Today we fix our RARE V12 Aston Martin Virage for cheap! The body shop quoted $60,000 to fix the damage that totaled out this exotic and sent it to salvage auction where we bought it sight unseen for the price of a Honda. We DIY fixed it ourselves for only $600 and total repair will be about $2000. We also got SUPER LUCKY and found the key which let us go for a first startup and drive. Wow, does that 500HP V12 sound amazing!

You guys seriously need to open up your own mechanic shop with honest pricing. I can only imagine how mad the owner would have probably been to have been told that his V12 Aston was fixed for 58k less than what he/she was quoted. Some of these mechanics be swindling, BIG TIME!!

I would change both front tires as well as the front hub and wheel bearing for safety and reliability. And make sure there are no micro cracks in the wheel.
Or any other of the cast aluminium suspension parts...
I would check every suspension component on the passager front to make sure everything is good and safe before you drive it a distance.
Man,how awesome a fix/deal 😀🚘👍🏽!! I believe dealers and mechanics tend to over quote just because they can. I learned this the hardway years ago. I was told my engine was locked and the repairs would be $6000 on my 2001 Ford Focus by Ford and another. I still miss it too. Sweet ride.

I love the styling on Aston Martin cars. It is a beauty. Aston Martin is one of the most expensive cars to repair. It is hard to believe the dealer wanted "big bucks" to repair the car. I bet the dealer would have completed the same repair and pocketed the difference for a nice profit. Your guys make good decisions on what cars to buy. Congratulations!

I'm a "Cake Eater" and a family man. Super cars must be a wonderful thing for the "Super" wealthy, not so much for a "cake eaters." Given all the short - and long term expenses, I stick with the van.

When an insurance quotes a claim especially on high end, they provide the for rental and a term called diminished value. Labor for Ford is $140.00 per hour, for high end could be $300-500. So instead of defending a no win situation in litigation, the claims adjuster adjusts the number to make the client happy and makes the difference up on everyone else.

With an impact like that the tie rods are probably bent.
100%. There’s no way that the accident sheared through 2” of metal and didn’t torque the sway bar links and possibly even the bar itself. I’d be curious to see what it actually needs. Obviously it’ll drive, but I’d be curious to see what the checklist comes out to from a dealer, probably around $60K with labor

Brushed metal black wrap is the rarest one for any car...would look great in the aston martin perfectly!
Someone should have told you to never use spray washes on CC brake discs. That’s a quick way to ruin a set of $10K discs.

Most likely the alignment shop will find something else to replace. Maybe take a look at the tie rods and other bits of the steering.
Great video though you need to account for labor and the replacement key.

Wow what an incredible deal - don't you just love insurance right offs - the costs involved are out of this world - i'd say a descent car to flip and make some serious money - love to see the comments in not changing the black - speaking as a black car owner DULL yeah change it to something real colourful and bright - something that can be seen at night time to prevent the nutters on the road colliding with it

The steering is out of alignment for a reason, put it on a lift and check the steering components. Get a four wheel alignment done if all ok. Perhaps the insurance assessor thought there was frame damage? Please don’t wrap it, it’ll cheapen it.
