To set mica in sprays, I've used hair spray to seal which helps. I give two light coats after everything has dried. Be careful not to soak, better to do extra coats.
I loved the videos. Gave me the courage to experiment. I love the products that Finnabair produce...something for every project! Thanks for keeping us inspired!
Now this was very helpful! Did not realize that they don't react with water or medium and therefore are so versatile. Now i need to buy them.... Thanks for explaining. I like these kind of product explanation videos!
I just wanted to post a BIG Thank you for sharing your techniques and art with everyone! Such talent...beautiful art and inspiring techniques! thank you :)
Anna, I am so very excited, about the colors and their Light refraction. Could the Mica Powders and or Flakes, be used, in Art Glass Fusing. Would the Mica survive, the Heat, of around 1600 Degrees F? Thank You.
Good solid product information and demonstrations. Wishing Prima did this for all products - especially having you present your own products as Frank is terrible.. not much info, doesn't jump right in as if he doesn't wanr to get hands dirty... and then there are his nails...! eeek Love your stencils and pastes
Hi. Would 10g of the metallic mica powder help make up enough metallic paint (500ml) using brilliant white emulsion as a base? Maybe a 50 gram tub (instead of 10g) perhaps? Also, do you know how light-fast they are when mixed in said (type of) paint? 50yrs? 100yrs before fading? I can get 3g, 5g, 10g, 20g or 50g of the mica powder. Thanks for the help! :)
So much fun and thanks for showing all the different ways to mix it and use it. I didn't even know about the different gels Prima Finnabair had!

Can Mica be used on hand dyed fabrics?
Can I use them for making Calligraphy inks?
If added to proper fluid, I guess the answer is yes!
Can u use these for cosmetics
Can be used in white resins and clear resins?
+mhernandezae86 yes, the product is neutral, the effect will be a bit "marble" if you will use more than 1 colour and not mix it perfectly :)
Where do we buy this?
Did you guys stop selling this product?
Craftin Kate no we still have it! Now also in a set of 6 :)
Thank you Anna! I can't seem to find it anywhere online.

Noxious music! Bye bye...
