- Hi guys, welcome back! Here's an edit of a flight I did a few weeks ago! We departed runway 34 in Kelowna, BC & landed runway 08L in Vancouver. The clouds weren't totally in our favour that morning, but I hope you guys still like it!!

Some things to note: for time purposes, numerous portions have been fast forwarded & I did not include every single ATC communication or the audio for checklists we performed, but it still gives you guys a little idea of what goes on in the flight deck!

I have such mad respect for people who can juggle all this. It's comforting to see such professionalism.
Love how calm they are and I'm just shitting myself in the back thinking every noise and rumble is something going wrong 😂
The secret to enjoy a good flight (as a passenger) is to have a few drinks before... let the muscles relax a bit, put on some good tunes and look out the window... :) Let the world pass by underneath you...
See my first (and only) flight so far, I was looking out the window nearly the entire time. I think I was in an A319-100. I was nervous at first since it was my first ever time flying in any type of aircraft. We flew for about 4 hours from SFB to SHV. It was pretty exciting, but the entire time I was thinking about every possible thing that could go wrong lol
Even though she a Captain now, let’s just focus on her accomplishments to being a Pilot and all her hard work to get there.
Yes, she’s beautiful, but she’s putting in the work and that deserves our most attention.

Interesting to see the differences from 737, there the pilot flying has one hand on the throttle until V1, but you guys have the pilot monitoring being ready on the throttle. So video idea; why you do it like that ;) and the nature over there is almost as nice as here in Norway :)
For our SOPs it's actually the CA, not the PM that has their hand close to the throttles. So when the CA is the PF, they also have their hand there. It's different for every company!

It's a beautiful De Havilland Dash 8 turboprop and I love this aircraft :)

Women in aviation, always a joy to see just how positive this message is to all young females around the world. With patience, determination and drive (or rather fly in this instance) you can accomplish anything.
Awesome! Thank you for sharing it with us. Quirky fact: I found myself concentrating on your eyes during takeoff and landing. I find it interesting to watch how your area of concentration changes at different points of each process.
On my word, the woman is a pilot....lol. It would seem all the attention is on her appearance and not any specific skills or any of her flight experience. That was fun to watch, the callouts/procedures are a bit different to ours. The approach briefing is almost identical to the format we use though. Also nicely buttered landing 👍

I have a terrible fear of flying ( irrational, I know). But I love these aviation videos. I guess the more I see what's going in the cockpit, the less afraid someday I'll of flying.
God, it's got to be one of the greatest feelings in the world when you push the throttles up and feel that power surge. I mean, I drive a Focus RS and I giggle every time I punch it, I can't imagine what a jet feels like.
I have flown this stretch so often, good to see the cockpit it still as calm, cool and collective as usual - nice approach and landing.

I have a fear of flying but I love watching these videos. Emilie has the clearest voice of any pilot video I've watched. Hope I get to fly soon with a pilot like this.

This is so cool! I can't even count how many times I've made that flight. Reminds me of when I was just a wee lad and the flight attendant invited me up to look in the cockpit to say "hi" to the pilots (obviously more than a few years ago). Thanks :)
Thanks for letting us tag along on a flight. I enjoyed it very much. I have repaired and/or helped build aircraft for the last 35+ years, and have flown in planes a few times. But it was the first time I had a birds eye view on the flight deck.

As as web developer, I hate that I didn't look into being a pilot before. For the last year or so I've been trying to learn more and more about flying in my spare time. I don't know if I'll take a step at least get my PPL, but watching these videos and reading about flying excites me and I thank people like you that show us what it's like.

At the age of 28 i decided to change my whole career. It's never late to do the thing you love the most. Start on the Academy, then fly some small planes and so on!
That's awesome. I've flown in and out of both of those airports, nice to see it from the pilots view.
I dreamed of becoming a pilot when I was a little boy. Now I find it impossible to achieve due to financial problems. I see becoming a pilot is an expensive thing, now I am taking a different path ahead and become a Software Engineer, its painful but I'll get through. I am now taking my first day as a freshman in August 24. Every time I see a pilot videos or any airplane videos, it just breaks my heart. Its just depression seeing my long time diehard dream wont come true.

I like the Dash 8. I was once allowed to fly a helicopter in Penticton in the mountains for almost 4 weeks. It was brilliant! I envy you for the fact that you can fly permanently in this beautiful scenery!

I've only watched two of these where she's first officer on the dash 8 but on each video ATC blows up the radio on the last 30 seconds of the landing while she's fighting the crosswind and the plane is calling out the altitude. As a bus driver when I'm parallel parking or backing up the switchbacks on takakkaw falls I'd prefer to not converse while i'm doing my thing. You guys/gals have great concentration.

That’s so cool to see things how they go up front on a commercial flight. There is a lot more going on in the cockpit than most people know. I fly on Alaska/Horizon a lot it’s sure way different than being behind the yoke of a Cessna 172. Thanks Emilie

Nice, That was Greasy!! Q400 Captain myself out of downtown Toronto and oh boy do I miss it like crazy!! Suddenly all those hard pairings we used to complain about don’t seem so brutal right now and I’d jump back in with whatever it is in a heartbeat. I absolutely Absolutely Love this video and it’s these kind that keep all of our hearts and minds in the game until things get back. Fantastic Job!

My first video watching you was the MSFS 2020 flight to Saba. You handled this professionally and I liked the way ya waved at the plane holding on the taxi-way for ya. Cheers, and I hope travel perks up, but I'm sure it will have some new protocols.
The Q400: the aircraft that tail-strikes at a little over 6 degrees pitch up, and requires power during flare :P Probably the most unforgiving aircraft during landing I`ve ever flown
