  • I took a test ride on Suzuki's new Crossover/tall-rounder back in April and in the video you'll find out what I think about it! Huge thanks to Frasers Motorcycles of Gloucester for letting me out on their demo machine 😊

It’s the OEM tyres I have the GT and they aren’t the best especially on the white lines and in the wet. The GT is absolutely solid in the corners.

Thanks for your comment, that's interesting what you say about the OEM tyres... it's a good point - OEM tyres are rarely the best quality. However I have seen some GT owners who have fitted steering dampers to their bikes.

I love how all the tests on YT about this bike is some guy riding a 40mph on a straight and pretending to draw conclusions about how it handles lmao

Good review Rikky 👍. Considered one of these briefly when looking for a replacement for my S1000xr recently but in the end decided on a new XR. Guess it’s early days for the GX so probably needs a bit of refining by Suzuki to improve it in a few areas. Have to say when I test rode the first XR back in 2016 I hated it but the 2024 is very much a more polished product…..

I am tempted in a used 2023 XR myself, but that won't be the latest version so I did need to get back on one again first just to remind myself what it's like!

Mine was a 2022 which was still very good but the new one has been subtly improved all round. I know you have fun and games with windscreens so that maybe an issue for you on the XR but I replaced the high screen that mine came with for the sport screen which I always prefer. Clean air and no buffeting……

Nice one Rikky a very good honest review I like the look of this one from Suzuki some very interesting comments from yourself on this good to hear . This one would be to tall for me and at £15,000 or so pounds maybe a bit rich to and probably a bit on the heavy side but she does look nice for a semi adventure styley . 👌👍

I am worried that this might be the last Suzuki I'll be allowed to test lol, but I'm here to say my honest opinions! Suzuki nearly hit the bullseye with this one 😊 You are getting a lot for your money compared to some of its competition 👍👍

Interesting value proposition here, I have the Kawasaki 1000sx (21’) and I’m just not compelled to step up given the price vs benefits comparison. Suspension is better but not much after that… maybe I’m getting old?

Interesting review & bike. Not sure what to make of it tbh. It seems an odd combination of rawness & refinement. There's so many different suspension settings I would imagine you could probably dial pretty much anything in or out. Although, you could spend days trying to figure out the right settings. It seems one of those bikes you need to spend quite a bit of time with to figure out.

I guess it's an opportunity to introduce new technologies as well as expand the model range without creating a whole new chassis and engine. I remember reading stories of GSX-R1100 owners getting their suspension settings into a right state back in the day, since there was so much adjustment lol

@@RikkyTang Yes, as far back as the GSXR1100 Suzuki owners were getting confused with their suspension. At least they're consistent lol.

What happened to the BMW r1250r.

Crashed it I'm afraid, it was considered an uneconomical repair and so was written off.

    That's a shame. 😢
