I like that you bringing guys in to your range and giving them a chance to shoot. It’s always a confidence builder when a pro takes a little time with amateurs
I would hope you continue to bring more videos like this. I also watch Texas plinking. Long range shooting like that is like professional athletes. Either you have the gift or you don't. Keep'em coming Erik!
Great content. I love seeing the different rigs. Im also glad to see I’m the not only one running MOA optics. I wish I was closer I’d love to do the KYL target.
Looks like a fun challenge. Would love to see this challenge with factory or semi-customs, which is more relatable to the average shooter than those very nice 5k rigs.
Love this! Similar to the Texas Plinking challenge. Nice to see sport shooters coming out with their equipment and different loads too see who can nail the challenge. More please. 👌🏼
Great format, keep it up! I like seeing what everybody is running equipment wise. Was trying to decide if I wanted to run suppressed or with a EC tuner on my new rifle, didn't realize I could do both.
It is a strange feeling to see slow motion. I had that happen to me while deer hunting with bow and arrow. I watched the arrow the entire flight. It seemed like a minute when it was only a couple of seconds. Got it by the way. Great shooting to all of you. 500 yards is impressive.
Yes, keep on doing these. So much fun, and educational for that matter. Feel free to dig into the technical aspects as to why a particular caliber or rifle is suitable for high accuracy at this chosen distance.
I meet Russell at the hotel in Uvalde Friday evening and Clay at the match Saturday morning. Very fine gentlemen, good ambassadors for the shooting sports and Cortina precision
These are the best vids! I love watching a good competition, and this one was fun! Like others said, love to see all the different rigs folks are using, and this would be a good one at 1000 yards (or even a ladder where you start at 500 and move out to farther ranges as you shoot. Thanks for putting this together.
More of this!!! I’d love to see all the people you have on Believe the Target do this. I was really hoping to see you hit that second shot on the smallest one. So, I hope to see you make it in a further version of this.
Awesome video man keep them coming. One suggestion I would make is to paint the targets In between shooters. Having fresh paint is a huge advantage to the first guy of the day. But still awesome video.
More consistent info about powder used etc. for the 6.5CM I believe H4350 is the most common. I was a bit surprised one was using Varget for 6.5CM. Varget burns just a bit faster than H4350 so I guess a lot of depends on bullet weight too.
I’ve recently found your channel and I’m hooked. But i have a suggestion… you have the open sights challenge… how about an unmodified rifle challenge such as a deer rifle? Something scoped but not a race rifle !
Come on Eric....you know folks can clean that with their Ruger 10-22 or Marlin model 60. 😂😢 Just so everyone knows, I'm joking. Love this challenge Eric. Keep'em coming!
This is a pretty great Challenge. I have noticed these local PRS matches I'm getting into all have a KYL stage. I need to set up one on my range and get some practice in. Maybe I can get myself confident enough to come give this a try and get my name on your score board someday! If nothing else, I can get some videos up of me learning it better on my own little channel. I am gonna look into the target sizes I need to get so I can put one of these together this winter!! Dang, Clay, your dad was rocking it out there!! Wanted to say again, Clay was great help when I was getting my rifle build put together. I just did my 3rd PRS match and scored 60% of the max. Got 31 hits of the possible 52. My best match yet, but I'm going to be pushing myself to keep getting better every month at each of these matches. I am posting match review videos after each going over all the stages and talking about what I did well, or poorly, and building a history so I can come back and see where I started and how I'm progressing. So far, so good! I am getting better each time and finding my deficiencies and then working on those between matches and doing them better at the next. Then find the next 2 or 3 things I was bad at and work on them for the next match. Trying to improve my basic skills as I go and get it all put together with the intention of going to a sanctioned PRS match next year once I get more confidence on the basics. Great start to this series, Erik! Appreciate all you and the crew do. Have a great week and a Happy Thanksgiving!!
Our club does this but with a twist. We have 2 sets of targets and shoot a double elimination tournament. Because of the number of shooters we limit our shots to 5 per competition unless there is a tie. In a tie shooters shoot till there is a winner. We are shooting this, in fact, the first Saturday in December at 650 yds.
Such beautiful builds there.. It's so frustrating living in Canada and knowing the wait times and shipping to put something like that together, let alone to find someone with the skill to put it together without screwing it all up. Really hard to throw so much money at a firearm and not see any result for over a year.
This is really cool! I'd love to try it, all I got is a stock Tikka but man it shoots pretty good. Would be neat if you had a hunter class with like sub 7 pound stock rifles only with 14 power max scopes. For those of us who can't afford those fancy rigs 😄
Clay’s dad is a badass! I could watch this stuff all day.
Yeah, he killed it.
I was thinking the same thing
Yes he is!! Clays a solid shot but pops showed up the pup😂
The old man was bad ass!!
I for one would love to see more of this. In fact I would also love to see a KYL stage at 1000 yards too.
More please.
It's fun watching the guys shoot of course, but i like seeing the different rifle set ups. Enjoy seeing what other guys run.
Thank you
That's why I also watch Texas Plinking.
For sure, more KYL. And any other shooting games please!🙂👍
Thank you.
It's amazing that we can SEE the projectile trail on each shot!! Very cool vid!
Thank you
Keep it going! Love the Texas plinking videos also!
Thanks! Will do!
YES haha got a good run of challenges to watch now
I like that you bringing guys in to your range and giving them a chance to shoot. It’s always a confidence builder when a pro takes a little time with amateurs
Definitely awesome to watch!!
Thank you
I would hope you continue to bring more videos like this. I also watch Texas plinking. Long range shooting like that is like professional athletes. Either you have the gift or you don't. Keep'em coming Erik!
Awesome job on that rifle Erik! Cleaned it!!!!
You should do a rimfire version
Awesome stuff Erik! keep them coming. Your hard work making these amazing videos teached me what I needed to know about reloading.
Thanks, will do!
Yes keep it going! It is fun to watch you shoot and make it that much fun.
Thank you
Great content. I love seeing the different rigs. Im also glad to see I’m the not only one running MOA optics. I wish I was closer I’d love to do the KYL target.
Thanks 👍
Nothing "wrong" with MOA, especially if you don't need a spotter.
I'm looking forward to entering the world of Long Range Shooting, so I found this very encouraging and enjoying. Thank You Mr. Cortina
These are the best videos. Those 6BR and
6 Dashers are bad ass chamberings.
Erik, you need to find a way to get Texas Plinking on here. That would be cool as heck.
We may be able to make it happen.
Looks like a fun challenge. Would love to see this challenge with factory or semi-customs, which is more relatable to the average shooter than those very nice 5k rigs.
Like the Stock Car racing of shooting? Stock rigs with limited allowed modification. That would be pretty cool...
5k lol. Some of those scopes are more than that by themselves
Love this! Similar to the Texas Plinking challenge. Nice to see sport shooters coming out with their equipment and different loads too see who can nail the challenge. More please. 👌🏼
Glad you enjoyed!
Yes, that was pretty cool and I really enjoyed it. Yes more please.
Thank you. I'll try to organize more of them.
19:35 DAYYYYYYYUMMMM! I'm at work at I yelled out after that hit 😅. You need to invite your F-Class peers to do this.
I think should. :)
@@ErikCortina Make a lifetime scoreboard with all the guests that competed 😎
It's on the website already. Look at video description.
Thumbs Up! Fun to watch. Would be more fun to do it. Will try this at home. Yes, more videos please.
Texas plinking has a pretty good idea
A perfect shooting sport for gamblers!
😂
Very entertaining, l like the information about everyone's set ups. More please.
Gotta see more! I thought everyone would be running BR variants. It’s great to hear about everyone’s setups. Thanks for doing this.
Sure thing!
Yes for sure, Keep showing us how to stack em up!
You got it!

Realized I wasn't subscribed, I now am and I'm excited to see another channel giving me my texas plinking 1000 yard fix
Another great video! Trying to get the KYL setup at my local range in Espanola NM. Keep these challenge videos coming
KYL’s are fun!
Looks like a hell of a lot of fun...good show...thanks
It was!
Heck ya, keep doing this. Definitely do more, this is GREAT!
I enjoyed it. Please do more!
Yes, more of this. Alot of fun to watch.

Great video and I going to start that here in Panama now to see how we are now 😂
Blackjack! Way to shoot! Do a lot more of this competition! Talk about keeping it centered...WOW
This was a fun video. More please
Great content. Definitely like to see more of this series.
You got it!
Lot of fun watching this. More blackjack! (Please!!)
More of this for sure! These competitions are great.
Awesome video man keep them coming. One suggestion I would make is to paint the targets In between shooters. Having fresh paint is a huge advantage to the first guy of the day. But still awesome video.
We’re not going to paint them anymore.
This was an absolute pleasure to watch. The Texas plinking videos are great and this was maybe even better due to the time limit format.
Thank you
If I would have been there I would have begged Clary to let me send a couple of rounds downrange with his rig. That is a good looking build.
Much respect to the old man going for it !
For sure!
This is awesome, please do more!!
Keep going I am also going to it with my friends in South Africa and I like the challenge!
This sounds fun!!!
This was great to see! Continue on with this!
This style of content is great, please continue to do more!
Thank you. Will do.
Great play! What are the dimensions of the panels?
Thanks for the heart! But how big are the targets now? ..... because we want to try it too....
Dam...love it..can you plz tell me how big are them squares.. I'd love to make one and start playing Black Jack..
Great format and shooting! 🤙
Absolutely brilliant, luv it👍
What size are the targets?
More please!
Smallest is 1/4 MOA
Loved it! Smallest target was 1 1/2" square. What is the size of the largest?
I Believe It’s 10x10. I’ll post sizes on the next one.
Smallest target on the right is only 1½ inches square?
@@michaelpriest58091/4moa @ 500yrds. Be like hitting a .261”x .261” plate at a 100yrds….
Do more please. So entertaining
Loved it! Thanks for putting it on. I will be waiting for the next one.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great shooting, but your action is superb smooth.I must admit I need some recoil, one must get used to low recoil. Thanks Eric!
Thank you
Can't wait for the next blackjack video!! In the next video you should tell us the size of the plates so we can try this challenge at home.
Good idea!!
Great video!!! Please make more of this kind of videos

Definitely want to see more of this. If Heckler and or Colon make it down that way I'd love to see them do it.
Yeah, it would be fun to watch them try it.

Keep doing these. I'm working on building my own KYL target now.
Right on!
Great fun. More, more, more.

Thank you for this! Great videos!
Yes please, more of these🙏🏻🙏🏻
Thank you. Will try.
@@ErikCortina @ErikCortina Do you think you could make it a own series with 22LR rifles? Like 200 yards, would be nice. No one does that, yet😎
Very cool. Target sizes and range?
500 yards. Smallest target is 1.5 inches.
500 yds

Man, that would be tough. but I like that challenge.. Cool!
Great job boys. It was very entertaining.

Yeah, that sucks.
Shouldn't take a year in Canada. Insite, EM Precision, IBI, GBG among others should be able to put something together for you.
What distance and what are the sizes of each target?
Awesome bullet traces…how do you capture them all.
500 yards. Smallest target is 1/4 MOA
