I watched this video six months ago before becoming Salesforce certified. Six months later, I’m 10x Salesforce certified and have my dream job as a Salesforce Consultant. Thanks, Emily ❤
I am applying to an IT team that manages a Salesforce database. I'm using your video to get a foundation for what questions I might want to ask during my SECOND interview!
Thanks for the great video. You mentioned in the beginning of the video that you were user of Salesforce before you became Sf Admin. So, when you were user, how often did your admin talk to you ( the user ) or how often did you contact admins and how was their response? TIA
Thank you for this video! I am looking to transition from insurance into tech and salesforce was mentioned frequently, so I’ve been learning watching these videos. I have never use salesforce, but my sales team at a former company was using this, and I had only ever heard of it being used as a CRM and that was in 2007. I do have some experience setting up automations through another program when I was starting a business a few years ago and have always had an interest in tech, but never thought I could have a career doing anything software dev related. Even though people think I know a lot more than what I do, bc I just catch on easily 😂
Great! videos, glad i found you 😍 similar to what you have mentioned on the do you have a video of a similar concept with the renewal of opportunity but more on a password reset scenario align to another "service" where for example the users are reminded to reset their password and customize the frequency of those reminders from 1month, 3rd week, 2nd week, 1 week before, 3 days and 1 day before the expiration. 🤓 Appreciate your response. Thank you
I work with Tableau and Alteryx and I keep seeing this Salesforce. Is it another techincal tool? Harder than Alteryx (an automating tool)? I was reading it was no coding? Very curious.
I’m working on my accounting degree, plan on graduating this year, and have worked as a financial associate for almost a year. I see Salesforce admins are really in demand and paid well- do these two things mesh well? Would my accounting degree and experience be something that would be a plus after getting a sales force certification?
You are awesome in how you describe this. Thank you bc I think I want to do this! Trch is the future so I might as well jump in and join the crew lol. Thanks again Emily👍🏽
Hi emily I really find you videos informative and i’m trying to make a career shift if you don’t mind sharing what materials i use and get my salesforce admin certification. Thank you 😊
I have a question: I don't have any experience in this industry so do you have any pointers? Coming from the education industry and currently taking a Digital Marketing Course. I was thinking about enrolling in a fellowship to earn more experience.
Thanks for sharing such helpful information. Does a Salesforce admin have to talk (for example on the phone or meeting face to face) with customer or just assisting them via chat?
It really depends on the admin position. If you are working in an IT help desk job it will be a lot of assisting via chat with their issues. However, if you are going to be building out functionality and testing it you will be in meetings with the stakeholders who need to use salesforce. Jobs will differ in how many meetings you have, if you want to reduce meetings I would suggest not working for a consulting firm.
This video was very informative. I'm interested in becoming a SalesForce Admin and want to know how to integrate information entered into a form on another website into Salesforce. Not sure what the correct terms are here, I'm guessing API?
Hi Emily. I have an email marketing background and I would like to do a shift Career to salesforce Administration. Is it related to email marketing ? I'm still new to this. 😅
I’ve been trying to get into being a full time salesforce admin ! Unfortunately I get tasked more with using the CRM or user now…. How can I become more and admin😊please help
Hello, thank you for such informative video, can you please tell me in short difference between Salesforce admin+ devlopment and Salesforce admin+ testing, if you have time please make a video on this topic, thank you
Hi Emily thanks for the explanation but . I a from India and I have a non engineering background. I have done Ba(P) arts course , can I also do sales force and which one is better admin or developer. I don't know any programming language and which one should I go for tks
I am not IT background but I have an experience of Salesforce Platform for 8 years, now I would want to become Salesforce Admin. Do I have scope for it? Pls suggest.
I need deep understanding for Salesforce CRM and it's important tools for business. However, Trailblazer is time consuming and need lots of efforts. Can you please help me, how do I drill down and get the best things as a marketer? Please
Good morning thank you for all your amazing videos. I am studying to become an admin certified and right now I’m studying my super badges. Sometimes it feels like it’s an impossible task for me to become a self force admin. Is that a natural feeling or should I just take it as a journey process of learning and believe in myself above all?
It really depends on a lot of factors. This is roughly how I would calculate the hourly for the position. Look for a salary online that roughly matches your location, experience level, # of certifications. Then take that thousands salary and divide it in half that should be the hourly rate. Add or subtract for any needs that may or may not be given with the position like health care. Example: If the rough salary for a similar admin position is $80,000. 80/2= 40. So roughly $40/hr. +/- depending on other factors that may or may not be provided in benefits.
There are a variety of different resources! You can use trailhead, blogs, udemy courses, TH-cam videos, practice exams. But I do want to mention that you can create a free Salesforce instance (with limits) to study with and test out the different functionality developer.salesforce.com/signup
It really depends on the job you have in salesforce. Full-time is usually 40hr/week, sometimes more depending on if there are projects on a tight timeline. Freelancing will vary depending on the client. Currently, I am freelance consulting and creating videos/courses. It's somewhere between 20-30 hrs week.
@@salesforceemily wow that’s very interesting, I was always wondering how many hours you typically would do in this field thanks for explaining it to me!
Hi, not "required", no. It is great if you have a broad knowledge as you will have more options to perform a task or solve a business challenge. But Salesforce has been creating many low-code and no-code tools within the CRM to give you the power to automate things without coding! It's really amazing. Flows for example.
