Broken hanger sections and butter knives could work as the stick. Straws too
Not being the crafty sort, I am confident that even I can do this! Thank you!!
There is a product called PC Wood Pétrifier. You can dip your wooden pieces in that and it will make them pretty indestructible. It works on paper too. I use it for paper beads.
Ohhhhhh!!!! Good to know. I’m definitely going to try that. Thank you 🙏🏻
@6:57 you mention using mod pudge to extend the life of the wood. Another option is linseed oil which is a popular, natural and very effective Wood preserve.
Hi John! That’s great to know... thank you for sharing. I’ll definitely try it out this coming year.
Your way of explaination is very good ma'am
Great ideas! Thank you
Very beautifully done all tags. Nice presentation. Wider choice . Good job
Such great ideas! I normally use flat river stones and paint the plant names on those but I'm a bit over them after 5 odd years...I just brought a bunch of paint stirrers this morning to paint :) Thanks very much!
Thank you for your lovely comment. Happy painting 💖
Last year, I tried to make a cheaper version but, I tried to stick a bunch of them into a piece of foam and spray paint them. that didn't work out too well. I figure using the sugi ban method for the wooden sticks would keep them from breaking down. You have given me much to think about.
Let me know how it goes! I’ll probably make some new versions for this coming season and post another video
Love all of these! I just started a garden and I'm going to make some of these markers :-) thanks for the ideas.
Awesome!! Have fun 💖
great ideas!
How long can the duct tape flags last in the weather?
Hey there! I have some from two years ago that are still going strong. Just make sure to use either metal or plastic for the stake part.. the wood will rot.
I found it! Yay thx!
Hi Tari! Thanks for finding it! I’m sorry I forgot to send you the link on the other thread. What are you thinking about trying?

Great video!!!
I have 200+ plants. So I think I will try the gorilla tape with paint marker on the wire stick. The others you did are super cute! But for now I just want to get these guys labeled asap. I am hoping the paint will stand up to our Fla sun! I have tried so many over the years (plastic gets brittle and crumbles by the end of the season. And wood fades and begins to "compost" lol by the end of the season due to our very wet summer.) So I am super excited to try the wire! Thx for the idea!!!
Wow!! 200+ plants?! That’s amazing 🤩 Have fun and let me know how it turns out! Artline makes an outdoor use permanent marker called ‘Garden Marker’ and it’s supposed to last way longer than regular permanent markers. I’ve seen Garden Answer use it and she swears by it - so you could also do white duct tape with the black garden marker marker?!
@@WhitneyBaldwin thx!!!!!!

Couple other ideas: wine corks, scraps of granite, quarts used for counter tops, 2 part epoxy, or better yet take all those political signs and turn them into plant markers.
Those are great ideas! Thanks for sharing!!! 💖
