Going to make these bags for birthday gifts made scrunchies for friends of girls. Just started back to sewing. Your instructions are great. Thank you. Hope you others projects to make.
Thank you! Needed a little bag for my grandson to carry a few of his hot wheel cars to school. Great tutorial. Super easy. I used the same fabric to make the drawstrings.
I have two young grandsons (4yrs old and 2 yrs old) who love to draw. Their birthdays are close together and their party is tomorrow, so I bought them both a sketch pad and some coloured pencils. Our town is having a festival today so I can't get to the shops to buy pencil cases. I found some dinosaur printed fabric so I thought I would make them drawstring bags. I like how you have made it. It looks so easy. Thank you.
This looks quite straightforward, thank you! My daughter is entering her first craft fair selling various wood items she has made, and we are making little bags to contain the chess pieces for her beautiful chess boards!
Thank you for your tutorial. I think I can do that. I do a summer book club with my grandkids. This year I am creating book kits that have four to six little gifts that correspond with things happening in the book. They will open each gift at a specified page number as they read. I wanted to package them in a way that fit the topic of the book so I am making drawstring bags with fabric that fits the books theme.
I had two king-size pillow cases that I wanted to cut down to a regular size pillow case size, so I did that, and now I have the two cut-off ends. I decided to make shoe bags out of them for when my husband and I travel. I wanted to learn the best way to make these bags, so thanks for taking the time to make this video. Looks pretty easy to me. And I love that little iron...I've never seen one before.
My granddaughter needs a bag to collect shells at the beach so I used some fabric in my stash that has sea shells on it. And I've made her a great bag. Thanks for the tutorial!!
I knew there had to be an easy way to make these. Just made one. Thank you so so much. individual gift cards with a little gift for Xmas is whats going in mine. Thanks again.
I've been teaching myself to use a sewing machine (an old 99K singer) and this is the first thing I made! And I know almost nothing about sewing. Thank you for making it so "easy"!
Thank you so much! I'm planning to put some of my ceramic sculptures in this kind of bag, and as a beginner at sewing I'm glad to have this tutorial to help :)
I’m going to be making gift bags, some will be going to a local charity craft fair. This is a better tutorial than the others, you pick up on the need to neaten seams and finish edges 👏
Thank you for this video! I am going to be using this technique to create bags for my guest room linens, to keep them fresh and sorted from the rest of the linens so that I don't have to dig around and worry when visitors show up. Also, I can make them in pretty colors that will make me fee more organized and peaceful.
I made 24 bags for my children's advent calendar- this year I put a 1000 piece puzzle together and then took it apart in 24 sections. Each day they have 41 or 42 pieces to add to make the puzzle whole again.
Love the tutorial, thanks so much! I'm going to use old jeans to make bags with festive ribbons so I don't have to wrap as many presents (think Amazon wrapping bags but eco lol). We have gift bags that we've passed around the extended family for 20+ years😅 so some of them could stand to be phased out!
Beautiful bag and very useful. I like to learn, So I can make it for my travelling for my makeup and toothpaste toothbrush very convenient. Thank you for teaching...
Love this! I'm going to make a variety collection (birthday, holiday, baby, other celebration) and then gift those to my daughter and daughter in law for them to use as needed! And I am absolutely going to package some Christmas gifts as well:) Thank you Tara!
Hi! Thanks for your video! I'm an elementary music teacher and I have xylophone bars (flats and sharps) that go with specific xylophones and I'm going to make a bag for each of my older xylophones that don't have a case already so that we can keep the correct bars with the correct xylophone!
I am making them for Operation Christmas Child boxes. A friend is making tic-tac-toe boards and pieces out of plastic and yarn. The game will go in the bag to keep all the pieces together.
I’m making these for homeless people. A church donates toiletries once/week and needs 20 bags per week. I’d like to have fun cotton fabrics to give to them. Thank you SO much for this easy video
I'm going to make a bag to hold all my vacuum attachments. It will hang in my laundry room (near my vacuum) so I want to do it in a fun color. Thanks for tutorial!
Oh this tutorial is very nice!! Sometime in the future, since I also want to get into resin/dice making, I'd love to make matching little drawstring bags for the dice sets! I know I'd love especially to do so for sets based on a certain Homestuck character's dice (Vriska's Fluorite Octet), so I could make the dice sets and have them in their matching drawstring bags to give out to any Vriska cosplayers I may meet at a convention :3
What is next size of drawstring bag that l can make made the small ones. Like to make a bigger one to carry My project when l go camping Thanks again for the tutorial. Maria
I would like to have our sewing group at my church help me to make the bags to use as "Angel Bags". We will put items in it for people who are undergoing cancer treatment so things like lip balm, travel- size lotions, ginger candies, gift cards, etc.
You make them whatever size you want the bag to be, adding about 1½" to the top for the channel. The ones in the video are pretty small - 3 x 5, 5 x 7...
I wanted to make a bag for the eye mask. I'm making for cancer patience, going in their goodie bag my sister and I are giving for free. We also have been making breast pillows pork pillows to comfort them in the car
What will you make drawstring bags for? Enquiring fabric designers want to know!
We just joined a Dungeons and Dragons group, so I'm going to make them for our dice :)
