Wow! I really like the finish and the relic pattern, I love the logo. The woods look great, I like the clear pickguard and that upper horn toggle switch design is awesome. Think I like the yellow one, but I'm not a trem user, I'd prefer a hardtail but then it would kill the 80s vibe. Really cool design.
Gotoh GE1996T Trem - good choice! I'd like to have heard more about the choice of pups used. They do sound pretty epic. Not totally convinced by the over-reliced finish or a lack of 24 frets but they are quite cool (and if that's what Justin wants..). No doubt hugely expensive. I'll have to stick with my HM Strat..
I just discovered you as a company... from being down the road in Faversham, we have a guitar manufacturer based in Canterbury!?? Looking for your website next!
A cross between a Charvel Henrik Danhage and an EVH Frankie. Pretty much my perfect guitar in terms of specs. I really wish HS pup configurations were more popular.
Beautiful guitars but for me I'm more of a traditionalist i use either a Fender Telecaster or a Gibson Les Paul as those are the 2 guitars I've known since i first learned to play Guitar in 2003 and Justin Hawkins and The music of The Darkness were a huge inspiration as before 2003 i had no interest in guitar i used to just play PlayStation all day or football lol so it was definitely a life saver for me , I'm glad to see Justin is still going strong i always remember I believe in a Thing called love and Love is more than a Feeling , really good songs. But back to the point i will check out Atkin Guitars as if they are good enough for all the top players they are good enough for me
I'm loving these new guitars ......but justin you are that guy from the best les paul band over the last 21 years and when I think of an alpine white custom I instantly think of you with great admiration you made you're mark why change it?...
I think this is a really good question; he hasn’t explained why he’s moved away from Les Pauls, I’ve always seen them as a fundamental aspect of the band’s sound. I will reserve judgement until I’ve heard the new album I guess.
I guess I'll wade in. Relic'ing isn't necessarily lame in general, but come on, the wear should at least appear natural. What would one have to do to their guitar to produce the wear pattern on these? It's the entire upper bout and into the horn. There are doubtless dozens if not hundreds of photos online of properly road worn instruments to get ideas from (and no, Rory's Strat doesn't count!).
This is what I love, so many people jump toward Gibson or Fender but there are many guitar makers out there who’s instruments are just as good if not better
@@Bass-ne6dl Ironically even some of the cheapest guitars are very well made because nowadays everything is done on CNC. If you get such a guitar and spend some time sorting out all the things that make it cheap. The crappy hardware, pickups and finish off the fret work that was started at the factory you'll have a guitar that plays and sounds as good as any guitar costing several £1000s for well under £400
relicing new guitars is so ridiculous. if anything old guitars losing paint over time is representative of older paint technology. guitars in the 80s onwards started using polyurethane cause it doesn't wear off like nitro does. to see these 2020s guitars ruining finishes like this is ridiculous.
Love Justin but three grand for what is essentially a souped up partscaster is taking the piss surely? If the "aging" is what bumps up the price tag then surely offering it in a non-shagged finish would make it more palatable to your average Hawkins fan. Honestly not enjoying these eye watering signature models of recent years. I was considering a lefty acoustic from you guys But a collaboration with this guy turned me off.Why risk you image for a guy like this and with tasteless wrecked guitars.
Have you actually played an Atkins before though ? Genuine question because I’ve only ever played one (of their electrics) and it was a quality instrument imo. Definitely not what I’d classify a cheap guitar.

I am sure they play really nice but i dont get relicing new guitars. Why buy a brand new guitar that looks like a piece of shit? Plus the wear and tear a guitar gets over time is part of its story and history, not this fakery crap. Sorry not for me. You gotta love Justin though, so well done on his endorsement.
@@fannyingabout thing is, given enough time and experiences your shiny new guitar will look beaten up. To me, getting a new guitar reliced makes me feel like the guitar is just faked. Fuckin hell I want both of these badass guitars! Love the look! Justin fuckin kicks ass!
Beautiful looking guitar that I’m sure plays very sweet indeed. Love the relic, love the individuality which makes the experience very personal.
This is an excellent video, one of the best Justin has ever made, absolutely hilarious, great chemistry 😂❤

Most impressive thing is Softy's perfect pitch for the Everything I Do solo 😄
That looks like a really fun guitar.
This was great to watch. Wholesome. Want one.
Yes please
09:20 Absolutely 💯 percent agreed. I’m an LP player and modify my strats with the 3 way toggle on top 🙂
The EVH frankenstein is still influencing with this guitar and Dweezil Zappa's new guitar.
Beautiful guitar

I especially like the neck heel/cutaway. Nice axe!

Eddie Frankenstrats in JEM colours, how 80's is that?!
I wish I could afford one!
Wait a couple of years and they’ll be on eBay for £500

It's obviously based on Eddie's Frankenstrat .
How much lol?

But why a reliced superstrat with a Floyd? Endorsed by Justin Hawkins. Doesn't make any sense to me.

No pickup shielding.
Humbuckers shouldn’t need it. The single coil looking pickup looks like it’s a rail type humbucker as well.
