Jenny and Jerry, as locals of Mackinac County (across the bay from Mackinac Island in St Ignace) it was so much fun to meet both of you and have you in our 'neck of the woods'. This is a wonderful place to live, and one of the privileges is having so many people come to our area to visit. Brigadoon is such a wonderful cottage, and it was my honor to be a volunteer there for the garden tours. Thanks again for being so approachable. Your Pollinators session was great. Keep up the good work.

First I finally remember to say.... love you in a side ponytail. Super interesting tour with Jack. Not every tour needs to be about the individual plants. The story and the thought process is what really shines here. Great video.
I absolutely loved the look on Jack's face when you were telling him the Southern version of why we paint Haint blue ceilings ... and then he proceeds to tell the Northern version was to keep the bugs & birds off - I found it quite humerous and very endearing - hahaha !!! Thanks to y'all (Jerry, Jenny & Jack) for sharing this wonderful adventure with us - I never tire of the Mackinac garden tours and the info, encouragement and inspiration you all bring along

Wow! What a story of this house! That Jack, he's the best! Helping the owners during the fire and how heartfelt he is. Love the blue ceiling stories. Makes me want to paint my porch ceiling! It is absolutely amazing and gorgeous! The whole front yard being planted in a half a day could only be done with a super talented staff following a super detailed design that was perfect. Jack does an awesome job making those places look, feel, and function at the highest level. Wow!!!!

We visit Mackinac every year and saw this house after the fire. This year we were completely surprised by the renovation. You would never know that the top of the house was previously destroyed..and being a historical house as well. It's impressive.

I had to leave another comment, because I am binge watching this video today. 😁🌿💮 There's just something about the rapport between Jenny and Jack, the history of the home, the current state of the grounds after the magnitude of the renovation...I mean, the other videos I've seen this week were lovely (especially the tour of the Grand Hotel 🤩), but this one is the BEST! This one made me add Mackinac Island to my destination bucket list.

Wow…I’m from Savannah Ga. the Deep South low country and have never heard about the spirit crossing over? Our story is the same as Jacks! It prevents bugs and birds from settling in with the illusion of a sky and it definitely helps. I’ll have to check into the spirit story, interesting. Mackinaw Island is dreamy! It the land before time! So very whimsical and just breathtaking! Love touring the private cottages with y’all! Jack is definitely a master at his craft and just precious and nice on the eyes to boot! So glad they were able to preserve so much history of the house! 💕

This is literally the most interesting tour that I have ever seen on the island. The fire sounds just awful, but the home was brought back to all its glory. Jack and his crew are amazing. Awesome job Jenny and Jerry!!!
