That is amazing that you didn't have more electrical issues. I have considered picking up a flood car for years but that part scares the crap out of me!
I’ve never been a huge fan of Maserati. I don’t think I’ve ever seen one that made me think “wow”... but in all honesty, at the end of the video, I actually thought wow I want that. Red interiors would also normally be a huge NO for me, but it looks great in this car! Seriously, the paint colour, the wheels, the interior and the sound make this car very desirable. Who cares about the flood! It’s sorted. It’s back on form! Well done and thank you for sharing 🙌🏼⭐️
Men. I am so glad the Maserati worked out! I am just an old Veteran living in my 2002 Toyota Echo. I got two dollars to my name. Awesome how you rolled the dice with 30K. & won. I am Happy for you. And I really enjoyed the videos. Sitting at the rest area on I-10 east just outside Quartzsite. Keep making awesome videos!!
I want one of these so badly! I’m in a wheelchair and they are one of the few exotic cars that are not bad to get in and out of! Plenty of room for my wheelchair too! I have driven several and just love them!
Your absolutely right about fresh water vs. salt water flooding. Most people don't understand that electronics (the hardware) has no compatibility problems with water. I routinely wash IC boards in water and mild detergent when I work on them. I just have to make sure that all the charge holding devices, like capacitors, are discharged before water introduction. It is electricity, the free flowing electrons, that have a problem with water and uncontrolled currents/pathways to ground. If you allow a proper air dry after water submersion before powering up, electronics have zero problems. It is the salt in saltwater that is the corrosion agent. The only concerns with water immersion in fresh water is whether the circuits were energized when the immersion occurred and deposition of debris (dirt, mud) on the circuit boards that will create heat build up issues or additional impedance. If you have doubts, the best thing you can do is to de-energize the IC boards and wash them in fresh water. I know that sound weird, but the best cure for electronics in a fresh water immersion car is to wash the electronics again in clean water and gentle scrubs the boards with mild detergent and water.
Loved your other article on the Maserati. I have a 2008 Maserati GranTurismo. It has several 'quarks' that make it unique; low battery, no electronic trunk latch release, have to use manual release hidden under back left hand seat. Dead battery, key stuck in ignition. Don't run out of fuel otherwise 'error 6' and it locks up the transmission. I ran out of fuel on way to gas station. Died on freeway off ramp then stuck in drive. Could not push car off road. Tow truck with flat bed needed to move. I guess I should have believed the fuel gauge, empty means empty unlike all my other cars. And every so often lots of weird ECU 'errors' on display. Easy fix; remove negative battery cable for 15 minutes. When you hook cable back, it resets the ECU.
I used to flip cars but , you two brothers are the Best. Wishing you the best. It's good to see you two getting along well and sharering your knowledge with us. Thanks!! In Seattle Bill
I love restoration videos and channels. I detailed at a high end pre-used car dealer. And there I had learned that maseratis get a bad reputation. Truth is the one car that had to be jump started the most was the maseratis but mostly the ghibli which was meant to be more of a family sedan. It was made with dodge interior and infotainment. The gran turismo which is this one here was going for around 80 grand a couple years old. Being that they spent approx. 40 on this one and it will have a salvage auction title. Hmmm.. They might've made out a few grand after man hours but they are fun to drive and a lot of people still compliment it because of the name. They are sexy and sporty and it's worth it for the channel but if they ever try to sell it to make a good profit, people will frown upon the water damaged salvage title. Still nice and YES to the red interior!
Have you looked at the shocks to see if Skyhook has been replaced with lowering springs, MC Suspension, coilovers, etc.? FYI, I got a slightly longer serpentine belt for my 2013 GT Sport and haven't had any belt issues since. Ferrari set this engine up to be driven hard but some things wear out quickly.
I think this car has ZF CDCi dampers , the solenoid valve is normally closed, so without module no current is sent and they work on the hardest damping curve
It's heartening to see two brothers (?) having such a good time working together on projects. You guys are rightfully proud of what you have done. Thanks for posting the video.
That car looks hot with the red interior! It's like a dark tux with a red liner on the interior. I think you're right about the flood damage. Not a problem. Don't let it sit!
Those are the most right on cars, ever. Minimal Chrysler based tech, the paddle z auto is a beast, the lil v8 no turbos. And it is a coupe, but the rear seats are adult legit. Change that oil and pcv like 3 times. Is there a year cutoff for wet to dry sump engine styles???
When you're driving around in the Maserati, have you ever played "Life's Been Good To Me So Far" by Joe Walsh? It has the famous lyrics "My Maserati does 185." I know I would play that song all the time.
Found this channel in the morning and just finished watching the skyline gtr playlist and roll royce ghost playlist and the twin turbo lamborghini already subscribed!
Nothing to do about your astonishing video. But the outro music in it.... that song is on my workout playlist. Which I was supposed to be listening to as I did my workout today. Which got delayed due to watching this video. Hearing the song at the end motivated me to jock up and hammer out a workout......THANKZZZZZ!
I got one of these and couldn't understand why I got the Christmas tree of lights on the dash all of a sudden. Put the most powerful battery I could put into the thing, no problems in a year. Well except the air filter that you guys referenced, seems noone replaces that thing and when that goes it puts the car into limp mode and gives a transmission error.
My m4 was like that and it was even stiffer than sport apparently it’s nothing ideal to run the electronic damper that way , some people unplug a connection off suspension just to use on track as it’s super firm
People who haven't dealt or rebuilt flood cars don't understand that they are great cars if you pick the right ones. Some do need to be junked but a lot don't. Great buy!
The original exhaust note is world famous and is actually tuned to generate a specific reaction from people in and around the car. I would have left that alone, but nice job.
I remember when I was a lot guy at a dealership in high school and we had one of these good times haha. Can’t wait for the content coming on this thing!
Question: Who's buying your salvage title cars? I don't think banks are lending on them and most insurance company's won't insure. Correct me if I'm wrong that only cash buyers???
Copart have 2 types of accounts. Individual and Dealer. Are the auction fees same to these 2 types of accounts? Some auction place charges waaay higher fees for Individual account
yea you guys did good on this purchase, flood cars a roll of the dice it seems to be a mild water damage, Luckly no hydraulic lock or electrical Gremlins ,you mentioned it was fresh water over salt water ,even better i wouldn't worry about it failing .
Wonderful car and combo, great choice! The Maserati GT is just a celebration of the automobile. Red leather? Maserati/Italians can pull it off, but BMW try it in their Z4s and it just looks awful, I skipped so many Z4s in my search when I saw the cherry pink atrocities.
so some other shop worked on it because all you guys had was a thunk sound like its hydro locked, and then that was the end of the video now its running and driving so the other shop fixed it and changed out all the fluids?
Loving seeing so many beautiful cars, and OMG! ❤what an incredibly beautiful Maserati. Drooling over the gun metal paint & immaculate red Italian leather interior 🤪 So jealous that these vehicles are readily available, as we don't have anything like it in NZ unless we import from Japan which is online & still expensive.
That was awesome 👌🏽. Love what you did with the mazi. I have mazi gts so I appreciated your content. Some rear wheel spacers would finish off the look if your so inclined, however, it's gr8 as stands! Gr8 work guys!
This is BY FAR my favorite car on the channel! Please do not sell this car for a very long time! The Gran Turismo's sound incredible on start up and low rpm driving, such an amazing exhaust note!
Bella automobile 🇮🇪. My question is, have you or are you going to research this car to learn the sticker price for it. I can't see this leaving a dealer showroom for less than $200K. Sidenote, red interiors, for me, only work in Italian cars.
Maserati GT: 1 Hurricane Ida: 0
Who caught the V12 sound clip hint at the end? What do you think we bought 🤔 5 fire video in the works coming soon!!!

V8 Ferrari engine bro...that is the real deal
@@manfreofc yeah but it sounds a lot better Maserati is the king of v8 sounds
Love mines✅
@@URFATH3R The twin turbo V6 that comes with the Ghibli also sounds sick

Toyo echooooo siiiiickkkkk!!!!
Quartzite, AZ? I've been through there, last June.
I want one of these so badly! I’m in a wheelchair and they are one of the few exotic cars that are not bad to get in and out of! Plenty of room for my wheelchair too! I have driven several and just love them!
I have a 2016 GT same colour as this one. I don’t drive it a lot but every time I drive it literally puts a smile on my face.

We’ll have to check that, thanks for the suggestion!
That Maserati is absolutely gorgeous. I love the spec! I’ve never had a car with red leather but would definitely do it with the right spec.
Love the color specks on this car. Definitely a dream car for me. Got rid of my Maserati during COVID, and regret it every day.
Always been a fan of red interiors. Best with silver exterior, but this charcoal color really works! Red calipers finish it off well.
I think this car has ZF CDCi dampers , the solenoid valve is normally closed, so without module no current is sent and they work on the hardest damping curve
That Maserati looks so nice I don’t know how anyone couldn’t love it, looks great with the red interior
Sound so good with the X pipe and for the price You pay… WoW !
It's heartening to see two brothers (?) having such a good time working together on projects. You guys are rightfully proud of what you have done. Thanks for posting the video.
How much do you think you can get for that with it being a flood damaged car?
That colour combo is 🔥, love it. The red interior is absolutely scrumptious, delicious!
That car looks hot with the red interior! It's like a dark tux with a red liner on the interior.
I think you're right about the flood damage. Not a problem.
Don't let it sit!
You guys should look for all the ground modules to see if they have any water damage. Car looks amazing in red and grey.
Just replace the cable tree to be sure it's fine electrical wise
Those are the most right on cars, ever.
Minimal Chrysler based tech, the paddle z auto is a beast, the lil v8 no turbos. And it is a coupe, but the rear seats are adult legit.
Change that oil and pcv like 3 times.
Is there a year cutoff for wet to dry sump engine styles???
maserati make some of the best sounding cars. the exhausts are so spot on. up there with the lfa in my opinion.
When you're driving around in the Maserati, have you ever played "Life's Been Good To Me So Far" by Joe Walsh? It has the famous lyrics "My Maserati does 185." I know I would play that song all the time.
Absolutely !!!!!!
Great work, yes agreed, love the colour combo, the red interior is beautiful
Love the Maserati looking to but used not looking for a project' I'm hoping 2018 or 2017. What do you think has lest problem.
is this the masserati that broke on the highway. due to water damage .in the engine & transmission..😅
Found this channel in the morning and just finished watching the skyline gtr playlist and roll royce ghost playlist and the twin turbo lamborghini already subscribed!
Welcome! Glad you are liking the content!
After watching your video i wanted to start investing in stocks

The suspension will get even stiffer than Sport mode. A new module is around 500 GBP from scuderia parts if you ask for a discount.
All Maseratis have a long check engine light at start up. That’s because the computer does a full diagnostic on every start up.
That is a great looking car. Usually don't like the red interior but that just pops with that one.
Loving the content. Keep it up, can’t wait to see the next cars
and now what is the procedure to getting this vehicle and no. plate registered ?
The red interior is the best part of the whole car and definitely gone help on the up sell
Amazing content, as usual!👍🏽
Not the biggest Maserati fan, but ngl the spec looks so slick and the exhaust really makes it shine!✨
I would still buy this car with a smile. I live here in AZ as well and always love the sound of one of these when they go buy! Great pick up
What's up with the "Victory Motorcycles of Scottsdale" overhead covered parking area??
I'm happy for ya' that there were not any major issues with the items needing to be repaired / replaced ,
Hi guys. Can you share the link for where you sourced the floor mats please.
My m4 was like that and it was even stiffer than sport apparently it’s nothing ideal to run the electronic damper that way , some people unplug a connection off suspension just to use on track as it’s super firm
What’s the blue car behind u in the beginning? It seems a Porsche taycan turismo.. I know it’s an electric one
How can you get a Insurance company to insure this salvage title vehicle
What time, and How much are those rims for that blue M3?
At what point in the video you guys discuss how much it cost to fix the car? Couldn't find it..
People who haven't dealt or rebuilt flood cars don't understand that they are great cars if you pick the right ones. Some do need to be junked but a lot don't. Great buy!
Can flood salvage cars be insured? I thought it was illegal to put them on the road, maybe its state dependent.
The original exhaust note is world famous and is actually tuned to generate a specific reaction from people in and around the car. I would have left that alone, but nice job.
When you get water in the transmission oil with time the torque converter can be damaged 💔
What did you use to clean the leather and steering wheel ii your video?
yea you guys did good on this purchase, flood cars a roll of the dice it seems to be a mild water damage, Luckly no hydraulic lock or electrical Gremlins ,you mentioned it was fresh water over salt water ,even better i wouldn't worry about it failing .
Do you do any consignment work? I'm trying to acquire a COPART Portsche Panamera.
Classy spec, agree. Please lower it. Not slammed, just a few mm.
Love the video… but want to see old projects finished.. you had 2 458’s.. and much more do videos on those please:)
On my Maserati, a suspension light comes on when sport suspension is turned on. Not sure if that’s a different light.
You don't need to change the engine with flooded cars?
so some other shop worked on it because all you guys had was a thunk sound like its hydro locked, and then that was the end of the video now its running and driving so the other shop fixed it and changed out all the fluids?
What leather conditioner/cleaner do you use?
why wont you chang the car black to red ?
Love the spec! The red interior is gorgeous! The X pipe sounds amazing!
A gold mine find, for sure! Great job, guys.
how much he fix it
Car looks perfect just as it sits. I’m not a fan of red interiors but that one works
The red interior looks stupendous ! It is so bad-ass! That car is bad-ass! ❤😍
That red interior is awesome ,u guys are inspiring have to find something on copart thanks guys for sharing
What would u say about a copart kembership
Is this near Scottsdale airport was just over there?

Look's great Brothers!!! Wish you guys the best with her! And yes, I am a red interior fan! Burnt orange first, red second!!!! Enjoyed the vid!
✌🏾🖤✊🏾
Your "luck" is tons of analysis when selecting those special cars. Big up, props to you and your team! Lovely Gran Tourismo!
I was one of those people I used to absolutely hate red interior 🤮 but these last 2-3 years I'm loving it ❤️ great video as usual guys keep it up.
This was a steal for sure!!! Awesome to see it in great condition!! Love the spec too!!
You guys did a amazing job with this gorgeous Maserati 🇮🇹👌🏻 wishing you all the best in 22
Normally hate red interiors but it looks cool on the Maser! Great colour scheme, great car!
Please make a video of tips and tricks on how to select a diamond in the rough.
Loving seeing so many beautiful cars, and OMG! ❤what an incredibly beautiful Maserati. Drooling over the gun metal paint & immaculate red Italian leather interior 🤪
So jealous that these vehicles are readily available, as we don't have anything like it in NZ unless we import from Japan which is online & still expensive.
so what was the cost of repairs.
I completely agree!!
I believe this might be one of the best sounding cars I've ever seen
I love the red! I have an Alpha Romeo with black exterior and red interior and love the look.
Whats the KBB after the fixes? How much you guys gonna profit? I like cars but i love side hussle businesses
Bella automobile 🇮🇪. My question is, have you or are you going to research this car to learn the sticker price for it. I can't see this leaving a dealer showroom for less than $200K.
Sidenote, red interiors, for me, only work in Italian cars.
Is this one a year reliable year or is it bad to buy a 2018v
Red interior is fine as long as it goes good with the body color.
Safe Journey!
CHOLULA!!!
In Melbourne’s wealthier suburbs there were so many of these Maserati’s on the road we called them ‘South Yarra Holdens’. That wasn’t a compliment.
Hey guys, you vacuumed under the rugs, right?
Love the video, you guys were very lucky with this car. Love the red color combo
Insane how Rims came out. Didnt expect that!
That is such a AWESOME score! What a WIN! Congratulations guys. That is such a beautiful spec. Love the red.
I have a question
Do you ever buy clean title cars from the auction or only salvage?
