I pray this is our forever farm but if now again dozens of roses will be left behind. Now this is not biblical but I believe the passions and talents God gives us in our gardens is because we will get to tend his garden in heaven. Just think how many roses and wonderful things we can plant in a eternity LOL Thank you for sharing your passion!

What I found hard was the fruit trees or berry bushes left behind! Walnut tree that had cost a fortune, tea tree too was costly....best currents I ever had that I can't find replacements for.

My favorites were the David Austin collection...the only thing I don't like about his collection is the very short blooming season. I was always so disappointed when the blooming season was finished. Clothilde Soupert' for the side of a garden shed, very nice to see that it was worth the trouble to find the climbing form; clearly, the bush is REALLY A BUSH, and the climbing form REALLY A CLIMBER! The opposite seems to be true of Gertrude Jekyll. They will SELL it to you labeled as either BUSH or CL., but it's the same plant!

I HAVE AN OLD SINGLE PETAL WHITE ROSE IT WAS GIVEN TO ME BY A CO-WORKER WHO HAD THE HONOR OF CLEANING OUT A CIVIL WAR VETRAN'S CEMTARY AND SHE TOOK CLIPPINGS AND TOLD ME THE ROSE BUSH DATED BACK TO 1865 I HAVE HAD IT SINCE1990'S STILL GROWING AND BLOOMING
Hi Victoria. They are cattle panels you can buy them at hardware stores, co-ops, tractor supply stores, etc. they run about $30 each now. They come in different lengths. 4’ wide and 8’,10’ and 16’ long. Most of ours are the 16’ long ones. Hope this is helpful!

Hi Jin. Sorry for the confusion. Dr William C Welch is a horticulturist, professor and author. He found a rose on his wife’s grandmothers farm in Louisiana that was always blooming and very fragrant and he took cuttings from it and propagated it and gave it the name Maggie. A Found rose is usually one that has been discovered by someone on old home places. Hope this is helpful!
