Brambly hedge were my favourite books as a child and I still have my original books and love reading them seasonally. I would love to live like those little mice, cottagers at its finest!
I love Brambly Hedge too, and recently discovered The Foxwood Tales by Cynthia and Brian Paterson - soo precious! Very similar art style as Brambly - cute animals in cozy, detailed cottagecore settings. Highly recommend ❤
I have to say, I've had two Dyson vacuums and neither of them were nearly as good as the Shark that I have now. I have one very similar to yours, and it's actually a pleasure to vacuum! I cleaned houses for years, and many of my clients had these crazy expensive vacuums, but the one I like the best out of them all was the Shark. Affordable and does a great job.
Many years ago I bought mum all four Brambley Hedge teacups she still has them in a display cabinet…never having been used ,she drinks out of an old kenko coffee mug she got free with a jar of instant coffee 😂
Your common place books are wonderful. I was able to take advantage of the notebook-special on Foxed and appreciate all you do. _ sometimes, just keeping up is work(but in a special way) I think moving Comfort to Thursday, for you, a smart move - enjoyed this Bumper Edition!!!!! I do the dusty rose in Jones Road Balm. Haven’t tried the foundation - do a BB crème. You have beautiful hair , happy you found a good brush.. Hugs to you and Mom, between comfort, and seasons, you are giving this widow, so, much joy and warmth from you both. Thank you.
Thank you Miranda for all the lovely Spring favourite things. I love my Mason Pearson hairbrush - I've had it over thirty years so I think they are worth the extra, they're also a British company which is nice. I listen to the Fern Podcast with Lia Leendertz which is delightful. I don't know why but I've got it into my head that you may have interviewed her but I can't find where it would be if you did. Anyway lots to inspire in your video, Happy Spring, Teresa
Thanks so much for your lovely support, Teresa, which I very much appreciate! No, I’ve never interviewed her, but yes, I know the podcast. Hope you have a lovely Easter weekend ahead! 🐣🌷😊
A ‘bumper’ edition indeed, Miranda - a lovely, non-calorific Easter treat! Thank you so much, and for all the hard work you must put into its compilation. Happy Easter to you and to your dear Mum. 💐
This was SO ENJOYABLE! Thank you Amanda! So many of my favorites also...Brambly Hedge, the seasonal mugs for one of my daughters.Bobbie Brown for my other daughter. Tasha Tudor a VERY long time favorite of mine. I used to have every book she ever publised, illustrated, tons of books about her, A few of her prints. SHE was the ORIGINAL "cottage core". I also shed more than a dog/pet! Was looking at the same Shark vacuum. Now I think I will purchase it. I don't think Spring arrives here in Mi. until May! I wear my Irish wool cardigans up until then! Those Clare Fletcher bunny cards are SO ADORABLE!! Love them. I could open a stationary store with the amount I have. Make my own also... Well Amanda this was truly a happy, enjoyable video. Thank you so much. Looking forward to the Comfort Book Club; loved rereading The Secret Garden. I did order Frances Burnett Hodgson book from Blackwells. Haven't finished it yet. Been reading ANNE also! 🤗🤗
So many of my firm favorites noted here! It's's great to have kindred spirits in Miranda and Donna. Also, one of my favorite Spring poems is Spring Goeth All in White.
Lots of things there that I live too, Brambly Hedge was a favourite of mine and one of my most used perfumes 8s Chance by Chanel ( no Great Uncle to get freebies for me sadly 😂) I adore Seasalt clothing, so soft and yet durable and made to fit a womans shape. Have thoroughly enjoyed re-reading The Secret Garden, it didn't disappoint, and now I'm into Beyond the Secret Garden by Ann Thwaite another fabulous read. Thank you for such a lovely episode, looking forward to the Comfort Book Club this Sunday 😊
Mmm, lots of delightful things here that make life special, many of which I enjoy myself. But don’t you think the Chanel scent has changed from how it was before. I was quite disappointed after my last purchase. Anyway, I do enjoy your channel, I thought of you at the weekend as I visited the Persephone book shop in Bath x
Thank you, Miranda! So many beautiful spring things! The Brambly Hedge mug is just wonderful. I have the winter book of this series and I love it. Your stationary is always gorgeous.
I recently bought 4 bramley hedge plates for the four seasons. I was so so lucky to get the for £5.00 each. I then looked them up and the ones I bought have a start price of over £50.00 each. Feel very blessed to have found them x
Just in time for this video with my cup of tea ready ☺Brambly Hedge anything makes me so happy - I bought a custom made mouse house myself a few years back and feel no guilt whatsoever! Thank you for all your recommendations, Miranda! x
Hello there Miranda - I found great delight in your favourite Spring things. - even though we’re finally just coming into Autumn here in Southern Australia !! (Which is my favourite time of year…followed closely by Spring ) oh my gosh the William Morris boxes are an absolute delight - thank you for sharing. It sounds like you and I share similar taste in perfume - have you ever tried “Cherry Blossom” by L’Occitane en Provence? My absolute favourite ❤ have the most wonderful Easter - which reminds me that I have another batch of marshmallow bunnies to make 🐰
Thank you for the Spring update, I found Chance a couple of years ago - always did Channel #5 and Gabrielle - get so many compliments when I wear - wonderful variety - Thank you for all your hard work❤
Hi Miranda! I look forward to your videos every week. Loving the Spring content :-) And thanks for introducing me to the commonplace book. I had no idea what one was, but I love the idea! xxx
What a lovely video, so many great recommendations. I used to have a Bramley Hedge teacup & saucer on display that I think is in a box in my loft 🤔 If you want to collect some then charity shops are a good place to look. Also loved the stationary and boxes 😍. I've just finished reading Darling by India Knight that you have recommended previously and it was a great read. Happy Easter 🐣
I had forgotten you were putting a video up today so it was a lovely surprise! I am definitely going to check out the perfumes you recommended. I purchased L'Air de Rien on your recommendation and have so enjoyed it over the winter months. I have recently purchased an Estee Lauder one in a similar bottle to those you showed - it is called Blushing Sands which is lovely too. My friend has bought two of the keepsake boxes that you mention - she uses one to hide the remote controls on her coffee table and the other for the family to put their mobile phones in at dinner time - such a great idea! Thank you for the lovely positive Spring content x
Luv and blessings and blossoms from California. As a self-professed? confessed? Anglophile (as was my Mother) I always enjoy your vlogs, posts and printables! Thank you for making the not-so- "commonplace" books, inspirations and quotables. And fashion. I recently started watching more travel vlog YTUBERS and one hostess visted Liberty of London shop/store. I only knew of the fabric devision but not the various wares. A little too poshalicious for my pocketbook, but wonderful to see. Again ty for the AB-FAB content I can always count on. And re-watchable, to boot.❤🇺🇲🌍🇬🇧
Happy Easter! I hope you and your mum have a wonderful weekend and that the Easter Bunny visits you. I absolutely adored the Roberts radio. I need a radio in my utility room for when I do the ironing (so boring) and this seems to be just want I'm looking for. Thank you.
As always, spending time with you is a delight. Can’t thank you enough for the mention of Barbara Pym. One of my all time favorite authors. I was unaware of the movie online. Heartfelt thanks for mentioning. Finally, thank you for the Easter Commonplace book. What a treat!
Thankyou so much, as always, for all the hard work, but hopefully enjoyment too, that has gone into this video. So many beautiful things to inspire. But I wonder how you can bear to part with the so, so beautiful cards! I was glad to see you using “my” spring cup and glad that you also are a Seasalt fan, the cardigan had such a lovely vintage one. Thankyou Miranda.
I used to collect the Brambly Hedge China too and still have some of it. You can also watch 8 episodes of it on TH-cam. I just love watching them and they are so cute and very close to the books… I adore Wilfred and Primrose!! Xx
Oh my goodness, Brambly Hedge! I absolutely ADORE those stories from my childhood. I have the same books you have there, and I bought the 40th anniversary edition a couple of years ago, it's on display on my bookshelf (facing forward for all to see ha ha) - i re-watched the 90s TV show on TH-cam a year or so ago too, it was so nice to revisit it. xx
What a lot of work you put into these „Favorites“ videos! They‘re greatly appreciated and I love watching one with a nice ☕️ and taking copious notes. Happy Easter to you and your charming mum! Lots of love, Monica 📚🐾
I made the Easter brownies as our Easter dinner dessert. I subbed in gluten free 1:1 flour, and they came out perfectly. Very rich and delicious. Everyone raved about them. Thank you for the link.
Many years ago I came across a cute mouse in a fancy suit at a Royal Doulton outlet store in a mall in Maryland, US. That was my introduction to Brambly Hedge. He was a groom. It took me years to find his bride. The china characters had been hard to find in the US or were too pricey when I did find them. I also came across a covered trinket box and one small used book. That has been my entire collection for quite some time. I have Dusty Dogwood and Poppy Eyebright along with the book Summer Story which their wedding is from and the trinket box is Winter. Some day I am ging to add to the mouse collection.
Ohhh, what a lovely video, dear Miranda! It was such a joy to watch it and get inspired! I'm so looking forward to the easter common place book! You are so amazing and always gifting us wonderful things!❤ Have a wonderful rest of your week!!
A wonderful video! Thank you so much that you share all these things! And oh these boxes! They are amazing! Whishing you a bright and sunny Easter weekend! Greetings from Germany!
I work in fragrance and Cedar Violet is my favorite from Aerin as well ☺️ I remember when it launched a few autumns ago and I wore it all season. Also love Desert Eden, I can tell you like dry woody florals! You might like the new Desert Blooms candle fragrance from Yankee Candle - I helped to design it and it definitely fits into this category!
It sounds like we have very similar tastes in perfume. My all time favourite is Coco Mademoiselle as well. I've recently found a lovely (little bit pricey) perfume that has become my new favourite and one I think is a good companion to Coco. It's by Coach and is called New York. If you get a chance give it a "sniff". I think you'll love it to 🥰
Thank you Miranda for so many wonderful recommendations. I have ordered the deep box from Harris & Jones for my Richard III 'bulletin's'. However, the star for me was the Barbara Pym programme on TH-cam that I have just watched. How lovely, I think it was the pace and reflection in the programme that I enjoyed most of all. Keep up the good work.
This video was just up in time while stood at the kitchen sink with my headphones in and washing the pots as it starts to drop dark outside. Loving all of the recommendations as usual and couldn't think of anyway better to spend abit of me time 😊 thank you again miranda for these wonderful videos they never fail to make me smile 😊❤
A delightful spring collection of goodies, including the brownies, which look delicious! I have to tell you that I had a wonderful trip to Oxford recently, I walked past the original Blackwells though didn't have time to go in, also as I was in the area for a few days I took with me The Dictionary of Lost Words to read. Oxford is full of wonderful architecture and literary connections, I loved it so much. I also visited Blenheim Palace, another spectacular building and very beautiful park too.
You have such exquisite taste! I love how you and Donna have similar tastes and really appreciate each others gifts. I am looking forward to sharing a little bit of Easter Sunday with you and Donna for book club!
Loved this video! I am really looking forward to your Easter Commonplace Book. And I love floral perfumes as well - I think I am going to order an Aerin discovery set for myself. I love the idea of being able to try several before you purchase a full-size bottle. Thank you!
Thanks so much! The discovery set is a lot of fun & a really nice little set of scents. I'm currently trying to decide which of the two rose ones in it I like best! xxx
Thank you so much Miranda. I love all your favourite things. I also collect vintage magazines and those bixes are perfect for them. I have just read an article about Persephone books in Saga magazine. I thought of you as I was reading it.The bookshop sounds really lovely. I would love to visit and I have signed up for their newsletter.😊 I love Angela Harding's work and The Secret Garden.
Miranda, absolutely love the video and all of your amazing finds. I purchased a Serious Reader light (used your discount) and I LOVE it!! Highly recommend!! I’m so glad you got on the Ffern bandwagon. I’m loving mine and I love the artwork that comes with it. 🌸🌷🐇💕
Thank you for a great video, as always. Big shout-out to the Serious Readers lamp! I love mine. I bought the desk lamp version since I work from home. I'm in California, and my lamp shipped pretty quickly. Next on my to-buy list will be the floor lamp (once I figure out where to put it in the house where my dog won't knock it over...).
That’s the same foundation I use and I totally agree with you I love it! You look so pretty in the color you have on! I’m glad to hear your reviews on Jones Road products I have been wanting to try but like your recommendations! Love this video thank you so much for sharing!!
I love many things in your videos and this one is no exception ; both cardigans are wonderful, and the mug, and the spring cards ; I wish you and your Mum a very happy Easter.
This was a gorgeous video, I love your Favourite Things videos do much and we were treated to a bumper edition! Thank you! Happy Easter to you and your mum 🐣
Love the Brambly hedge too and wish I had bought more when it was available. I’m going to try the Aerin sample set but my favorite perfume is orange blossom by Jo Malone, followed closely by wild blue Bell, which is a really light springtime, scent. Highly recommend them.
This was such a wonderful video --- so many wonderful things! The Ffern perfume sounds wonderful. For some reason, I cannot tolerate floral scents, so it is always interesting to find a fragrance that is not floral notes. Happy Easter to you and your mum!
Miranda I enjoyed this so much. Such a variety of lovely things. I am definitely going to watch the film about Barbara Pym, and I'm very tempted to buy the set of Aerin fragrances. I think you enjoyed doing this episode - you looked so happy, and who wouldn't be with a new vacuum cleaner! 😂
I have my tickets for a dramatized version of The Secret Garden on stage at Shaw Festival Niagara-on-the-Lake in Ontario 🇨🇦 Love the videos and the beautiful favourite things.
I always love your seasonal videos best of all. This was such a treat, thank you, it was the perfect way to kick off my Easter holiday. I had already bought two of the Claire Fletcher Easter ornaments and Lucy Almey Bird is my calendar for this year, I was so excited to see them featured in your video. I’m convinced I need one of those Shark vacuums. Is there anything more satisfying than a good hoover for spring cleaning. I laughed along with your hair malting confession… knowing I have the same problem. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole video.
I really enjoy these videos you have such impeccable taste. I especially like the stationary. Also thanks for the Vacuum cleaner recommendation ! I want to replace my dyson. Happy Easter to you and your Mum 🐰🐤
Thank you for sharing some of your favourite spring delights with us. I always enjoy this type of video. I also have a shark vacuum and it is the only one my cat has not been afraid of, which seems a tad ironic. 😂 🦈
Lovely parfumes! 🥰 I also love flower scents. Have you tried the new Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Florabloom? It's currently my favourite. There is a light and an intense version.
This was a fun video. Many great recommendations especially the vacuum. I do have a Shark which I have had for years and it’s been great, but with three dogs it’s about ready to get new one. My adult son has a Brambly Hedge birthday plate which still comes out for each celebration. It is so adorable and brings back wonderful memories. I’m looking forward to Sunday’s discussion of The Secret Garden. 🌸🐇🌷
I so appreciate all the work you put into these videos. They're visually beautiful and full of great information. Thank you!
I'm so glad you enjoy them! Thank you for your kind words xxx
If “dewy” is the look you’re going for with your complexion, you’ve achieved it. You have lovely skin.😀
Brambly hedge were my favourite books as a child and I still have my original books and love reading them seasonally. I would love to live like those little mice, cottagers at its finest!
They really are such charming books! ❤️📚
I love Brambly Hedge too, and recently discovered The Foxwood Tales by Cynthia and Brian Paterson - soo precious! Very similar art style as Brambly - cute animals in cozy, detailed cottagecore settings. Highly recommend ❤
Thanks! Another outstanding Favorite Things Video!! Again, you’re the best!! Happy Easter to you and your lovely mother!
Thank you so much for your kind words and fabulous support, Carol! I so appreciate both 💛
Your Favourites videos are such a lovely treat. Thank you Miranda!

That's so true! I'm really thrilled with my new vacuum (boring purchase as it sounds!!) - it's making my life s much easier already 😂
Many years ago I bought mum all four Brambley Hedge teacups she still has them in a display cabinet…never having been used ,she drinks out of an old kenko coffee mug she got free with a jar of instant coffee 😂

I'm currently trying to decide which of the two rose ones in it I like best! xxx
I noticed your skin right away! You look so healthy, dewy, and natural. Now I must search for a Brambly Hedge mug!
Thank you so much for recommending Ffern to me, Virginia! Mum and I love it! And I'm so glad you like your Serious Readers light too ❤️
Always enjoy your videos and appreciate the trouble you take to make high quality content.
My cards are currently bursting out of their box, so I definitely need to invest in a good big box! Always love these videos, Miranda. Thank you!
What a super post! So many lovely treats to order! Thank you for sharing all these favourites.
Hello Miranda tfs . . always enjoy you sharing your "favorite" things . . have a great evening take care 🙋♀️♥️💐🌻🌹🌼🪻
Thank you! You too!
That’s wonderful to read, Myriam! They really are great lights! 💛
What a treasure of lovely things. Thank you so much ❤
That’s the same foundation I use and I totally agree with you I love it! You look so pretty in the color you have on! I’m glad to hear your reviews on Jones Road products I have been wanting to try but like your recommendations! Love this video thank you so much for sharing!!
Thank you so much, Debbie! 💚💐
I love many things in your videos and this one is no exception ; both cardigans are wonderful, and the mug, and the spring cards ; I wish you and your Mum a very happy Easter.
I love Chance. It's such an elegant classic. Great video!
Dear Miranda this video was such a treat - I love all of your recommendations. Thank you. Best wishes to you & your Mum
This was a gorgeous video, I love your Favourite Things videos do much and we were treated to a bumper edition!
Thank you!
Happy Easter to you and your mum 🐣
Thank you for bringing to my attention “Miss Pyms Day Out, very enjoyable.
Those cards and wooden ornaments look absolutely lovely! Happy Easter to you and your mum!
Thank you! Happy Easter to you too! xxx
This was so good to watch Miranda, a great video of your favourite things. Thank you very much. Wishing you and your mum a very Happy Easter 😊
I enjoy your favorite things for spring. Thanks for sharing.
I was wondering about the balm. Thanks for your review on it.
Another beautiful video! Happy Easter and I cannot wait to see the new Commonplace Book! 🐇🌷
I have my tickets for a dramatized version of The Secret Garden on stage at Shaw Festival Niagara-on-the-Lake in Ontario 🇨🇦 Love the videos and the beautiful favourite things.
Just loved all these delightful things ❤️ I always so enjoy your videos, thank you!
Love you and your mom’s podcast… such beautiful things you share…❤️❤️Thank you dear Miranda
Thank you so much! 😊
What a fantastic mix of Spring favorites!
Hehe thanks Debbie! So glad you enjoyed it 💛🌷
Lovely parfumes! 🥰 I also love flower scents. Have you tried the new Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Florabloom? It's currently my favourite. There is a light and an intense version.
What a fabulous video, have a lovely Easter. I need a bigger bedside table with all these book ideas 😂
Thanks so much for the lovely comment, Glenda! ❤️💐
