    Can’t count how many times I’ve watched this.Extraordinary ‼️
    My all time favourite.
    I rotate between anticipation,calm, then excitement and wonder. But genuine amazement and appreciation is paramount.
    The detail… and colour perfection.
    I thank you for sharing YOU.

    Masterpiece.
    I cried at the beauty of the detail in the close up, which was not obvious as you were creating it.
    And I felt a completely new pride, for our country, a gift. Treasure . Unique.
    Thank you Sir.

    Gidday Richard, back at Sydney Harbour and so much to work with. Love how you developed detail without sacrificing spontaneity and time. Confidence seems to be your mantra and the palette knife sings in your hand. Another beautiful rendition of tone and light my friend. Cheers, Rich

    I watched the whole video! Richard, I just was completely mesmerized watching you paint! No one can use a palette knife like you. I think the painting turned out fantastic! I have a relative that lived in Australia for awhile and I am definitely going to send them this video to watch. I may try to do my own rendition of Sydney Harbor for them, using yours as an inspirational guide, if you don’t object. Again, it is just magnificent!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💕💕💕👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

    Greetings from Ukraine! I have been following you for almost a year. Everything is great, especially the fact that you immediately guess the color scheme of the background and foreground of the picture, the color ratio, especially in shadow and half-shadow places. I especially like looking for color on the shore of the ocean or a small lake.

      @geoffreydawson5430 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@omnesilere Do you know him? From what I have learnt he was a fast painter, with great gusto. When you have well to do people lining up to be painted by him (no cameras back then) he had to learn to be fast. His watercolours after his period of unenjoyable portrait painting is a great testimony to his ability to paint fast and to catch the light of the moment.

    Thanks again Richard… There is so much in this painting, and I’m learning the importance of the tones and the values of the colours. You’re a master at that and make it look so easy, but it only comes with years and years of practice. It’s not easy but I’m sure once learn ’t it is invaluable as a skill. Your lessons are priceless to us, and being able to share your talent is truly precious. Many thanks for your time and another real master piece. Some questions if I may.. What was your source material.. Photos or off the computer screen, or sketches, What makes you decide if you paint on a wooden base or use canvas. Is it the client’s choice or sometimes your preference at the time? Bill

    It's always a good thing to have a level horizon line because people tend to get upset when the water runs out of the picture and gets all over the carpet.
