Ep. 9 Polaris Explorer magnetic front hub assembly

Mine is spinning front shaft and axles at all times but with electronic magnetic hubs, i assume thats normal. Weird but normal. However, i can grab the front hub and stop the hubs rotation only, so i believe it is not actuating the magnetism. I have a hunch that it may be because the battery is bad and out of it and its running off the pull start. So potentially without the functioning 12v, it may bot be able to actuate and actually lock in those hubs. Im gonna hook up a temp battery now and test it. If any of this sounds incorrect, please feel free to correct. Much appreciated.

ihave the exact same bike. . mine leaks , changed the seal yesterday and today it leaks like a faucet. new seal installed. anyideas what i can do to stop that like. im using atf.

I need to change the wire with the magnet and i'm stock. I don't know how to pull out the magnet piece.

What kind of fluid goes in it?

It calls for Polaris Demand Drive Hub Fluid. Part #2871654
A lot of people use ATF. I used ATF

@@narnialord3940 never use gear oil in the front hubs. ATF is a closer substitute should you need something in a pinch.

@@smallgaragehustletype F transmission fluid works just fine in these hubs, local polaris shop have used it for the past 20 years and never had an issue
