    I'm a tent fanatic and you do a complete and entertaining review that actually shows what I have to know to make a choice. SO many tents don't show the use of the interior by laying out mattresses or humans. A six person tent can fit two to 5 people as there is no standard that is required in claiming how many they sleep. Even if I don't want to buy the tent, I love watching your thorough analysis of each tent. Great job.

      Hi Deborah! Greetings from a fellow tent fanatic! 😊😊 And thank you so much for taking the time to leave me a comment and for sharing what you liked about it! Glad you liked the interior layout sections too 😊 You're right - there definitely is no standard, so it's super important to see how humans can lay out in there. It means a lot that you watch my videos even if you don't buy the tent! That definitely helps the channel out, so thank you 😊

    Thank you for the review. You've always put out very thorough and informative reviews, unlike most that would leave with me questions, some more than most. It is apparent that you put a lot of thoughts into your videos' production, which is very much appreciated.
    We are looking for a cabin tent that sleeps 8 to 10 people. My heart is set on the Gazelle T4 Plus because of its ability to withstand substantial rain and wind, but it is heavy, so I'm looking for others. The Core 10 Person Straight Wall Cabin Tent with Full Rainfly caught my eyes. It seems to be pretty new as I have found only one "review" video on it. Would you be interested in looking into that?

    • @jdmorgan01
      @jdmorgan01 ปีที่แล้ว

      This channel completed a review on the CORE 10 person tent, if you look back through their videos. They also have a super review video comparing several 10 person options.
      We purchased the CORE tent, and though we’ve only used it once so far, were really pleased with it. I think I would have like to go with the Columbia option more, the lower price on the CORE was ultimate decider for me.

    • @CampingGuidance
      @CampingGuidance  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Chomp Thank you so much! I'm really happy that you've been liking my reviews 😊 And I'm glad that I can cover the questions that you have! 😊
      Oooh actually I've heard many great things about the Gazelle too. I intend to publish a review on that, but only closer to the end of the year as I haven't had time to thoroughly test it yet. But one of my viewers bought it and told me it was fantastic! The packed size is huge though.
      And I've come across the Core full rainfly tent! I think it's pretty new too, it wasn't for sale when I bought my other Core 10P (without the full rainfly). Sadly I've lost my shipping supplier (which helped me to ship these tents from the US to Asia where I live, at lower than average costs), as they've shut down recently. So I don't think I will be able to buy and review most of huge tents anymore for the near future, at least until this channel makes more money. It currently costs an arm and a leg in taxes and shipping alone :( I'm so sorry about that. But for what it's worth, I do think that the quality of the Core full rainfly tent should be comparable to the one that I have, and the full rainfly will definitely be useful in the substantial rain. (Not sure about wind though because cabin tents tend not to do so well in wind). You could give that a shot! 😊

      @CampingGuidance  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Justin! Thanks so much for your comment and for helping out the other viewers of this channel, it means a lot, and I'm really glad that you like the reviews too! 😊 And I'm really glad to hear that the Core tent has been working out well for you! Hope you get to use it more in the upcoming summer 😊

      @chomp54321 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CampingGuidance Thanks for the thoughtful and detailed reply. If I ever decided on the new Core cabin tent, I will let you know how it works out for me.
      In terms of withstanding high wind, the Gazelle tents do very well in general because you can guy out the side walls that are prone to collapse in high wind. That feature is better than most tents that can only guy out from the top.
      Learning that you have to have those tents sent all the way over to you at great costs makes me appreciate your efforts even more. I wish you all the best with your channel.

    • @CampingGuidance

    Trying to decide between this and the Marmot Limestone 6P! The Marmot is simpler, and lighter and has way more ventilation, but therein lies the problem? One whole side is mesh...which is great, until you're changing clothes w/o the rainfly in a campground, oruntil wind bows desert or river sandbar sand up inside!
    But the Base camp may be a little "too much" with the 5 poles and lack of mesh. But I do appreciate it's ability to hang tough in weather, especially wind.
    It's for me, my wife and our 1 year old....river/canoe/raft camping in the desert south west (US), and car camping all over the west and SW US.
    Thoughts?

    • @CampingGuidance
      @CampingGuidance  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Victor! 😊 Hmm I think all the points you listed are really accurate! For myself I typically leave the rainfly on (unpredictable storms sometimes), and I love having more ventilation so I think I'd go with the Limestone. Oh, and I always camp in super hot summer (that's the only climate where I'm from), and I found the Base Camp to be a little too stuffy for me. But your camping situation may be a little different! I think the Base Camp might be a little better especially for desert camping with lots of sand? It's a big pain to clean out once it gets in!

    • @CampingGuidance
      @CampingGuidance  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Karlo! I'm glad that you've been liking the videos, and thank you so much for taking the time to let me know that as well 😊 As for your question, I don't have the Quechua Arpenaz, though I've seen a lot of people using it in Singapore where I live. Decathlon seems to be one of our favorite stores here. But honestly, I think both these tents don't have that much ventilation. If you want something for very hot weather, look for a tent with much more mesh than fabric, and the more vents you have, the better as well. And I find that the black out feature tends to keep some of the heat out too. I quite liked the Coleman 10p instant tent, it has many windows plus blackout fabric, but any other tent that fits this description should work too 😊

    • @karloreyes
      @karloreyes ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CampingGuidance thank you so much for the very detailed response! Same here in the Philippines, a lot of people are using Arpenaz but im a bit worried as well with the lack of ventilation. will definitely consider the coleman 10p but i fear it might be too big for my kid and wife. looking forward to more of your tent and other camping essentials review! 😊

    • @CampingGuidance
      @CampingGuidance  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@karloreyes Hi Karlo! You're most welcome 😊 I'm glad you liked the response! Ooh you're from the Philippines! That's so cool 😊 I guess Decathlon is really popular there too (I heard it's super popular in Asia hahaha). Hmm if you're camping just with your kid and wife then I think the 10p will be too big. Are you expecting a lot of rain? If not, you could try out the Coleman Sundome dark room 6p. I think that would be very roomy for your family of 3 😊 If you're expecting a lot of rain, you can go with Decathlon's 3P pop up tent, it's super rain proof, plus I like the blackout feature. It doesn't have quite a lot of mesh but there are 2 big vents by the side for some ventilation at least. Not super good ventilation, but not too shabby. So far, these are all the tents that I've tested. The Quechua 3P pop up by Decathlon is also VERY popular here over at Singapore 😊

    How many more stakes and guy lines would I have to buy?

    • @CampingGuidance
      @CampingGuidance  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi there! Hmm anything that's at least 20% bigger than the stuff sack (dimensions given under the Portability test, which is the last test I think) would be pretty good. But that also depends on how much time you have to pack your tents up/how tightly you like to pack your tents up. And I was missing 2 guylines and 6 stakes. I'm totally over thinking my tent purchase here but Does this tent get really hot? I want to camp in the summer here I live and it's sometimes in the 90s. Hi Faylina! Thanks for the question! Hmm tbh I did find it a little bit hot and stuffy in the summer. It's pretty hot where I am too, usually in the 90s as well. This tent is definitely better as a spring/fall tent for sure. If you're planning to use it only in summer, I'd suggest getting something else. Pardon me but I am a 6-foot to male adult and I do not like Dome style tents. I like cabin-style tents.

      Hi Jon! Thanks so much for sharing. 😊 And no worries, I totally get it. Not everyone would love dome style tents. Actually from how my TH-cam videos perform, I think cabin tents are a little more popular than my dome tents hahaha

    What's amazing to me is that this is not the 1800s. This is 2024. With all of our technology not one company can make the perfect tent. Every tent on the market has its drawbacks and it's ridiculous. I bought a Nemo for man tent. The zippers broke on the doors and the vestibule because they are crap. The wind in Arizona blew the seams apart on the vestibule .. the cover on the 10th did not make it to the bottom of the tent allowing wind in and not holding in the heat. The Nemo is a piece of crap. When someone comes out with a tent that does everything I'll buy another one until then all of these tent companies can lick my bee a l l s..

      Oh man I'm so sorry to hear about that. Are you talking about the Nemo Aurora Highrise?
