Hello, friends! If you enjoyed the video and wanted to support my channel, I've just started a "Buy me a Coffee" (in my case it would be tea) page which I'll link here: buymeacoffee.com/shawnaexplores but please don't feel any pressure to, the fact you're here and watching already means so much to me ❤
I just came across your channel and it’s so sweet and interesting and uplifting.. I’m loving all your content and thrifting I just wanted to pop on and say Hello from the US in Texas 🫶🏻🍁
Love this one. I was visiting a couple of weeks ago and I had a lovely walk from Howden Hall down to Morningside. I had lunch in the Canny Man then took the bus to town. Pity I didn't have time for the charity shops. Next time definitely. Lovely video🎉❤
Thank you for your videos. I am a Charity Shop addict and once said to some staff I think I'll start up a Support Group and they said "Don't you dare!". 😂
So many charity shops, the temptation to just get 'one more thing' must have been real. Hope you have had time to enjoy the sun this week, thanks Shawna.
Another glorious Charity Shop Haul video!!! 🙌😍👏 Seriously all of your Hauls are so great. And I adore the notes you embed within your videos on what you were thinking. All of it is so great! Thank you for sharing 😊
Thanks so much for watching, Patrick! After remaining strong and not buying anything in Morningside, I’ve bought two charity shop items today 🙊 hope you have a great weekend when it comes!
Thanks for the Morningside tour, I usually head to Stockbridge charity shops so it's handy to see the offering on that side of town. Haven't been to the Dominion since I was wee but I'm the same- overdue a visit soon!
I did that same Morningside charity shopping - all the way up the hill (both sides) looking for a tartan tie. You’d think I’d get one in the first shop I went to, but not one of them had such a thing..! I couldn’t believe it 😁 eventually I got one in Haddington of all places. 🤷🏻♂️ lovely area though.
Nice tour of the charity shops and the area looks interesting too. Would have been good to include a preview of what the prices are like in the charity shops in that part of Edinburgh.
Thanks for watching! Unfortunately, in general, I find most of Edinburgh’s charity shops a bit pricey nowadays 😔 doesn’t mean you still can’t find a bargain now and then but I don’t have an area I go to for cheaper priced charity shops anymore (maybe more outskirts?)
have you seen one with lots and lots of toys? i'm going to edinburgh in october and would like to bring something unique back for my kids. probably something like vintage playmobil or sylvanian families
Instead of being sweet all the time in your videos, you could give an honest review, girl. The charity shops on Morningside are so expensive it's ridiculous. You must have noticed that. No other charity shops in Edinburgh have such a high prices and they don't sell anything special. I guess you the kind of person who doesn't want to upset anyone and only talk positive. Who cares if shop looks nice if there is nothing decent to buy. Your video could mislead many people who have never been in Morningside charity shops. But it's your channel, so if you only want to be only positive, go for it. Yes, keep it safe even if it is unreal.
This is a tour of Morningside charity shops, I never said it would be a review 😊 also, I found the prices to be a mix. Some were fair and I would be happy to pay what they were asking, some were pricier.

I've managed to buy (donate) you a tea this morning, hope you've received 😊
That's a great idea! Providing some hot drinks is the least we can do in exchange for the time and care you invest in your videos.

Hahaha I love it 😂 I can definitely relate!
That you and your mum believe that Christmas presents should come from charity shops is admirable. Praise to you both.
It’s not always the case but the majority of our presents often end up being charity shop finds 🙊 have a lovely weekend, Diana!
I bought couple things from Armstrong and sons. Such a great time in that shop. Love Edinburgh so much
Armstrongs is great! I haven’t been for ages and must revisit soon 😊
You have so many charity shops in Edinburgh! And I love the variety of heather plants in the florist shops😊
Sooo many! But I’ve found the prices in Edinburgh charity shops are really increasing 😔 Heather is one of my favourite plants!
So many charity shops, the temptation to just get 'one more thing' must have been real. Hope you have had time to enjoy the sun this week, thanks Shawna.
Absolutely!! I had to give myself a firm talking to a few times 😂 and thanks Jeph, it’s been lovely having another mini summer hasn’t it?!
@@ShawnaExplores Definitely, the new profile photo makes a nice change.
I have lived in Edinburgh all my life never heard of the wild west in Morningside 😊
It’s really hidden away! I only learned about it through someone/read about it 🥰
Such wonderful charity shops.
Absolutely! A great neighbourhood for a wander 😊

After being strong at Morningside, you deserve to treat yourself today! 🙌 I hope whatever you got you’re enjoying 🥰
I did almost exactly the same tour last September when I was over from Canada for a visit, except I was looking for old watches to buy and fix-up!
It’s such a lovely neighbourhood for a wander! Hope you found lots of great old watches to fix up 😊 have a great weekend, Fred!

I’d also recommend Portobello, I’m hoping to share a video on their charity shops soon ☺️

I’m so glad you found one eventually!! It’s always the case when you’re looking for something none of the shops have it 🙈

I was inside those shops in mid August. A beautiful area to visit. Regards
So glad you got the chance to visit 🥰 such a lovely area for a wander!
welcome to my local!
Such a lovely neighbourhood ☺️
Hi! This was a very cool video! Have you thought about doing a video of charity shops in Portobello in the future? There are sooo many great ones! 😄
Yes!! Portobello is literally next on my list 🙊 thanks so much for watching!
@@ShawnaExplores Amazing!! Can't wait to see! 😊
I have lived in Edinburgh for 34 years and I have never heard of the wild west morningside 😮
It’s so hidden away! When I first visited it it looked a lot better but has been slowly deteriorating 🥺
have you seen one with lots and lots of toys? i'm going to edinburgh in october and would like to bring something unique back for my kids. probably something like vintage playmobil or sylvanian families
Hmm that’s a good question.. I can’t think of any off the top of my head but I’ll have a think 🤔
I would be like a kid in a candy store there 😅
So many lovely things!! Almost overwhelming 🙊
so many charity shops for so many good causes- I have heard that Edinburgh is a kindly and intelligent city- do you feel it is?
Hard to say as I haven’t experienced living in any other cities but I like to think we’re kindly 😊
I am sick of the charity shops in Morningside, they are so expensive. I can't afford to shop there. Cheaper to buy new stuff!
It’s so sad to see the prices increase so much in the majority of Edinburgh charity shops 🥺
