That's one amazing "battery" of tests (pun intended) you've put those fans through 😅The max airflow distance and recommended tent size are really helpful metrics, so thumbs up for that. I think the Nitecore make the most sense, even though it didn't survive the durability test. The brand's available everywhere and it's compact and light enough to fit in one of my motorbike panniers or backpack. The lantern is a great feature when cooking outside in the dark. Thanks again for these tests, cheers.

Excellent review. I enjoyed watching the entire video.
Something to note about the Claymor3 fan.
    - There is a gap between the housing and the blade spindle on the Claymor3 fan that exposes the internal components of the motor and some other circuits. (You noticed the exposed wire ring on the Nitecore fan)
    - The v1040 model has a type A port that can slow charge phones.

I think the only thing we need for our annual camping trip this year is a decent fan, and I'm leaning toward the Nitecore. Liz! Another brilliant analysis. I'm a huge proponent of camping fans, and currently have about 6-7 different ones that I've picked up over the years. Have the 02 model, and yeah, those D batteries are no joke. Never use it. I usually run the smaller rechargeable fans I own all night (need it to sleep) while plugged into a battery bank... definitely helps to extend the runtime when we're out camping for 5-7 days at a stretch.

GREAT video. Love your comparison vids.
I love my Claymore. It just feels and looks very nice, and it has an available carrying case that is very premium as well. It's got enough room to throw a USB battery pack in which is handy.
Given the price, I agree the Nitecore is a *much* better value, but if you like spending a bit extra on having something premium that feels very well designed then Claymore is a nice brand. We've had this fan about 18 months and it's still running and looking like new. They make a matching lantern to the fan if you feel like being silly with your money like I did (it's beautiful but definitely not worth the premium). I like their headlamps / flood lights as well.

I have just one question? Do the the rechargeable fans run while charging?
I carry a 12 volt battery and usually use a car charging port to charge USB port rechargeable items. Phone etc.... when camping close to the vehicle. It's my phone that gets most the use. I have a Milwaukee radio uses a 18 volt 5.0 battery that will last for days with a aux. Input I attach to my phone to play my music Playlists stored on my phone.

First of all, love those No Face socks! Fan of Ghibli movies, perchance?
In any case, fantastic comparison video as always, and just in time for the camping season. In my books, gadgets with replaceable non-proprietary batteries are preferable if there is no power source to recharge the exhausted built-in rechargeable batteries. I agree that D cells are expansive, but I would spend the extra money for rechargeable D cells. They are of much higher capacity than the non-rechargeable varieties, and so can last quite a bit longer.
