If you require more screen capture features than what is included with the Snipping Tool, Greenshot and Lightshot are both great 3rd party alternatives that I have recommended in the past. Thanks for watching :)
I know Im randomly asking but does any of you know a way to get back into an Instagram account..? I was dumb forgot the account password. I would love any tips you can offer me.
🤯It's 2023 and I've been using Windows since Microsoft was founded, and I'm still using windows 7 (sometimes 10.) I didn't know this existed as a built-in Windows Tool until today!
Well played that man . I realise that in this day and age , I should be computer adequate but unfortunately I'm not . I rely on videos such as yours. Very much appreciated and greetings from Scotland . 😉
Hiya, thank you it was very informative. Just one question if you have snipped many pages how do you search for something? The search In word will not work on the pages I've snipped? Many thanks Cherie
My task bar has snipping tool, notepad, control panel, settings, character map ☠... so learning how to make short cut keys is very useful (running out of space). Thanks!
Thanks! Wasn't aware of the Snipping Tool. I always just used Print Screen and pasted into GIMP and did all my editing there. Looks like it would be a whole lot easier with the Snipping Tool.
They should teach relevant computing skills like this in schools. Why the fuck we learn about everything else in school except what's actually applicable in the real world is beyond me 🙃
i love most of your videos, but to be honest, i thought this was going to be boring, sarcastically i was saying "the snipping tool, ohhh", but,as usual, you did a great job keeping me entertained, thanks tech gumbo
I know... boring subject. It surprises me how many people I encounter have not even heard of the Snipping Tool. Only made this video so I don't have to ever explain what the Snipping Tool is ever again to family or friends. I'll just direct them to this video. 😀
I wish to save an email in outlook but only want to save the actual email itself excluding the message pane of all other inbox messages. What type of snip would suit this?
It told me that I can take snpis when holding LogoButton+Shift+S. And I have done so, and have taken many snips so far, but I just can't find them. It would be terrible if they haven't gotten saved. Can you pls tell me where they automatically get saved in?(Ask me anything about my PC if necessary)
That's a really good tutorial. Thank you! However, my snipping tool is suddenly only showing its top bar, no commands, no selection options. Just the top bar pops up on the screen with the name of the program, the icon and the 2 sizing buttons and the X for exit button. Can't make it larger with the middle button. This, in win 8.1. Can you help please? 😢
may i ask how do you exit it, i use snipping tool but i cant exit it like the screen was only showing the part that you snip but i cant exit it i cant also click the screen bcz im on snipping I already search and it said to click Alt+Tab but it is not working
I like this tool, but I need to be able to highlight an area on the image I snip, and then be able to make readable notations, sometimes with arrows. I can use the drawing tool to do this somewhat, but it looks like a child's crayon. Any ideas?
THere is an option in sniping tool to automatically copy to clipboard. So as soon as you draw the rectangle you can then open paint, and press CTRL V and the screen shot will be there in paint with all its arrows and lines etc.

+Phil Boyd It is definitely a lot easier and quicker using the Snipping Tool than doing modifications in Gimp.

I wish to save an email in outlook but only want to save the actual email itself excluding the message pane of all other inbox messages. What type of snip would suit this?

how do you remove the white background
You should make video on how to make you tube videos or top youtube video making softwares
Best tip for beginners is to install Lighshot. Much more user friendly and powerful than Snipping.
may i ask how do you exit it, i use snipping tool but i cant exit it like the screen was only showing the part that you snip but i cant exit it i cant also click the screen bcz im on snipping
I already search and it said to click Alt+Tab but it is not working
You should make a video of good free thirdparty softwares for this. That has more features.
That's a possibility.... Greenshot & Lightshot are both good options.
Wish they had the feature which OSX has, using spacebar to move it around makes it so much easier and way faster to get the perfect screengrab.
Thanks for the vid however PLEASE show us for windows 11 💻
Thanks TG!
Thanks

I used this all the time :) I am interested about learning jing. Do you think you can do a tutorial on this?
Jing is no longer supported. It has become Snagit.
Nice
