Heritage Roses is taking over. Novalis and Lavender ice are fairly close to blue. Green would be something - unlike the Chinese Green which is just leaves. And I don’t think it was millions of years. The rose looks like a cross between apple blossom and raspberry
Ralph Moore's original nursery is only about 30 minutes from where I live. You cannot imagine my devastation to know its no longer there. I did find one of his fellow breeders that started their own nursery and carry many of his varieties. I pick up my own "Work of Art" on saturday!!!!!
David Austen’s Strawberry Hill is a high gloss rose, beautiful glossy foliage shading from bronze to green, and really pretty medium to light pink roses too.
this video is really hostoric, time goes so fast, its so strange to see rose breeders in their middle age years, now they have passed from the world, but they leave us such a beutiful roses. Mr. David Austin did such a good job, english roses will always be in the rose history becouse of him.I dont really know about Ralphs Moore roses much, and Im not really into miniature roses, but I know that american rose breeders really apricoate his work. I do rose hybridazing also, well,im trying and still learning, hope one day I can offer to the world something worthy. Im wondering why there is nothing about Kordes family? They did massive work with roses,in some aspects even revolutionary.
Wonderful video. I love learning about the history of roses and the hybridization of them.
Edward Marsh was my grandpa, he made so many roses.
And 30 some years later no blue rose ( thank God!), and David Austin has taken the rose world by storm. He was the future indeed!

Does anyone know what the white variety at 7:55 was finally named that upcoming autumn?
the color of the film is rather off, so its hard to narrow down the choices it could be.
