I really enjoy seeing these walks in the neighborhoods like this looking at the beautiful scenery of the houses the canals and everything actually is really great this is really awesome thank you.🇬🇧👋🤠👋🇬🇧
From the VERY limited information available that little weir you found off the river was most likely once used to power water wheels for the once numerous textile - mainly wool - mills that made the town its fortune. I expect all the houses there were built on the sites of the mills themselves. Hope that's useful to you. Cheers for another trip down the ole memory lane.
what an interesting town, a handsome downtown, a precipitous hill, narrow alleys and a broad river. I enjoyed the historical touches too. It has a feel of prosperity.
Thoroughly enjoyable walk Dave. Thank you so much. The route you undertook was very interesting, especially those narrow lane ways that inter-connect the those fascinating parts of the town. The river was certainly carrying a lot of water, aftermath of some recent flooding? Our son went to the town in Feb 2019 for a 10 day training course and said how impressed he was with what little he was able to see. We will get him to watch this video.
Another beautiful walk in the English countryside ❤ I love it!
Thanks Dave! These walks make my imagination fly. Charming streets, alleys and passages! Spectacular views!

Glad you enjoyed it. There had been a lot of rain in the past week, I believe at some point it did flood nearby buildings.

Привет,Hello✋👀👍
❤❤❤
Thanks
Really enjoy it when you pause by a historical information board. I invariably stop the video and enlarge so my aging eyes can take in the tale.
I sincerely appreciate your many church visits. I get a deep peaceful sense of the importance of faith to your blessed country. Thank you.
also that is Holy Trinity Church, the Saxon church is a little chapel across the way from there 😊
@55:02 would make for a spectacular early evening/night shot. in my bossy opinion > chuckle.
The thing in the river is to do with generating electricity. I used to live next to it.
Sorry man, are those places ghetto?.. by the way, I must say that I love your videos..
Ermm I don't believe they are ghetto.
