not sure if anyone has brought this to your attention yet, but there is two Pokemon games based off the second gen, first is Pokeman 3D where you run around in first, or third person and it looks a lot like minecraft, And the other is Pokeman super Eevee Edition that was made in one of the RPG makers and it has an great story line.
Those ending parts are really funny. I probably laughed more during that than I did the entire day. Like in total. If I took the amount of laughter I produced throughout the whole day, it'd be less than what I did while watching that part. You could get a Mew in gen 1 right before the second gym, so it doesn't take that long.
