Oh yay, thanks. The very last scene of the video were a row of hydrangeas and I was just going to leave a question asking the name of those hydrangeas. Lo and behold was your post. Beautiful!! This is totally one of my favorite tours, your guide was totally great
Oh, and the pachysandra is great. It's perfect for dry shade and never loses its glossy green unless kept in the sun. I bet your parents would know it. It's not as popular these days but I love it. Its a very elegant ground cover in the shade garden.
you probably dont give a shit but does anyone know a method to log back into an instagram account?? I was dumb forgot the password. I love any tricks you can give me
Watching your videos, especially garden tour videos, are the absolute highlight of my day! Seeing such beauty and life first thing in the morning makes my day so much brighter. Thank you for sharing, Laura and Aaron!
Everyone needs to come to Michigan and see our beautiful gardens, so glad you were able to share them with the world. Thanks for coming and please visit again!
What can I say, except I'm a Michigander and Mackinac Island is a wonderful place to visit and stay overnight. Riding your bike or carriage tours or driving a horse drawn carriage around is so much fun. The Fort, the Arch Rock, the view, the ferry ride, salt water taffy, island fudge, and oh so much more. Who wouldn't love being on an island with water all round you. Touring the island to see all the historic homes and beautiful gardens is so awesome to see and enjoy. There is nothing like Mackinac Island. Now I have to watch the rest of your videos on your island visit.
Rats, now I have to go to this island! I LOVE this channel, your content, editing and charming personality combined with seemingly endless energy and enthusiasm are SO MUCH FUN TO WATCH!
Thank you for the tour. Mackinac Island is the home of my ancestors. I have just built a home in Boyne City and we are ready to plant our garden inspired by these island gardens!
Two more gardens that are gorgeous. That rose bush must be gorgeous in bloom and those hydrangeas in all the gardens make me want to move to the island.
One of the owners actually met us outside and let us walk through their cottage. It was amazing inside! Wish I could have filmed a house tour because it was so beautiful!
Andrea Monique I was curious about the houses on the island so I went to some real estate sites and looked at them and the prices. I was very surprised to see how many of them are actually condos, and often shared ownership. Plus the prices were surprisingly low, which is of course is likely also a factor of the limited season (Mackinaw Island is just South of the Canadian border.)
I think I may just have to go there, maybe in a couple years as a retirement gift to myself! Thanks for sharing Laura and Aaron - these gardens are so incredibly beautiful and inspiring.
Thanks you guys for sharing that amazing place. Magical with some whimsical thrown in here and there. Have a safe trip home. I'm sure Dexter has missed y'all. 😍🌺🐈😍
I love how the gardener doesn’t own the landscaping company but work FOR Jack’s team and she still holds respect for original pieces and loves the different plant mixes as if they were her own! You can tell she is a right fit for this team, as she is so in love with her work!
LOVE the Garden Tours on Mackinac Island!!!! Look forward to them!!!! Thank You!!!!! 🌸 I have fond memories of visiting the island; the first time I was there was when I was 6!!! I am 60 now, but have great memories from many moons ago now that I live in Texas!!!
How do you two keep topping yourselves??? This was such a beautiful treat. I'll rewatch over and over. And, yes, I can't wait to visit Mackinaw! Thank you so much for sharing the beauty!!!
So basically this part of the world is still pollution free that's why there is so much beauty is remain so much colour n positivity in the atmosphere n thank Laura for showing us such beauty
I almost didn't watch this one because I tend to watch the videos done from your home, but I'm so glad I did! I really enjoyed this. It's packed full with ideas that people could incorporate into their home gardens and I had never even heard of this place! It looks like such a charming little town, great for taking in the view and relaxing. Both of you did a great job with the tour! Thanks
Question! How's does one get a job, such as Gobbie, and is it seasonal or do they live in the area...if so, is it on the property or off? Wouldn't that be an awesome place to work, I think. Just curious....try for any knowledge you may have in that. (I know several horticulturalists/landscapers who'd love to know this info. TY!! 🙋💕
That front porch was amazing! The evergreen lacy look is just beautiful and the rocks - WOW. I'm beginning to really want to see your addition of rocks to the landscape makeover. Those giants tucks so serenely into the flower beds were wonderful. Can't wait to see the August 2019 rock garden landscape now. You go girl - however many you need.
Awwww thank you for finding me my dream property!! Love every area so perfect! beautiful!! Favorite garden tour ever! 😻 Congrats on the presentation! 👏🏼
I just got to know about your channel lately and I LOVE this channel, your content, editing and charming personality wow the feeling is like I have fallen in love again!
Love all the tours you present at Mackinac Island. Bucket list to go visit there someday soon. It just looks so wonderful and peaceful to stroll around all those fabulous gardens. Thank you so much for taking the time to film for us. You guys are the best 🥰. Happy Planting 💜🌺🌸
Those were my favourite gardens on the island! Thank you so much for sharing your time with us and letting us explore the gardens with you- what a treat!
Rewatching these tours for more garden inspiration for 2021 since it will be awhile when I will be able to visit due to pandemic border closing ! 😷❤️🇨🇦
What a magical place and what lovely, lovely gardens. The woodland gardens have given me inspiration as I have so many hoop pine (Araucaria cunninghamii, we're in Australia) trees on my property and had no idea what to do with them in a garden setting. Lovely.
What a beautiful place , loved all the tours of the gardens. Everything there looked amazing and the view of the water seemed spectacular, I can only imagine in real life it must have been. Thanks for sharing. Happy gardening!
Yey! I was sad when I could not find the video awhile ago. 😁 Thanks for sharing your experience. The island has become my dream place to visit. So amazed with the views and in love with the gardens. 👍❤
"Sharing the Love".....says it all about Laura & Aaron, and Baby, and Dexter! Should be yalls Family motto, and business, maybe. Garden Answer "Sharing the Love".....Always 🌿 Hope baby boy is doing well 👼🏽
I haven’t seen this video before and I loved it, love the beautiful gardens and historic homes. I would love to go to the island myself. Thank you for sharing
L & A, I first saw these gardens last year, thru your videos. I actually wanted to buy tickets for us this year. Sigh, didn't happen 😢. I'm still a garden novice, I'm learning so much from GA and also all the fans who provide even more info! THX!!
I was there in 1975 on a family vacation! 80% of my Aunts, Uncles and cousins were on this vacation of a family lifetime. We said that we would do it again once the cousins had kids of their own, but sadly we never did.
Anyone know what kind of ground cover was used around the Annabelle hydrangea and white Shasta Daisy’s at 15:40, in this Belle Vue garden tour? The combination of these three together, looks so perfect. Thanks everyone and happy spring planting!
Just for anyone wondering plant names mentioned: Supertunia: Vista Fuchsia, impatiens, geraniums, Black Lace Elderberry [sambucus], lilies, cimicifuga, hydrangeas Invicibelle Spirit, euphorbia [diamond works], Pennisetum [Fireworks], Ninebark [Diabolo], Rudbeckia (yellow flowers), crocosmia [Lucifer (red) maybe], Pachysandra groundcover is zones 4-7. Hydrangea [Annabelle], juniper [Sea green?], Hydrangea [Limelight]. Maybe pin this?
Thanx so much for the names. So much easier to have a name to ask a garden nurseryman, rather than trying to describe, lol.

Laura you really need to visit Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, PA!!!
Anyone know what kind of ground cover was used around the Annabelle hydrangea and white Shasta Daisy’s at 15:40, in this Belle Vue garden tour? The combination of these three together, looks so perfect. Thanks everyone and happy spring planting!
Love these tours! But Laura, how did you now know pachysandra??? It’s ubiquitous on the East coast. I thought it was everywhere!
