and I am in remission most of the time without medications. When I do have a flare, the carnivore way of eating completely changes what the symptoms are. After hearing your video on how prebiotics are not necessary for carnivores, I stopped my prebiotic and feel significantly better WRT bloating and bowel movement consistency. Your channel is amazing. Please keep putting out the valuable content you do.

I just turned 58 in December. And just now I was diagnosed with diverticulitis. Due to the pain in my left side lower abdomen. Had few test done. So the finally diagnosed was diverticulitis. I was doing Ketovore since May 2023. Lost 30lbs and feeling great. Then. In November had my blood drawn. Shows very high cholesterol levels. And my doctor prescribed rosuvastatin and ezetimibe. Took it for a week, did not like the way I feel. So I decided to stop taking them. Plus. Dementia and Alz are in my family genes. So after my appointment with my November meeting with doctor. Just made me more depressed and adding more fiber and veggies to my diet to avoid high cholesterol. Then December came I ate crap for the whole month of December. Now. Actually yesterday had an emergency issue with my lower left side pain. Turns out to be diverticulitis. As for the food choices to heal. It far from keto or ketovore diet. They tell me to eat mashed potatoes, soft foods, banana. Applesauce, rice and stay away from fatty meat and only eat lean meat. Have to be soft. I am so unhappy and so frustrated with what to do. Now I am having fear of consuming foods. Wondering if anyone else has this problem and what to do about it. Please help!!!

That’s almost exactly my scenario. I’m in bed suffering with a bout of diverticulitis right now. I’m going carnivore when I feel better. At the moment I’ve been fasting for 46 hours. Just drinking water. My first flare up I got whilst having covid 4 years ago. (Although I didn’t know I had diverticulitis. I just told my husband if I feel like this tomorrow, take me to the hospital). It went away on its own. My second flare up, well it occurs to me that eating all the vegetables from my very productive allotment might have had something to do with it. It took me to A&E where I was diagnosed by ultrasound. I spent 4 days on a drip. Lots of antibiotics. Lost a stone. Drs told me NO FIBRE. Especially nothing cruciferous. Then they started me on toast and apple purée! Told me to eat a “white” diet. Mashed potatoes, rice, plain pasta, more puréed fruit. I went with it. But I was terrified really and confused because I knew deep down that those foods weren’t good for me. Healed nicely. Or so I thought. This third flare up came while I had covid. Again! I don’t suffer from constipation, I eat a nice Mediterranean diet. I don’t drink to excess. I have one black coffee a day and I drink about 1.5 to 2 litres of water a day. I’m really fed up. Mind you, as my husband is a vegetarian I rarely eat meat any more. He thrives, while I don’t. So, I’ve decided, it’s carnivore for me from now on. I can’t go through this again!

I, too, am getting over a flare. Officially diagnosed about 1.5 weeks ago.
I don't know what to do either. I've been eating "light and white" and taking augmentin. They first tried me on flagyl and bactrim. I had a horrible time with them. Terrible terrible meds. I don't ever want this again.
I think I have had these flares before but never realized what they were.
Today I have only drank "Pure protein" drinks, ate 3 eggs sunny side up, a mix of Sauer kraft and kimchi, keifer, water, salt, butter and diet dr peppers. I'm going to be working to stop the ddp.
Here's to hoping strict carnivore and more fat does it! Keep me updated everyone. I can't find info either for carnivore and DV.

The only thing that has worked for me is when I went mainly carnivore. No flare ups or IBS bouts in ages now...I used to be in so much discomfort daily and now I even forget I have these issues! For me I cannot have anything with vegetable oil as an ingredient or cooked in vegetable oil. No beef, no chicken, pork only if it is smoked. No processed foods which means they have preservatives. Most recently I have determined that oatmeal is a no go. I live on turkey and wild meat. Fresh or frozen vegetables and dairy. I am down fifteen pounds on a lean frame. My energy level has returned to something like it was twenty-five years ago. Thirty years of IBS is gone. No more diarrhea. No more gas. No more pain. God bless everyone.

Are you using pure stevia powder or a blend? The stevia powder (I use pyure) comes in a salt shaker sized canister with a tiny little scoop. Otherwise it's a mix and has typically has erythritol in it.
I've never seen monkfruit sweetners that aren't a blend with some kind of sugar alcohol.
If you're using a blend try switching to the pure extract. I find 1-1.5 scoop mixed in with my coffee and heavy cream is just about perfect. I like a scoop in my Fage 5% yogurt too.
      Good luck!

Ok so what’s the argument for sauerkraut & colon health, as it’s already fermented, has the highest concentration of Vit C, while also being considered a super food. I would have thought it heals vs aggravate IBS, diverticulitis et al

Hello, doc. I wish you could consider the possibility that you are wrong on two topics. Obesity is caused by calorie restriction. Diabetes is caused by seed oils. What does sugar cause? I haven't figured that out yet. 3:01
Sugar does seem to cause inflammation. It feeds cancer. And makes it difficult to lose weight. Sugar has no nutritional value and takes the place of animal fat. But what does sugar actually cause? Does it cause arthritis? Sugar must deplete the immune system. Is it possible sugar causes infectious disease? Back when infectious disease was out of control, people were eating a lot of bread. Maybe it's carbs in general.
The other one is glyphosate. Roundup must be causing some sort of health problems. It and gates-oil do seem to have a synergistic effect. We know the gates-oil is likely the cause of type one diabetes. Glyphosate destroys the microbione. And causes protein errors.
Gorillas are not herbavores. They can't live on plants alone. Even if they could there is no reason to believe that humans ever had a colon the size of a gorilla. Even if we did our brains would still be too big to be fueled by plants alone. But our colon must be able to process at least some plant material.

I was doing well on the carnivore diet until I got bored and decided to add wheat products and was enjoying
dutch bros coffee sugar free which is Sucralose and a salad of raw bell peppers, cherry tomatoes, and cheese
with a squeeze of lemon. Outcome is an acute diverticulitis. I have been released from 5 days in the hospital and am
still on heavy antibiotics. Am going back to carnivore with coffee with pure monk fruit. Today had my first
ground chicken patty mixed with an egg - slathered with sour cream it was actually pretty good.

I eat only animal foods and dark chocolate, bloating and constipation have gone away.

Good day, can give your thoughts! I have no pain or discomfort or bloat. I poop 3 times a day, but 1 of 3 will ususally be looser. Other 2 perfectly fine…. Is something bad?

It’s actually insane how many humans have some sort of health condition . It’s going up yearly too . I think it would all go away with the elimination of sugar and lowering carbs significantly

Could Roundup in everyone's systems cause this? Since many people have it.

Oh geez. I've been a vegetarian my whole life. Meat looks so gross to me but maybe I'll try it if it will help my IBS.

@@Susie-se4mv I've been mostly carnivore since August. It's been great!! Has helped my digestion sooo much! There have been many additional benefits as well (sugar cravings gone, lost weight, better circulation, smoother skin, more energy, etc). Wish I knew about carnivore years ago.

I’ve been a vegetarian almost vegan for 20 years and the thought of eating animals breaks my heart but after being diagnosed with chronic ibs I am desperate, the pain is unbearable, life has gotten so depressing. But I am desperate and considering eating animals just to see if it will actually fix my problem. Are you still on a carnivore diet and is it working for you still?

    • @frogsofindia
      @frogsofindia 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@yalitorres7513 I consider myself animal based right now. I do meat, fish, eggs, and dairy (raw milk, yogurt, kefir, cheese). Just doing meat got boring and frustrating for me, especially when eating out or going over to friends' houses. I will sometimes indulge in other foods, like adding pickles and ketchup to my burger or doing roast chicken with onions and garlic. I'm experimenting with how much I can get away with. I've noticed if I eat during daylight hours my digestion is much better. I try to avoid eating after sunset. I wake up with the sunrise now and go outside barefoot and get red light through my eyes. I use blue light blocking glasses at night and at stores with lots of florescent lighting. I turn most of my lights off at night. I've recently learned a lot from Jack Kruse about how your light environment affects your health and especially your gut! For some people, fixing their light environment fixes their health issues, and then diet doesn't need to be so rigid anymore. The body becomes healthy enough to eat more variety. Sara Kleiner Wellness is also a great resource. She tried carnivore for 2 years, and while it helped, it didn't help with her thyroid and hormones. So she started incorporating fruit and some veggies, which helped a lot, as well as drinking low deuterium water and optimizing her light environment.
