Kathryn thank you for using different powders and stamps to show us the diversity of creativity with PolymerClay. I truly appreciate your tutorials because they are so beautiful and detailed. You inspire and motivate me to go beyond my comfort zone and the end products are always lovely, for me at least. Thank you 🤗
You are amazing! You're so creative in coming up with ways to simulate aged metal. Thank you for the tutorial. The copper one also looks like red bronze.
I think your client is going to be thrilled. All wonderful pieces. I'd sure appreciate a link to the brooch/pendant combo if you get a chance, Kathryn. I haven't been able to find them.
I love your work! I was thinking if you had a small ball that fit inside your mold while you placed them the way you want, it would support the curve while placing the clay…. Like a tennis ball. Just a thought. Fabulous work.
Thank you so much for sharing this with us!! Those are all stunning!! My fave is the silver for sure. This customer of yours is going to have her hands full deciding lol. Can you share the findings you going to have that double for a hanger too? ❤️ love love your work ♥️
Beautiful! I've been nervous about mixing mica colors. I was working on a piece with a peacock blue and some green, I wanted to darken it just a tad, so I added a tiny bit of black and the entire piece turned silver. Test pieces are important.
Yes Kathy I agree…. I was working with a silver mica today and it’s baked lovely but turned my translucent grey 🤣😂🤣. Looks awful but was a test piece … back to the drawing board 🤣
These are really lovely. Do you bake them on top of the silicone moulds? I have those egg ones but have been worried about putting them in the ove. Daft I know, because I do use them to poach eggs, but wondered if the oven would just be too hot? I love your tutorials, you are superb.
My favorite is the silver with the lines in it. It really looks metallic! Could you do a video on how to attach pin backs to the back of curved pieces? I'm getting ready to start working with Apoxie Sculpt and want to be able to do curved things but have the pin backs be able to attach securely and permanently and so the customer wouldn't have to struggle to put it on. Do you add something to the back which created a flat surface for the straight metal of the pin back to adhere to?
Nancy if you watch any of my other videos with circular pendants especially.....you'll see how i add a tube bale to the back to string the pendant up. x
Amazing pieces!! Like always actually, you're really talented. I was just wondering about what you said about "coating" the pieces with liquid kato, for what I've been seeing it seems to get quite a shiny finish and in that way the piece it's just clay, but I believe that the curing temperature of kato is quite higher than cernit or premo, so I think my question is when you cure the liquid kato it doesn't burn the other clay that you used? Or do you cure it at the cernit/premo temperature? I'm afraid to burn clay, so I didn't had the courage to try it yet..
Hi Carla yes i 'cure' at normal Cernit temps .... then the blast with the heat tool adds the extra heat needed to cure the fine layer of Kato liquid and of course its fully cured then ..... lots of us use this technique.... you can achieve a similar finish with other brands of liquid clay but Kato in a thin layer seems to give the nicest sheen.... just another way rather than using varnish etc x

Hi thank you .... i add a small roll of clay to 'flatten' the backs out hope that helps x
If you wanted to make these as pendants, how would you do that? I’m so doing it but need direction. These are beautiful.
Nancy if you watch any of my other videos with circular pendants especially.....you'll see how i add a tube bale to the back to string the pendant up. x
Which one did the customer choose?
3 silver and 3 copper 🙏🏼
Oh wow. Looks like you got a winner there
I love the copper and silver so much! Can you tell me how long you bake the liquid Kato before you domthebheat gun step?
about 15 mins x
@@KathrynHalstead thanks!

Thank you so much for the explanation. I was really confused about the right temperature to use, now I might give it a try. Thank you 😁❤
