Man, it was SO hard to keep my expectations under control knowing leading up to this movie's release. knowing there was any chance of having the old spideys back was too cool to just ignore. i absolutely LOVED this entire movie!
As someone who grew up with Tobey, this movie really made me an Andrew fan. During 2012, i wasnt ready for another Spidey & we also got the 1st avengers film. And 2014, i wasnt a huge fan of TASM2, and it was also the same year winter soldier & guardians of the galaxy vol 1. Andrew had a lot to live up to and the mcu had since been established. Doesnt help hes literally the middle child of Spider-men. I love Tom, he was like the baby brother (of Spider-men) who couldn't do wrong or I'd overlook it.
I just could never get into the first TASM movie. It just felt drawn out, unnecessary, and even a bit mean spirited at times. However, I never had anything against Andrew as Peter Parker and it was really great to see him back
@@officialmonarchmusic it took me awhile to get into the 1st TASM, I preferred it over the 2nd one. Which is a shame, Jamie Foxx as Electro was so cool. Spidey using his spidey sense and 1 web shooter to protect the civilians at time square is still 1 of my favourite spider-man scenes
"Wait why are you running" My guy was just an extra, and had better spidey senses than spiderman; I'll always love that random guy running on the bridge before anything even remotely happened. 😂
It's plays really good that the 2 teachers that were the chaperones on the trip like Peter. They experienced everything first hand and it shows they aren't buying into the evil Spiderman thing from Mysterio. It makes sense that they are greatful to him and do the wall of fame case for him
This was an excellent movie. Aunt May's dialogue in No Way Home is a verbatim excerpt from the original Spider-Man origin tale found in Amazing Fantasy #15. With great power, there must also come great responsibility. I thoroughly enjoyed this film's dynamic with Peter 1, Peter 2, and Peter 3. Incorporating Spider-Man themes in No Way Home is truly ingenious, paying tribute to the franchise's history and creating an exceptional musical journey. It was great to see the villains from previous Spider-Man films. The performances in Spider-Man: No Way Home were outstanding. Tom Holland's evolution as Peter Parker/Spider-Man has been remarkable. It was also significant to Matt Murdock/Daredevil in this film.
In the scene in Peter's apartment at the end, there's a GED book. With all memory of him being erased, there's no record of him even graduating high school, so he'd need to get that certification instead.
Fun fact: the scene where Andrew Garfield saves MJ is in homage to the scene where he can't save Gwen Stacy, that's what he's crying about. The music playing during the scene is even the same music in the scene in TAS.
I love your reactions. You have the perfect radiant appearance, emotional facial expressions, free-flowing clever commentary, and the most idiosyncratically pleasing voice I've ever heard. I'm not trying to be weird or creepy, I just want to commend your style and expressive ability. I hope you expand your reactions to more films. Please do some tear-jerkers, war movies, comedies, and thrillers.
15:40 Detail I know you never noticed: Look at Norman's teeth. When he's "Norman" his teeth look normal. But when the Green Goblin persona is in control, his teeth are jagged and crooked. 17:20 So... a little explanation about the "Spider Sense." Mostly, it is explained as being simply precognition/foresight, or just extremely fast reaction time (like a spider has). But it's not. It's *much* more than that. Simply put, the Spider Sense is actually cosmic/supernatural in nature. It basically looks at every possible outcome (like Dr. Strange's time magic when he had the Time Stone) and automatically does whatever results in him not getting hit/hurt/etc. 33:06 He's definitely holding back less, but this is FAR, FAR from Spider-Man's actual strength. If he punched with 100%, he could one-shot characters like Hulk and Thor effortlessly.
This is still one of my favourite Spider-Man movies out of the whole MCU Spider-Man trilogy up to this day. And Tobey Maguire would always and forever be the OG Spider-Man. And Emme, if you’re interested in reacting to more Spider-Man movies, I can recommend the Sam Raimi trilogy first since it stars Tobey Maguire before the Marc Webb series starring Andrew Garfield.
Thanks for sharing, got to see some of the extended scenes. All Peters have some trauma, that's what make them Spider-Man. That look o your face when he said "math", priceless!
And now Tom hollands Spider-Man is all alone. Lost tony, aunt may, his friends, his gf, happy, the avengers, everyone who knew him doesn’t know he exist now and is now all alone with no one to be with. “Peter Parker is no more but Spider-Man lives on” was the ending of the script for this movie but his story as Spider-Man will continue in the next trilogy which I cannot wait for!
Good girl! ^^D (for doing the extended version) There were multiple deleted scenes such as: Peter climbing the wall in the gym, the whole scene of Pete getting paint thrown on his suit, Happy and Matt talking to the law people, a lift scene where they all go to Happy's flat and The one I didn't know is that clip at the end where it shows what happened to Peter in videos etc.
Let's goooooooooooo. Really fun to see your reaction to Daredevil since you weren'r aware of him during the first time you watched the movie. I had a great time with this one! Also, I gotta say, 17:46 that was a very compelling argument, Emme. I do agree with you there.
Cheers Emme, great reaction. Would recommend Venom 1&2, end-credit in 2 ties to this spider-mans endcredit yes.. Third installment is coming up this fall.
@emmereacts, 11:55 If you haven't watched Across the Spiderverse yet, now would be a good time to watch it or re-watch it; Across the Spiderverse ties into what's happening here--Universe 616 Peter Parker (this one) is the reason why Miles, Gwen and the others were encountering variant versions of their own enemies. 28:19 That's what makes them variants =) Across the Spider-Verse and the Loki series do a pretty good job of explaining variants--they don't always look the same; have the exact same powers/story; and in some cases, they aren't even the same person (The Spiderverse movies focus on Miles, sure, but it tells that story with the help up numerous Spider-Man variants--Spider-Man isn't always Peter Parker and Spider-Man isn't always a man; Miles, Gwen, Miguel, Hobby, Penni, Pavitr...are all Spider-Man variants). 28:31 ABOUT THAT! Peter's best friend has always tried to kill him. Universe 616 Peter Parker doesn't have a Harry Osborn (Green Goblin's son), but it does have Ned Leeds, and while this Ned is very different from the one in the comics, his endgame may likely be the same. I wonder how they'll tie his magic abilities into his story going forward. 31:48 So you have seen the Spider-Verse stories =) 34:00 Yup. Everyone across the Multiverse. This would help what's going on in the Spider-Verse, stopping all of the variant villains from crossing over to alternate universes looking for Spider-Man.
Emme, cool thing to know. When people physical body was still having spidey reflects is because Peter’s senses are a bit magic. They explain it more in the comic
I loved this movie the entrance of each Spider-Man the way they all had there own Arc it was heartbreaking this ending Peter having to give up everybody knowing him I really wonder to how they are going to continue his story will there be a Ned and MJ I hope so .
I thoroughly enjoyed this movie and as for the ending...well, they've basically got the character back to where the Tobey Maguire movies begin. A full reset
One of the things I think failed to impress me in the MCU universe was the Spider-man movies with Tom Holland. If you remove the super hero aspect from the movie, it's more like a young man who mess everything up on his own and clears up the mess he made in the end. Aunt May is another dissapointment, it felt half-hearted when she said the epic line in this movie. Furthermore she was made into a milf in the MCU, even the deli guy wanted her.
Aren't things better with context? 🕷 Many thanks, Emme. I hope your watching these will inspire others to put in the time and effort. The emotional rewards enrich the heart.
Argh @emme I had the perfect line to throw at you 10:42 from the movie Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story (2004) but you have not seen it yet, and I don't do spoilers if I can help it.
I remember trying so hard to defend Andrew’s name but people kept clowning bro😭 and toms spider man didn’t make it better. Then this movie dropped and everyone started to appreciate him! Better late than never tho!
Emme, you should watch most of all the other Marvel movies too outside of the MCU. If not for the X-Men movies, then there wouldn't be mcu. If the Blade movie wasn't made, then Marvel would've died at the end of the 90's. Kevin Feige was the producer on early xmen movies and other marvel movies like fantastic four and sam raimi's spidey movies, and because of his work there he became the president of mcu (main producer, he was the one who brought in robert downey jr as ironman etc). Plus you missed a lot of cameos in mcu (wandavision's pietro, doctor strange: multiverse of madness's illuminati members) and you will miss a LOT of cameos if you dont watch them, this saga of marvel is about the multiverse, movies like deadpool 3 is connected to the mcu and the xmen universe too, and avengers: secret wars as well, once it will come out, whenever it'll come out with the delays, etc etc.
So Vernon in the comics is heavily tied into Spiderman unfortunately the movies just ignore all that Although to be honest my favorite version of venom is when flash becomes agent venom and goes into space with the guardian of the galaxy Most the time it's Eddie Brock or currently his son in the comics who is venom But I would love to see them make a agent venom movie one day ... although it hard to see the flash from the tom Holland movies in that role but who knows...
The end leaves Tom Holland's Spider-Man the closest he ever was to being in the comics, just a broke guy trying to do the right thing, with no real attachments (though I hope that changes)
Flint didn’t need to be cured and his character makes no sense, Max felt like a nobody and his life sucked and finally had some power only to lose it when he returns he will be a powerless again, but the dumbest thing is Otto in theory still dies when he returns he still has to drown the reactor, maybe Norman lives but will have to serve prison time for all the lives he took even though the evil Norman is now gone who was in control commuting those crimes, Sandman who wanted to see his daughter won’t have his abilities to evade police to try and help his daughter and Max will go back to being powerless with a mother who does care about him getting arrested where what he needs is mental help although in this movie they make him sane
