Amen! And the thing is whether you do something bad or you do something righteous your kids are going to look up to you so you got to be careful about how you represent yourself in front of your kids!
I knew that was important when I was younger but I didn't know how much and I have my first kid at 16 and now he's in his thirties and he's doing really good my daughter the youngest is doing really good my middle son is going back to college he quit for a while and now he's trying to get his s*** together again.
Which I never suspected with him his brother my oldest son seen more of my illegal hustling life before I started my construction and real estate businesses.
Now my oldest son seem all the b******* I've been through but he also got to see me come up from nothing to having a million and tons of properties.
That's one thing I did intentionally do I made sure that I had all my kids by my wife my kids got to grow up under a two parent household which I never did my brother doesn't understand what it's like to not have that my mom and my step dad have been together for 40 years now my brother has had a father there in the house since the beginning I may not have liked him right away because when you're 10 years old and you've been the only man in the house for years it's hard to open up to a new man in your mother's life she dated man but she never brought them home around me.
But when she first brought him around we bumped heads like a mother f***** that's why It's hard dating women with young teenage sons especially if they have fathers that have been in their lives and even when they don't because they've got the expectation that you ain't going to be around long anyways.
That's why it's important that women who have kids don't just bring every dude around there children because you feel like they should have a man figure of their lives.
I'm telling you it's much better if you have no male role model figure in their lives then to have every Tom Dick and Harry in and out of their lives it's better that you have their uncles or cousins then to have men in and out of their lives that your not sure about.
Me and my wife ended up getting divorced later on and my kids lives and we were holding it together longer than we probably should have been. But my wife was hoping that I would get my s*** together and stop f****** everything that moved.
But when she met me that's how I was so I didn't understand why all of a sudden she had a problem with it.
Now that I'm older and single I find myself more willing to date women with kids when before I always said I'd never do it bcuz I didn't have anything to offer in a situation like that or so I thought.
Now I know I have something to offer in a situation like that.

Start by investing time with your children. Turn off the television and read with them. Teach them. Make reading an enjoyable experience. Start reading to them the moment they are born and be consistent. Teach them letters, numbers, science, morals and values, etc. Stop teaching them that you gotta have Hennessy, blunts and the latest Jordan’s. It starts in the home as soon as they’re born.

"Stop pointing the finger mentality" That Master P is talking about is the HARDEST conversation to have within the community with most individuals smh. I try to have these conversations with associates and "friends" and it always leads back to someone else. We have to work and fix our problems within. It's some simple steps we can make to change how we deal with each other, support each other, work with each other etc Ego and pride kills alot of dreams. Everybody wants to be the boss or a boss and be in the spot light, but there are behind the scenes opportunities that can make you rich as well. Self accountability, is major. Its alot easier to point the finger at others for everything that's wrong, but on the daily most times it's your own that's doing you wrong or don't want to see you succeed, even if yall could succeed together. A million and 10 excuses will be made not to come together in some capacity and at least respect each other and value each person lives to begin with. Other races have there own problems as well, nobody race is perfect but im speaking about us 1st. If we start a business, your own ppl won't support either till its popping and successful, but when you need them through the grind a million excuses will be made. It's alot of smart ppl in hood that don't get opportunities and there are alot of ppl who have opportunities that don't see value in it because they cant get rich over night. It's noway to bypass the grind. Unfortunately, alot of ppl dont want to put any work in, even when the situation is laid out for them.

I LOVE hearing straight gems, rubies, diamonds and pearls being dropped in any Southern accent, but especially New Orleans.
“How” somebody sounds has been falsely taught to us on how intellectual or educated someone is and Mr. Miller shatters all that pretense.
85% of communication is non-verbal and I felt EVERY word.

I gotta send big thanks to P and Dash. Took gems they dropped over the years and self-published, illustrated, designed and wrote my own children’s book that teaches children the importance of creativity. First in my family to own a business. It hits different when you ask your 6 year old nephew what he wants for their birthday and they say “your book uncle”.

I respect Master P!! A lot of rappers and celebrities won’t say what he say unapologetically. He is a strong positive man . That’s y they don’t give him any recognition. Let’s keep it a stack. Hollywood is not about uplifting, accountability, integrity or being humble. People don’t like the truth these days. What he said about Daunte Wright is true but notice the crew tried to blame the police or system. Even tho the police was wrong he shouldn’t have ran. If parents talk to their children & teach & train them you don’t have to fear no man or the police.
