The song is one of my favourite two chord songs ever written. It’s a lot harder to write one than you may think. Huey Smith wrote the song and originally recorded it. This version is based on the popular Johnny Rivers version which featured the talented Larry Knetchel on Piano.

This was a favorite of my father who passed a few years ago. He wasn't much of a musician and I'm grateful for him bringing me up on rock and roll. This Johnny Rivers version is something I wanted to be able to learn and play for him while he was still here. Your tutorial has inspired me to learn it now even though he's gone. Thanks for your approachable teaching technique.
