🇫🇮 👍 Winter War gave the Finns & the world a sniper legend. Simo Häyhä, often referred to by his nickname "The White Death", was a Finnish military sniper in World War II during the 1939-1940 Winter War against the Soviet Union. He used a Finnish-produced M/28-30 (a variant of the Mosin-Nagant rifle) and a Suomi KP/-31 submachine gun. He is believed to have killed over 500 men during the Winter War, the highest number of sniper kills in any major war so far.
He was talking about Jaloviina as his molotov cocktail bottle. Jaloviina is Finnish cut brandy which they started to produce in 1932 after the prohibition. It is still made and its often had as a shot or mixed with something.

But on the contrary, it united the nation together as front against invaders. Our great grand- and grandfathers set the disagreements on hold, until the invasion would be over.
