    Useful vocabulary:
    1. Сложно
    2. Дорогой
    3. Около пяти лет
    4. Дарить
    5. Мечтать
    6. Я хочу стать
    7. Жизнь
    8. Другой

I probably understood about 75%, like the previous video. I'm missing some key verbs, but I can at least hear those words and look them up accordingly.

      Я уже знаю "сложно."
ex: вода была очень *дорогой* на концерте.
      Я уже знаю "около."
      ex: Я тебе *дарю* подарок.
ex: Я *мечтаю* что буду лучше говорить по-русскию :)
      Я уже знаю "хочу стать."
      Я уже знаю "жизнь."
ex: Я из другой *страны.* (Genitive case??)
By the way, these listening exercises are really helpful.

Спасибо! You talked in a clear and easy to understand way, and surprisingly I was able to even understand what you said without having to consciously listen to some of the words in the script (I probably only knew about 40% of the words but got about 60% of the overall meaning from the sentences; I had some sort of feeling/thought when I was listening to the two sentences I didn’t know the words to, but for some reason knew what you were talking about. Overall I understood about 70-80% of the story). I had already spent an hour or two learning Russian before watching this video though, so that probably helped a lot. I would love to see more A1-A2 podcast videos like this, as it helps a lot in knowing where I am in my learning experience and how to listen and understand Russian. These videos are excellent and I look forward to seeing more. Я хочу больше видео! Lol

Very good vidéo. Thank you Fedor, you spoke in a very slow and clear way that i was able to understand 80/100 of your text..... I am so glad. Thank you again, but l must tell you that l am involved in russian music since one year. So it has been easier for me. And what about your beautiful russian classic music ?
As an old Lady, l mainly listen that one and also old russian mélodies and romances. It is very usefull to me. See you soon. Brigitte Montet from France 🇫🇷

I think I understood almost 80% of the overall text. I did't get a few words of vocabulary and a few verbs during the first listen but I recognized them when I read the transcription afterwards. Thank you so much for the podcasts, they're really helpful!

Normally, in English where you say that your friend играть на музыкальный струменты, we'd say something like, my friend plays several or many instruments. It is not literal, but for the sake of clarity. I understood about 90%, but you speak slowly, clearly and enunciated your words. I wouldn't be so lucky if it were spoken in a normal native way.

I've been a very mediocre learner of Russian over the years (I'll do an hour of study a day for a summer, a winter break, did a Be Fluent Camp once, etc). and this is something that I really like. Very low-level podcast with text translation provided and discussion afterwards. It's not often I find high-quality, simple dialogue with a direct text translation, all of which are most beneficial to me.

I understood 85% of the text. Your friend loves music. He plays musical instruments. Its his life and his hobby. He practices music every day. He does not earn money, but he wants to write songs and sell them. He dreams of becoming a star. You need to convey emotion through music. My friend has a large collection of vinyl records at home. He's been collecting them for 5 years. Sometimes I give him some records.

So, I've been in Russia for about 3 weeks now, i remember listening to the first podcast and being completely lost, now i understand about 50% of the vocab ,but kind of keeping up with the general meaning of the sentence. I'm gonna stay here in Moscow until August, so i really hope to reach a good level with my russian. I'll keep anyone who wants to know how easy it is to learn the language in the country Being completely immersed in it.

  • @kmonty6188

Im finding that many things typed do not include stresses. this is confusing me as to how to pronounce some words etc. Some are clearly recognizable but that is what I am encountering as a new student. I also cant find a way to type the stresses myself so its just a bit of a learning curve that I find unnecessary when the stresses are very important.
