Gidday Richard, you have caught the iconic coastal scene beautifully with minimal strokes and restrained abandon. Geez those birds are a key note for sure as they are in real life. And another THANK YOU from Germany. This is the most inspiring and relaxing lesson one could ever have. You are dancing your marks at the canvas and it is a pleasure to see your beautiful landscapes melt into the picture, like a reflection in a juwel - just pure beauty and breath of nature. It´s hard to get german thoughts into right english words. I´m sure, you´ll get it... You lighten the dark and depressed german december. That means a lot!

Good day Richard, here we have another beautiful masterpiece from your agile left hand. I love the beautiful blue of the sky and water, interrupted by the sand dunes, which don't look monotonous at all because you give them shape by skillful colouring. And, Master Richard, you have painted some truly exquisite birds, seagulls, and a pelican making its rounds ! Superb ! There are quite some painters around who do photorealism. Please, stay with your technique, your paintings are outstanding. - I think I've mentioned the music before, perfectly fitting your energy. What great hand eye coordination you have there OBP in using the palette knife to paint in those tight open spaces. I'd be too scared to use the palette knife in those situations in fear of creating a disaster.

Wow this one is fabulous,. I love your river/seascapes, unique style you have, great advice too! , I make my own canvas panels, I glue the canvas to panels, I like the canvas tooth and the hard panels for painting on 🖌️🎨👍, also I glue a 40mmx10mm frame on the back For mounting on the wall and paint the sides , they can also be framed if wanted,. I paint mostly 16 inch x 20 inch paintings,.

Richard, I know I'm a little late to the party but this is a question I have on a lot of the videos. You probably have a good reason but I would really like to see what your reference is. I love all the cut aways to the location but what is the actual picture you look at while painting.? I think it would help us understand why you are putting the marks and colors and how you build the composition. Thanks for all the great videos!

Thanks Brian! I just make it up as I go! I could have gone Ultramarine, which is a red blue, but then I would have to also go Pthalo for the green blues! Cheers:-)
