Thank you very much. I am only 13 and I sew small things like tote bags and I sew to repair clothing items that have somehow been torn or which need repair. This video is very useful to me since I am only starting my journey to the world of fashion. I give it a big thumbs up!!👍
Hi! At 1:42, people should take care to not sew the sides all the way, but to leave a bit of a space to be able to turn the piece inside out. I was a bit confused in the video at the part where the lining and bag are sewn together and where the gap was. So to anyone else who is confused: the gap is HERE and not at the top of the bag. Its a wonderful video! :)
sorry to be off topic but does anybody know a method to log back into an instagram account? I was stupid forgot the login password. I love any tricks you can offer me!
@Remy Harvey I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and I'm in the hacking process now. Seems to take quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
This was the most calming and useful video ever. I’ve been trying to figure out how to sew a drawstring bag and a lot of other tutorials confused me. Now I know how to do it AND I feel super relaxed. Loved the sewing ASMR bits too
Hot tip guys, in step 2 :MAKE THE BAG LINING LAYER at 1:41, leave a good gap and dont sew all the way through, you'll use this gap later turn the bag inside out. I had to work this out the hard way, had to rip the seams!. Also in step 1, make sure you trim the excess seam allowance as i found it really hard to pull through the pullstring as the excess seams makes it difdicult.
Thank you. I was wondering where the sewing gap is as I rewatched the video a couple of times and i couldn't see the gap at the beginning but saw that once the lining and the material are combined, it has to be pulled through a gap. Got a bit confused..
As a beginner I found this tutorial a bit more of a challenge than others. But I really like the finished product. Thank you! Edit to add: this bag came out quite large for most of my standard size decks. Think I'll do probably 17 - 18 inches instead of 20, next time.
I think you left too many steps out. For instance the sewing of the lining. I knew what to do, but some that don't sew much might not know what to do when it comes time to turn them. There are other things that I would change, but I guess that's up to the individuals' taste.
I have watched several times, and I still have absolutely no idea how to turn the lining so that the lining is on the inside and the fabric shows on the outside!!??😢
Newbie in sewing. 3 times did this tutorial but failed always. When i attach each other then sew in the top, when i start to put string, there is always one side hole only, one side left one side right, it should be 4 sided holes. I dunno whats wrong with it.
It is 2 holes, one on the left, one on the right. You pass 1 piece of string through the right first, then all the way round to come out at the right hole again; then you do the same for the second string, going in through the left hole, and come out through the same hole. Hope this helps!

So talented at a young age! Sending strength and hope you become a famous designer one day! :)
That's how I started too! It's such a great skill to have

I was thinking same. Splendid photography....all calming and soothing ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐😘
I agree. Other videos have to many ad libs that I don’t particularly care for and are much too long. I am new (

Exactly my experience, with the excess seam allowance.

Super nice finished product. Wonder what seam allowance you used and how to measure boxed corners.

Some parts cannot be seen well. For a newbie like me, I need to see things clearly & slowly.

hi! sketbbq! Thanks for the comments! See you in the next video!
💗👏
Do you have stores where I can buy?
At 4:11 It says, “sew! Except 0.6in” what does that mean? Where are we leaving that .6” not sewn? It doesn’t really show. Love the tutorial! 💖
The blue line stops where you shouldn't sew. About 1" or so from the opening.
Hi.. Thank you for sharing this..just want to ask what is the name of the string you used?
What kind of fabric did you use for the lining?
hi~ Hazel Guanzing~🌸! Linen fabric was used in the video~😆!
❤
😍❤️
hi~แต้ว แจ้ง ~🍀Thank you for the comments! See you in the next video!
Did you show the part where you make the hole to put the tape through? Couldn’t find that part.
wondering the same.. I assume we just cut a place ourselves wasn't sure 🤷
I have watched several times, and I still have absolutely no idea how to turn the lining so that the lining is on the inside and the fabric shows on the outside!!??😢

3:30 it's very important step but you don't tell me at the second step :(

Did you ever figure it out? I'm in the same boat😅
Actually you just need to leave ONE opening and it works!! 😊 I hope this will still help you 2 months later😆

Welcome~HI~ Safinatun Najah ~🌼! Thank you so much for your comments~! 🌷
Anyone else get bothered by her pushing it through and it bunching? No? Just me? I doubt it lol
It is a very bad video. Almost every step is wrong and then you need to do correction. Don’t spend your time and your fabric
